The little bit I have rode it was awesome love the sled ended up jumping down a corness 1st ride out sled landed on me broke 9 ribs collapsed lung and ruptured spleen not sleds fault doesn't have a scratch on it only 18 miles on it but will try again next year

blown motor at 1900 kms
have always owned Polaris sleds but not impressed when this one blew up and then my other 2019 163 blew up at 1600 kms two days later. pretty expensive weekend

Going into the deep
I backcountry ski and the rocky mountain king is the perfect sled to get me to the goods here in the east
Just don’t ask me where I go! but with optional side ski racks it makes the trek a whole lot easier with its 155 track and light weight i can climb to the top and back
it also works surprisingly well on the groomed trails to get me to the deep

Fun but came at a cost
After a few suspension modifications to sled was a blast to ride but I only owned it for 400 miles. Warranty covered the motor but it didn’t cover the last time I had not getting to ride the snowmobile while we waited eight weeks for an engine. Polaris tried to make up for it with a year warranty and some free accessories.

I’ll be blunt and simple with you, I was not nearly as impressed with this sled as I had hoped to be! Every ride I went on the track would ratchet, so I would tighten it, ended up breaking the drivers because it was so tight (from it always ratcheting) the dealer wouldn’t warranty which was very frustrating. Also about every other ride the sled would bog very bad and only tack about 6800rpm the dealer also didn’t do anything about that. I’m not using this as a place to “bash” Polaris. When it would run it would run really well but majority of the time it was broke down. Thank you for your time.

Not my daddy’s sled…better.
I grew up riding snowmobiles in the 80s and 90s and was pretty good with the old style of sled. Then I was unable to ride for about 25 years. So when I got back to the mountains the first big purchase I made was two new mountain sleds. And what a ride. The first time out I had trouble carving and getting the sled on edge. The old sleds you didn’t ride like that. It made for some difficult turning and sidehilling but once I rode a few times and got the balance feel, the fun started. I could go places I never was able to before. These machines are truly amazing.

Break in fouls all the plugs.
Very frustrating having to carry 3 sets of plugs in the mountains until you get out of break in for 18 hrs at 5500 rpm. Really annoying. Finally got it out of break in, ran awesome. Then, it was over revving and backfiring and sputtering so changed the weights and ran better. My odometer stopped working at 173 miles so I only have my hour meter on the display to tell how much the sled was ridden. Worst new sled purchase experience ever.

Overall good sled
This is a very light and nimble sled, very easy to ride all day. Had lots of problems with motor reliability and it only has 800 miles on it. Hard to start, fowls plugs a lot even burns them up sometimes, and has a studder around 5000 rpm.

Great sled
Chassis is extremely light to handle and makes technical riding very predictable. The 850 engine has a very crisp throttle response and tons of power from the bottom end to the top making it feel easier to ride and taking me places where you normally have really work a breeze !!

I have owned a handfull of new Polaris sleds and this is by far the best when the track isn't ratcheting to the point of being unrideable and ruined multiple rides last winter. I have never been so disappointed by a new purchase in my life. I am an experienced rider and capable mechanic and keep the track tension adjusted to factory specs. Polaris has refused to take responsibility for this in any way.
Don't even get me started on the baloney "sea level" clutching I had to pay extra for that didn't work from day one.

Missed the mark
Polaris could have had a home run with this sled but the issues with track durability and driver set up on the Series 8 track really missed the mark. The lack of support from Polaris customer service and the dealer not having the knowledge to address the issue with Polaris having no accountability on a premium product is very disappointing. After spending upwards of a thousand more to change the driver set up the track life span is likely still going to fall short and be needing a replacement in less than 24 months of ownership. 4 year warranty is great, if Polaris stood behind their product.

