Ride Command App FAQ

How do I change between Off-Road trails and Snowmobile trails?
To change between Off-Road trails and Snowmobile trails, select the Off-Road Vehicle or Snowmobile icon in the upper-right-hand corner of your screen, as shown below.

When this is selected, you can toggle back and forth between Off-Road trails and Snowmobile trails.

Does the Ride Command App use data?
Yes, the Ride Command App will use your cell phone data.

Do I need to enable my location on my device?
Yes, your location needs to be enabled on your device just like it would if you were using another mapping application.

How do I track a ride?
Select the map options button in the upper-right-hand corner of the map.

Then select "Track My Ride":

 The app will immediately begin recording your ride. When you wish to end the recording, select "Stop."

The ride will automatically name itself. If you wish to change the name of the ride, select the current name and your keyboard will appear, allowing you to edit the ride's name.

Select "Done" after renaming the ride.

How do I find my previously tracked rides?
Select the "Rides" option in the toolbar.

 Select "Your Rides" at the top of the page.

This will bring up your list of saved rides.

How do I extend or delete a tracked ride?
iPhone®: To extend or delete your ride on your iPhone® device, select the "Rides" option in the toolbar.

 Swipe to the left on the ride you wish to extend or delete and these options will appear.

Android - To extend or delete your ride on your Android device, select the "Rides" option in the toolbar.

Press and hold on the ride you wish to extend or delete and these options will appear in the upper-right-hand corner of your screen.

How do I add a waypoint?
Select the map options button in the upper right hand corner of the map.

Next select "Add Waypoint."

Move the waypoint to your desired location, and select "Set Location."

The waypoint will be automatically named. If you wish to rename the waypoint, select the current name and your keyboard will appear, allowing you to edit the waypoint's name.

Select "Done" in the upper right hand corner of your screen after renaming the waypoint.

How do I create a Group Ride?
To create a group ride, select the "Group Ride" icon from the toolbar. Enable your group ride to "On" and select "Create a Group."

You will then name your group, and you can also require a four-digit code to be entered by users who want to join your group. This code cannot be changed once it is entered.

Once your group is created, your friends can enable group ride on their device, and will be able to see and join your group. 

How do I download a map for offline use?
To download maps, select the three lines in the upper left hand corner of the screen.

From here, you will select "Offline Map Regions."

Enable your Wi-Fi if you wish to download the offline maps while on a Wi-Fi network. Select "Add a Region",and  then select which region you wish to download.

Once the download is complete, the app will automatically change over to this offline map when service is no longer available. There is no way to open or view this offline map elsewhere. 

How do I add a vehicle to my garage?
Select the three lines in the upper left hand corner of your screen.

This will prompt you to nickname your vehicle and add the VIN.

How do I turn on weather radar?
To turn on weather radar, select the layers icon in the lower right hand corner of the map.

Swipe "Radar Weather" to the "On" position and then select "Done" in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

How do I turn on Points of Interest?
To enable Points of Interest, select the layers icon in the lower-right-hand corner of the map.

How do I turn on Riding Conditions or help report riding conditions? (Snowmobile Trail mode only)
To turn on riding conditions reported by other users in the app, navigate to the layer's icon in the lower right hand corner of the app.

Swipe "Conditions" to the "On" position. You can use the slider bar to show or hide conditions based on when they were reported by other users. Select "Done" when your selections are complete.

To report riding conditions for your location tap the options button in the top right corner of the map.

Then you can tap on "Report Riding Conditions". Please note, you must be logged in to report riding conditions.

How do I turn on Snow Depth? (Snowmobile Trail mode only)
To turn Snow Depth on, you will select the layer's icon in the lower right hand corner of the map.

Swipe "Snow Depth" to the "On position and select "Done" in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

I'm having trouble logging in. What should I do?
First, make sure you are running the most recent version of the app. If not, update the app and try logging in again. 

On Android devices, check if Chrome is your default phone browser. If not, set it as your default browser and try logging in again. 

On iOS devices, go to Settings > Safari > "Clear History and Website Data." Make sure "Block All Cookies" is off. Try logging in again. 

If you are still unable to log in, contact customer support at 1 (800) 765-2747 with the following information:

1. Current app version. You can find this in the app by opening the Side Menu and going to Settings > About. The current version is displayed below the Privacy Policy link.

2. A description of what happens when you attempt to log in. Are you seeing a message that something went wrong, a redirect loop, an endless spinner or something else? If possible, record your screen while attempting a log in.

3. Customer support may ask you for a diagnostic or bug report to better understand the issue. To do so, please follow these instructions.
