2020 800 SKS 146 is rated out of 5 by 136.
Rated 5 out of 5 by BrianB from Awesome sled. I sold my '16 Pro RMK to get a '20 SKS. I went from a 155 track to a 146 and I dont notice a difference. The SKS may be a little heavier but not really noticable. I like the thumb warmer controls and etc on the handlebars and the under seat storage. It runs on the trails pretty nice for a mountain sled. No over heating issues on the trails. My Pro RMK struggled with trail or hard pack snow conditions. It would run very hot even with ice scratchers. Also my SKS has prewired connections for USB and windshield heater. Its a fun ride and I'm glad I switched to a SKS for the deep midwest snow of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TKR67 from The SKS is just what I needed. I’m in my 50s now. My step and deep days are few now. I’ve have ridden several types of deep snow sleds over the last few years. While some shine in certain areas, there would be glaring flaws in other areas. This 850 SKS does have a flaw, it’s not good at steep and deep. I am fine with this flaw. It does everything else so well for me, all I do is smile while riding. The engine is the best 2 stroke engine I have ever driven. The ergos are good for me. The suspension does very well on trail and meadows. It just fits me. My biggest regret is not having this available sooner. I am very happy with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Oldman rippa from 146 doin 155 things I purchased my SKS 800 146 about a month ago. BEST decision I've made in years. I went with the 146 because I do a little trail riding but love back country riding. Put it to the test last weekend riding the west coast of Newfoundland. I rode with a group of seasoned riders on the Polaris ride tour sponsored by Sledcore. I can say this sled rocks. Deep powder and hills it didn't matter... where I wanted to go I went. Thing will have no issues running with the 155's ... the harder you ride it the more fun it gets. Cant wait to find some deep and steep again and put a huge smile on my face.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Sled head182847492 from Love the sled great power Order the sled in March picked it up mid November put on 2000kms to now awesome sled, but having a few issues with the sled for sure and have been trying to reach out to Patterson’s where I bought my sled about my problems such as side panel clips not locking in, oil cap has been leaking even when I put 3/4 full and my track has been losing a lot of lugs I’ve always took cation when I went out and checked my track before and after every ride ever sense I’ve notice the track I’ve been trying to contact my dealer to figure things out as winter will be done by next week. Thank you

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hans from Suggestion I started with the stock lenght, but than I realized I do more backcountry than I tought. So I put on a track extension kit to go from 146 to 155. It is fabulous, I still have my trail suspension front and rear, my trail seat and my trail handlebar. I call it the ultimate crossover. It is still going very well on the trail AND almost as good as an Pro RMK off track... I can still put my passenger seat on, and that is something you cannot do with the SKS 155... If Polaris would sell a SKS 155 with the same handlebar, seat, suspension as the SKS 146, I would definately buy it!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Cody sks from Very fun and agile sled Overall, I’m very impressed with this sled. I’ve been on a ski doo the last 3 Years and it was a very nice trail machine but you would have to pay for it. This Polaris is an animal off trail. Perfect weapon for the Upper peninsula of Michigan. Surprisingly does pretty well on trail when you put the ski stance out to the widest setting. It runs very well with the extra cooler and new temp stat. Pretty consistent at 97 to 100 degrees. Only bad things I can say is the plastic tab broke on the side panel and the plastic cracked where your knees rest against. That kind of surprised. Other than that, RPM’s have been spot on so far, I just tipped over 600 miles of off trail/on trail riding. Motor is strong and it pulls hard. I would say it feels stronger that ski doo renegade I had last year. Great price point compared to ski doo sno check and options, better shocks, and guage all made me decide to make the switch. Overall impressed so far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TrailJoe from Perfect U.P. sled I bought this sled because I currently own a 2016 sks 155 and was looking for a little more of a challenge where I ride the most. I ride in Upper Michagan almost every weekend that the snow allows and do about 90% off-trail riding while I am there. I love the set up of this sled for this style of riding because of the mountain front end on it and perfect track matched up track that gets you through deep snow while riding tight trees. I took this sled with me out west a couple times this winter and was very surprised with how well it was able to get around in very deep snow. I felt I was able to go most places that my 155 takes me but found out soon that only being a 146 and having tipped rails there were limits. Overall I am extremely happy with this sled and how it handles but there's a couple things I would change. The biggest thing.... literally the seat. The stock seat is much too wide and makes jumping from side to side off-trail a little more difficult than I would like. Also while side hilling the seat seems to dig into your leg. One other thing is the handle bar set-up. It feels too much like a trail sled compared to riding my AYXS 155. I have owned more than just a few sleds over recent years and have not been more happy with my purchase than I have been with my 146 sks.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Prisb3 from Blowing 2 belts in under 700 miles Loved my sks 146 850 when I got it, then blew a belt by 350 miles. Had a slight bogging issue, Pat's Motorsports took care of it and it ran great until 675 miles when the 2nd belt blew. Belt deflection was where it was suppose to be, had to use my 2015 sba 800 as a backup, cause I refused to waste part of my day running into town to get another belt. Love the low end torque in the deep snow but was scared I'd have to walk out of the back woods in the western U.P.