Soooooo Playfull
This was my first "short track" mountain sled and boy was I impressed! The QD2 combined with the 2.75" track makes for instant track speed. The Walker Evans shocks and the Khaos suspension work together to provide tons of ski-up wheely action. This is not the best climber but if you want to have more fun getting to the top than your long track freinds this is the sled. I put on 20% more miles than my buddies running longer track just because of how much track speed this beast has.

The sled that does it all! I ride Upper MI, CO, ID, WY, MT each year. To have one sled that does it all at each elevation and snow condition to the extreme is the 850 Khaos 155". Its lightweight, nimble, powerful, reliable and the fun factor is unreal!

Je suis très satisfais dans l'ensemble, superbe maniabilité en neige profonde. Mais, il y a un Mais. #1-Comme bien d'autres propriétaire de Polaris, environ une fois sur deux je devais changer une bougie lors du premier démarrage le matin. Par compte, je n'ai eu aucun problème à se niveau pour les 30 première heures. #2- La chenille 2.75 est fabuleuse, mais malheureusement trop fragile, j'ai fais 600 km l'hiver dernier et j'avais une vingtaine de crampon d'endommagé. J'ai mis 1750 km sur ma Polaris Pro RMK 2019 et aucun crampon n'était endommagé, j'avais la 155 2.6....Dernier Point, les ski rubbers sont également fragile, il y en a de meilleur qualité sur le marché. Avec la constante évolution des motoneiges Polaris, les points mentionné ci-haut ne m'ont pas empêché de me commander une Snowcheck 2022, de belles améliorations ont été effectué sur cette machine, j'ai très hâte de la recevoir. Par compte j'ai choisi la chenille 155 3'', en attendant une révision de la 2.75''.

Amazing Machine!
This is the first new sled that I have owned so it took some getting used to for sure. I have over a thousand miles on the sled now and after playing around with the suspension adjustments a little bit here and there it is amazing how smooth and comfortable this machine is. The RMK Assault 155 is so much fun off the trail and on the trail, this machine has gone everywhere that I have wanted it to and done it with ease. Even when I was trying to get it stuck the 800 RMK Assault 155 just pulls it self out in whatever direction you point it in.

Perfect for my riding style!
I really like this powder version of the Assault. I’ve had no problems getting around in chest deep powder in the northern Montana Rockies. I’m all about big jumps and big drops and this sled does it all “ like a Boss”. I’ve owned previous generation Assaults and this one is the best for me so far.

Love the axys platform

It bogs here and there usually on groomed trail
Sometimes it bogs quite frequently on groomed trail, it will be almost 8000rpm's then bogs out to 6200 jolting you. Also I've noticed all the bushings on a-arms are not up to par allowing play in all of the a-arms. And the ski rubbers DO NOT last at all , im already on my 5th one, this is my 5th Assault. Other than that I love it, the 3" paddles fn rip. I ride 2-3,000 miles a season .

Best Sled Made
I have been riding an RMK for years and at the dealers suggestion i snow checked a new assault last year. It was great advice the sled is amazing and I could not be more excited and happy with the machine. The new chassis is not an extreme change but just a little better in every way and for me that's perfect. I love that Polaris made some needed upgrades without recreating the wheel.

Best fit a finish ever, about time! Engine technology is the only issue this sled has. Platform is excellent, don't mess with it. Engine needs attention every two years. Focus on technology in the engine. It may not be an issue on trail sleds, however on these sleds that are pushed harder and turning more track, it is an issue. I had a 2009, 2010, 2011,2013, and now 2016, the only one with no engine issues was the 2011, not a great percentage!!

Makes a rider better
I've ridden backcountry for 3 decades and owned 9 different sleds. I loved my first RMK assault, went places and did things I just couldn't do before. My new AXYS RMK Assault is a whole other level again. Holds a side hill line effortlessly, changes lines with ease. It just plain floats on top of the snow, goes where you want, turns when you want, holds the line you want. It makes me a better rider with less effort.

