Dan began snowmobiling out of necessity as a way to access the backcountry to snowboard. Snowmobiling became his winter sport of choice and he turned pro in his late teens. He has now ridden for Polaris for over ten years. Through his Next Level Riding Clinics, he teaches snowmobilers from all over the world the basic fundamentals of off trail mountain riding. Each clinic emphasizes both the fun and dangers of mountain sledding to create a more rewarding and safe experience. The power of snowmobiles today allows him to access more terrain than ever before and to navigate almost any mountain as long as proper respect is given to the environment. He encourages every snowmobiler to leave the trailhead prepared and to “Ride safe, ride smart, ride often, and ride to ride another day.” When not snowmobiling and leading Next Level Riding Clinics, he works at his Blacktop Pros business. In the future, he plans to try diving somewhere to overcome his paralyzing fear of sharks.