2016 Assault 800 155. One season old has 1500 miles on. Has been a worthy machine. Possibly the best machine I have ever owned.
However there are a few things that I felt could have improved. Such as the the weak rear bumper that brakes because you drag you flap. The giant oaf skis it comes with, I rock the ones off an 06 best ski ever. The spindles are weak and break at the weak point every time. I also feel that the clutching or perhaps the gearing in the machine could be better than it is. I could go on and on about my sled that's it for now. I will say it's a great machine and still can be improved.

The capabilities of this sled are beyond imagination. Once the throttle is cracked, you would never guess it was a 600. It pulls hard on and off trail. I have never felt I was in danger of being stuck even while plowing through 4-5 feet of snow in the woods. This sled is light, easy to maneuver, comfortable, fast, and fun. I have been on trail, off trail, in the woods, in deep powder, and I've used it ice fishing. It is the most versatile sled I have owned. As I towed my buddy's sled out of the woods last year, I reminded him of the Polaris slogan - "Polaris. We'll show you the way out". I highly recommend this machine.

I ordered this RMK 600 in May 2017, Snow Check, I have over 30 years experience riding sleds of all sorts. This RMK 600 is Exactly what I wanted, this season I have been able to put almost 800 miles on it, and I smile every time, Then I hit the throttle and hold on. I ride the Vast trails and I love hitting the Powder , this Machine does it all. I just wish it came with the walker evens front shocks ,I do not like the stock shocks on the front. the rear is perfect.

This is my 3rd version of the 600 RMK. The noticeable difference is the IGX rear suspension which is leaps and bounds better than the Pro Ride's rear suspension. The front suspension is also an upgrade over the Pro Ride. The lighter weight is also a plus. The ergonomics are a huge improvement The only complaint is the hand warmers are not very warm.

Truly an amazing sled, I love it.
The sled isn't compatible to any sled out there. The handling in deep snow and in hill climbing isn't explainable, you gotta have one to see. Truly an amazing snowmobile, I had previous type of sled in the past from IQ's to RMK's and the SKS is just a wicked sled out there. My PRO RMK in the passed was just junk toward the riding here in my home town. I do abit of trail here to get to pits and deep snow with my SKS and the machine isn't possible to overheat, but for my RMK I count go anywhere and it would overheat. The SKS is just not compatible to the RMK, awesome for deep snow and trail with the great handling. I wouldn't buy anything else then a SKS from now on and from riding it for the passed 3 years. Awesome sled Polaris!!

Awesome Sled!
I've owned 5 polaris sleds now, The SKS 155 is by far my favourite so far, it preforms well in deep snow as well on trail. I did add the PIDD gauge, Which i feel is a must. The Sled has agility of the RMK, but still can be rode well on the trails.

Finally have my dream sled
Had such a great winter with this sled, was able to put 738 miles on it total. Trail riding mostly but got to play in the fluffy stuff. Spent half the season learning how to ride sled all over again, since my previous sled was an 03 polaris edge 500. Not complaining a bit about that though, I loved every minute of it! Was also able to use my sled for work at the ski resort I work for, during snow making and terrain park events. Was also able to take my girlfriend for her first ever sled ride. She had her own sled though. She asked where she would sit looking at the little seat, I said laughing, "on your own sled." I look forward to riding this sled for many years to come, since this sled really truly is my dream sled, I've wanted a 800 155 sks or rmk since I was in 6th grade.

Love this thing!!! This sled is amazing having the front cooler is awesome runs under 130 even in low snow conditions and that's with the 155 2.6 track. Its great in the mountains and very manageable on the trail.

Blast to ride!
I ride in western QC. Lake and bush trails, marshes and beaver ponds. Great fun running through hardwood hills. Its my first big lug (2.6") sled and is a load of fun to ride! My 2019 Titan XC is excellent for trapping but the SKS is so much lighter and responsive to my input.

Awesome machine!

Strong motor but poor gas management
Nice look, nice handling but poor gas management...
In 2020, I can't understand that I need to change spark plug because they are flooded... Again this past week-end, I was just trying to move back slowly from a tricky position and I have fooded a spark plug (clutch side).
I'm riding snowmobile since 35 years on all 4 brands, I have never changed a spark plug for theses reasons.
Also, I have faced ''detonation problems'' and the only way to avoid it is to ride on ethanol setting with Premium gas.
I Like Polaris products but with theses problems, Polaris push snowmobile owners to look others brands.

Good machine but...
After 6 fouled plugs 1 temps sensor harnest issue and a side panel crack due to à fouled plugs change in the midle of the trail. I still dont know if they will guaranty my side panel. I dont know what to think the sled only have 700km what apen next? Why put chinesse part on a sled? The only thing I'm happy with is my dealers services

Perfect for me!
I bought this sled new in 2019 and have ridden it for the better part of 2 seasons. I am nearly 100% satisfied. I ride the back country of Ontario, Canada and Michigan's UP and my SKS has allowed me to explore places I've only dreamed of going to in the past. I have only 2 complaints. 1.) I had to have a software update due to bogging issues. Problem easily solved though. 2.) The extra cooling isn't effective. Simple solution was ice scratchers though.

This sled meets everything I need where I live. I was looking forward in giving this sled to my wife and buying a more recent one until I discovered that these SKS 146 were discontinued from Polaris.... :( seriously? This model is insane! I'll keep mine and just hope Polaris revives back the SKS 146 in the Matryx chasis.

So far I really like the sled, but there is one issue that I’ve heard a lot of people are having issues with aswell, and that is the track skipping on the cogs when in deep snow. It is extremely frustrating and my dealer refused to do anything about it, even though this is a very common problem that NEEDS to be dealt with. Yes the track is tight.. other than that I love the sled.

Truly my favourite sled to date.
The Polaris SKS has given me the opportunity to better my skills in deep snow riding along with being able to trail ride when necessary, it has given me some great memories getting me into places I only imagined before with its power to weight ratio makes it easy to whip through trees, this is by far the best sled I have ever owned.

146 sks backcountry weapon
Excellent sled with awesome off trail capabilities. I usually have 153/154 class sleds and this 146 kept surprising me. The 2.25 track hooks up awesome and still "trailable". No over heating issues not running scratchers which I had problems with previously on other brand sleds. Even with the skis set to the narrow stance it was still good on the trail on the way to the backcountry. I upgraded both bumpers from the dealer. Second purchase from W.H Dalley in Springdale NL(also purchased a RZR4 from there a few years back). It's my first year on a polaris snowmobile and I am quite pleased with my decision. The 850 engine pulls hard all through the rev range and screams up top which I really liked about a previous 800 sled I had. Definitely pulls harder on the top end then the other 850 on the market.

Welcome to the “dark side”
I had previously bought my dream sled a skidoo Freeride and was not satisfied with it. Friends kept telling me I needed a Polaris, which they all called the “dark side”. I made the switch And have been more than happy. I can’t brag enough about my SKS. Overall happy with the handling the most, next would be the power and the look and colors are absolutely a topic of discussion everywhere I go. I get so many questions and compliments.

Endless gratification
I bought a 2021 polaris sks 850 146 and absolutely love it. I've had many brands and makes of snowmobiles throughout my years, but mainly a skidoo kinda guy. One day I rode my friends 850 xc and rely liked the power and the way it handled. I then decided to venture out and buy a polaris 850. I decided on the sks and 146 because I am not dedicated to just one riding style. I ditch bang, trail ride and ofcourse hit the mountains here and there. I was very surprised how it handled flawlessly on all terrains, not to mention the endless power it seems to have. All in all I'm very please with this machine, although there is 1 problem..... my girlfriend seems to like it as much and I can barely get her off the machine so I can rip around.

I did not get the color I ordered. I got some super ugly army tan and orange color. I ordered black with baby blur trim.
It really put a bad taste in my mouth for polaris sleds. The sled does run nice but color has just ruined it for me.
Polaris did give me 1000.00 off. But I would much sooner have the color I wanted. You had me. There was nothing I could do. If I refused delivery of the sled. I would not have had a sled to ride. Because I sold my other one prior to getting this one.

Months of anticipation followed by disappointment
After waiting nearly a year for my sled to come in, I finally received it the second week of March. The dealer loaded it on my trailer with a forklift, when I got home it wouldn’t even start. I had to race back to the dealer because they were closing. It wound up being a bad fuel pump. They couldn’t get one so they took one off of the sled I traded in. After all that I did put 400 miles on it. I do really like the way it rides, although I have very little faith in the durability.

I have riden snowmobiles all my life, and read all the articles from magazines over the years. They always write as if the "new" models are insanely better than the last years model. Well going from the awesome 2018 axys swba to the 2021 matryx assault, let me tell u first hand...... It is absolutely ridiculously way better than I ever expected. It is better in everyway.... It's even warmer! 7s gauge is super clean, easy to see at night and during full sun. The new 2" track was great on trail and off trail. The new headlight is fantastic. It works incredibly well on trail and off trail.... Best 50/50 sled money can buy.... Polaris has top notch products and are currently making THE best trail sled with the vr1, THE best mountain machine with the pro rmk, and combine those and u have THE best of both worlds with the matryx assault! I would buy again in a heartbeat and most likely will!

Few things could be better. GPS antenna didn’t stay stuck on top of pod.
Windshield mounting system with those little lock rings is cheap and not real easy to do.
Should have push button start by now.
Tether should be standard equipment.

Not what I expected
I had a terrible dealer experience and Polaris did nothing to rectify the situation. As far as the sled goes, not only did the sled arrive without shocks, it was also missing chain case fluid (found that out after 500 miles!). I am a long time Polaris sled owner and this will be my last, based on my disappointing dealership experience and quality control issues.

A sled that works on and off the trail
I picked up a 600sba with the 1.35 track for my wife as she primarily rides trails. I was surprised that it does quite well off the trail as well. (At least in flat swamps. She never took it to the mountains)
The 600 has plenty of power, and the engine has been trouble free.
My only knock would be that the ski stance is not adjustable. My wife put 1100 miles on it last winter.
I prefer a narrower ski stance so I ordered a 600rmk for 21/22 season and it has already arrived.

Very good but like my 2020 Assault 144 better.
The 650 engine with such a long stroke but smaller pistons than the 850 did seem to have a lot more vibration. As an all day rider I did not like the lack of storage space as compared to my 2020 Assault. The only place my thermos would fit is under the seat which was not very friendly to access. To get at my coffee I would have to remove the seat. Then to enjoy my coffee I would have to put the seat back on. Then when through having my wonderful trail side break I would have to remove the seat again to put my thermos away. I t did become very annoying quickly. My stock 2020 Assault had lots of room in the underseat rear bag to carry my spare belt, tow rope, 3 bottles of water anf ofcourse my coffee thermos. It may sound petty but in the real world and spending long days on the trail these things do matter. Consequently I soon dealt it back in on an old style 21 AXYS 144 Assault which works extremely well. In addition to that I was very disappointed to find out that I could not snowcheck a 22 AXYS 144 Assault. I did order another 22 Matryx Assault 850 and have purchased an adventure bag and will hopefully make it work for my many all day long rides

The good- Ride is great. Very durable. Great fit and finsh- looks great. Good fuel economy. Good power. Endless customization options.
The "no so" good- 1. uses an absurd amount of oil. More than any sled I have ever owned. More oil than any of my friend's sleds regardless of brand. Dealerships tell me its "normal". 2. The handwarmers are AWFUL- with the warmers on HI with heated gloves my hands are still cold. This opinion is shared with my 3 friends with the same sled. we all have Polaris handguards and they don't help much. 3. Bottom end and midrange power lacks and can't keep up with other stock 800's with the same track length/height- top end gets it done though.
Overall I love my sled, and will address most of my concerns through aftermarket modifications. Just wish these concerns didn't have to be "fixed" after spending considerable money for a new snowmobile.

This machine replaced a 2017 SBA, that machine was my favorite to date (my 10th new machine since 2003 (Cat, Yamaha and Ski-Doo) this was my first Polaris. The 2021 took over as my new favorite, the motor is strong and smooth, tech like the warmers and gauge are just bonuses for the ride.

It took a lot of riding to finally get the shocks set right for me 1000-1400 miles but after I got them set I loved the machine. FYI if you want your front skis to plant and corner like a race car you have to drill a new hole in your front limit strap make it shorter and then run over everyone infront of you going through the corners. I drive groomed trails but I drive very aggressive.

I love this sled!
I have had many snowmobiles and the XCR 600 Switchback is the best handling sled I have ever owned. I have always ridden Indys but this sled was a 2020 leftover that caught my eye and decided to try it. Corners like a dream and as a 60-year-old woman, I can easily keep up with the men on the trails. Only issue I had was with not much snow this season and icy trails, it had a tendency to run hot. Added a pair of scratchers, hoping that eliminates this issue next season. Great sled!

My Dream Sled THAT DOESNT RUN!
This sled has been in the shop 3 times. It only has 600 miles on it. The software has been upgraded twice. Currently it does not start. The last time it ran we pulled it up in the trailer to make room for my wife's new 2020 XC850 and because of the pandemic we cannot get anyone to work on it till October.

After 350 miles, I love it
With a dry weight of 454lb and about 125hp, the power to weight ratio is amazing. It still amazes me when I think that I am riding a 600. As with any cross-over, it does well with either trail riding or hitting fresh powder. Id say the capabilities of the sled lean a little more toward powder than trail riding. But it is a blast to ride in either case. I had it out after a large blizzard and had no trouble climbing hills and
carving up the pole lines. I get a little inside ski lift on corners on the groomed trail, but its a 144, so I don't expect it to handle corners like my SRX does. Corner to corner throttle response is very good, it always feels very crisp and snappy. Older 600s I've driven, the acceleration planes out around 60MPH but this switchback has pretty strong pull to about 80. The ride over the bumps seemed to be less impressive than I expected. Given that I've been riding a 2001 SRX, I kind of expected a little more ride comfort when the trails get beat up. Especially given the 17 years of innovation in the suspension system, and the added length of the sled over my old 121. Summed up, I am very happy with my purchase. Its light weight, handles good, breaks trail good, and has a potent little power plant under the hood.

well balanced chassis on the trails
I bought this machine with the snow check program. I updated from a 2014 600 Indy. I like the front of the machine and balance in the corners while on the trail but wish it had more adjustabilty with the rear suspension to get a softer ride on rough trails. I am a 200lb rider and I have it set up as soft as possible. I liked the seat on my 2014 better due to it being not as firm and holding snow on the top. The seat is really hard, especially in cold weather. The rear shock may need to be valved softer due to it never bottoming out.

Bought the machine a month ago and love it, the 600 has lots of power in this light nimble chassis! With the tipped rails it handles great on the trail without overheating and handles close to a mountain sled in the deep powder thanks to the axis chassis. The 87 octane methenol mode is handy for fueling in small towns that don't have premium. Used to ride a 16 renegade 600 with a 137 track and this is a lot more machine for less money.... Highly recommended!

Riding this machine gives me so much confidence. The ability to adjust the sled to any rider with just a few clicks is unmatched. Literally, anybody can ride this sled for an extended amount of time. Oh and don’t forget about that clutch. Man that clutching system is out of this world, you can literally and I’m not kidding, be going 70 mph and pin the throttle and still be able to lift the sled. It outrageous addictive to ride. Never a dull moment on the sled.

I bought this sled because I had a 2015 Switchback 800 pro s and just loved it so I bought another one. Excellent sled but had trouble with the belt slipping and engine revving to high. After much testing went to a softer older belt used on the 2015 to 2018 switchbacks. Polaris has always had one of the best clutch setups but they missed the mark this time..

Best sled I’ve ever owned
I love the nearly bottomless suspension. Grab a hand full of throttle and this 850 patriot pulls hard all the way to 100 mph. I put aftermarket USI X2 skis and 8” shaper bar carbides and it handles like it’s on rails. I’m getting around 20 mpg with moderate speeds on trail ( 50-60 ) mph. The 136” track is smooth and seems to take the chatter out of the rhythmic bumps. The LED headlights are insanely bright. My girlfriend loves riding with me so I put the two up set and back rest on for her, I give the rear shock a couple clicks and we are off! See ya later by!!!!!!

I upgraded from a 2005 xc600 to this sled after riding my husband's 2016 Adventure. The first 50 miles were awful! I told my husband that I felt the sled controlled me instead of me controlling the sled. He put dual carbides on my sled and it fixed the problem. I wish Polaris would just put duallys on from the git go. That being said I am very happy with my new ride.

I've owned my 2018 switchback adventure going on 3 seasons now. Fantastic all around machine. Comfortable over long distances, and a missile out of the hole!

Bought my sled in 2018 and have 2,300 miles on her. Bought a wrap kit and put it on to personalize sled. I love the way it is lightweight and handles. I have rode it in almost every condition possible for the UP of Michigan and North woods of Wisconsin.

I bought my new sled back in the spring of 2018 on snow check
snow check delivery is not good ( delivery was late I was not happy )
I had to go after my dealer to get me a sled ( thanks to my dealer they got me a sled they ben over backwards to help me out )
it was time to ride and no sled
when I got my new sled it was great
it is the best sled that I have had ( this is my 8th sled )
all winter long and not a problem

Fun riding, easy handling, playful trail sled. The Indy XC is really the perfect trail sled in almost any condition. Add the storm track and you’ve got some powder capability for those deeper days w/o sacrificing anything on trail. The 600 Liberty engine is still a performer and has plenty of zip.

Bought my 2019 XC 800 129” as a new old stock in the winter of 2020. The price was right and I put a back country 1 3/4 track and re geared the sled. Rides great, good handling, good power and now with the track and gearing it keeps up if not beats most any sled out there!!

This sled has never let me down! This was a first year production and I never had the issue that others were having. This sled never fouled a spark plug, I have 3400 flawless miles on it and it’s handled every single thing the trails could throw at it. My best sled YET!!!

You are not going to like the first part
If you read this, this to let you know of my experience in snowmobiling. Have been riding from 1976 and have about 100,000 miles on a snowmobile.
First 2 rides were at speeds of 35 mph or less. Next ride I was able to go faster at the end of the ride. I was afraid to go over 45 mph for fear of loosing control. The sled would dart severely left or right. Making suspension changes made it better but did not cure the problem. I have about 550 miles on this machine was putting it away for summer storage. In doing my post season check I believe I have found the problem. When the dealer was doing the assembly of the skies someone installed the ski rubbers backward. Forcing the skies to have front downward pressure which would cause the severe darting of the machine.
Now for the rest of the review. Was riding a 2012 Rush 600 Pro R 121 track. 13,000 miles when sold.
Biggest differences was, naturally the power, seating was more comfortable. Gage's easier to read at speed. Even more forward seating than the Rush.
Front: steering was easier and mort direct, I did feel that body movement had a quicker and larger effect on the machine when going into corners. Still getting used to that one.
Rear: better hook up with the 129 track, suspension felt softer but was able to absorb the bumps without bottoming out better the than the Rush, overall I felt it worked better than the Rush.
This machine is easier to ride and handle than my previous machine.
Plus my first new Polaris was a 1990 Indy 650, black with red accents.
This one is a 650, black with red accents.
Does not get any better than that.

Rode countless Polaris snowmobiles since my first new one 1991 Indy 500, this new package is amazing. 650 handles ol’ 800’s no problem, runs with 850’s to 70-80mph.

Truly the best snowmobile that I’ve owned yet. The quick acceleration, the handling very impressive. The 7S display is amazing, the ability to custom set the temperatures for the hand and thumb warmers is awesome no more issues with my hands getting cold.

Great sled poor dealer experience
Sled is awesome. When I got it there was hazing on the windshield. The dealer made a lot of fuss about replacing it but after sharing my experience on social media they ended up getting me a new one. I’m happy with the sled it’s awesome Just sad how the deal went at the dealer. In the long run they made it right.

I bought my 2nd Polaris snowmobile in 8 winters. The Indy 600 I’m not a fan of the hood configuration 3 parts and small screws holding the sides on with difficult plastic slides to match up to. Antifreeze fill requires a long necked nozzle funnel and is placed awkwardly .. the windshield is so small why bother ..

Fantastic reliable sled.
I bought this sled a year and a half ago replacing my 1996 Indy 500. Wow rock solid I average 250 Km days on the weekends through out the season. This machine is always ready. two weekends ago I took it on a 430 Km loop, 8 hours non stop only shut down for gas all types of trails straight flat, very rough and twisty forest this machine never faltered. I've decided to trade up to a switchback pro S 600 but am very sad to see the Indy go.

Comes with too small of windshield , no protection for hands , fairing design is poor knees get cold even with good bibs , performance is very good for a 600 , had to switch standard carbides for 4 in duals handles much better, track is not studded..could stand more suspension bottoms out too much , all ready adjusted to max.

For a girl of less weight it needs a better carbide.

I purchased this sled for my son to ride. Overall we are completely impressed with both the performance and the value that the sled brings. The only negatives were the track being too low of a profile (which we have already changed out) and the suspension springs being a little on the soft side. Otherwise we would’ve given it 5 stars.

This sled handles trails like a dream while still very adept at handling the deep stuff (at least in the flat land). Fuel economy needs improvement. Ski-Doo Etec will run circles around this sled from a fuel economy standpoint.

First new Polaris.
I am a beginner rider. This snowmobile is perfect for me and goes everywhere I want it to. I am certain it will be many years before my skills catch up with the capabilities of this sled. I ride about 50/50 on and off trails. I have never felt that the 600 was not enough power and the 137 track performs great when I get into the deep powder. Snowmobiling has been a great activity for me to spend time with my twin boys!

I spring ordered a standard Indy 600 sp 137. Don't need all the fancy shocks.Just electric start.I have had 12 Polaris sleds over the last 30 years. 500 Indys, Xlts,Edge. Fusion, Shift, Rush Pro R 136. 800 Indy Sp.Loved them all.The shift was a favorite of mine. Simple and stock. Wish I could ride my new sled!
Set my new sled up for myself. Our first trip we went up to the U.P. of Michigan. We came out of the house and my wife pointed at the new sled and said "I'll take that one". She rode the new sled and I rode her sled. She put over 800 miles on it. I never got to ride it. She loves the ride and claims that "it corners like it's on rails".

2020 Indy SP 600
Great sled so far. Fun to ride. Only a few trips on it so far so still evaluating. The 600 motor is very quick and snappy. Hold on if you are going to get into the throttle. :)

Awesome ride!
I bought this sled less than a month ago and already put 250 miles on it. Its great!! It handles amazing and has lots of torque, almost enough to beat my husband's 850 off the line. I am in love with it.

I purchased sled in early January , like everything but mid height windshield. Very cold when riding at zero or below zero. Now I have to shell out $150.00 more bucks to upgrade windshield.

Skid frame shocks are very poor.
