Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sled great sled. the drive shaft, drivers and track are junk this needs to be fixed. i could not ride the sled the way it was when i bought it had to put a different track and drivers with in the first 200 miles. thats BS i would like to see an update done we all had this problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Impressive First sled i have owned. Truly remarkable. It lifts, it rips, so much power and yet so much accuracy on the riding. It demanded so adaptation of course. But it is truly an amazing sled. It can go litteraly anywhere with ease.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great off trail sled I have waited to wright this review in hopes to have more seat time with this machine. Do to not really having that much snow last year in my area i did not set a lot of seat time i only got about 600 miles on it. so far it has been a really great and capable sled. i did get about two days of off trail riding in and it was great. this sled has awesome floatation and i found it to be really good at side hilling. i was really surprise at its trail manners i have riding some other brands mountain sleds and found them to a real hand full on hard back trails where my rmk was not bad at all. i would recommend this sled to anyone and even for some trail riding.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice sled, beyond my expectations I’ve ridden for many years, cats, skidoo’s, o never favoured myself as a Polaris guy, the price was right and I thought, why not. This machine has surpassed any expectation I had and am extremely happy with my purchase, from the fit and finish to the ease of riding. My only issue is, I didn’t hold out for a khaos
Date published: 2020-09-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Head and Shoulders Above the Competition The ProRMK snowmobile is the hands down the best mountain sled out there. This sled will make you a better rider due the ease at which you can side hill and hold an edge and the sleds ability to get up and stay on top of the snow. You will be able to sidehill and hold your edge with less input and lower energy requirements which will allow you to ride longer and harder throughout the day. I have ridden all major brands of mountain sleds and nothing comes close to the ProRMK. If you don't own one, you should trade in your old sled and upgrade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What mountain sleds were meant to be Love my 2020 850 155. The new engine and improved chassis hit the sweet spot and make the sled finally feel how a true mountain sled should - like an extension of the rider. Love the SnowCheck suspension, PIDD, weight, and looks. This sled was made for the high Rockies. Next stop - factory turbo?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My new Pro RMK 800 I love my new sled, it looks awesome and rides/handles great. Only downfall I have with it is, it has an inconsistent hesitation/ bog (noticed it since new and may only happen once per ride) that chips away at my confidence when lining up a steep pull. Tried a few quick remedies, new plugs, different octanes 91 or 94. It will likely be visiting the dealer to have it fixed. I'm hoping it's an easy fix (sensor or something). Besides that I really do like my new sled and I'm excited for the snow to fall again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Sled I have Ridden The new technology and performance of Polaris never ceases to amaze me. The 850 motor carries you through the trees and powder with plenty of power and quick response to keep you out of trouble and elevates your riding ability to a whole new level, cant say enough good about Polaris snowmobiles!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2019 Patriot Review Strong reliable sled, friends cannot keep up. Only thing missing is a stock turbo
Date published: 2020-08-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely capable machine This last I upgraded from a 2016 axys, which I was impressed with. I then stepped into the 850 platform with no hiccups. This sled is truly a well polished machine

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the 850 Ran like a top every time never let me down best sled I’ve ever owned
Date published: 2020-08-16
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Worst track since the attack20. strong motor Great motor, but doesn't feel stronger than the cat 800 in the actual deep snow. The track is super slippery. Downhill in trees or a chute where you cant get it on it's side, you have to wait a while before following a cat. my friends were stopped on a crusted powdery downhill and I went by them at about 15 mph with no way to stop, out in Sonora Pass. I may swap to another track if I can figure it out. Beautiful sled though, with perfect colors. My red side cover blew off while on my sled deck right after leaving the dealer. ruined on freeway, and amazingly expensive to replace with stickers and heat stuff. Every rider bent an A-Arm over 6 days of riding. Not one Cat needed any A Arms. Too weak or too much of a sacrifice part for the front of the chassis.
Date published: 2020-08-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best sled I’ve ever ridden Totally incredible where this sled will go. Soooooo much traction! Just have to think about putting it on edge to side hill and it’s there. It did take a little bit to get use to compared to the older sled.
Date published: 2020-08-16
Rated 3 out of 5 by from It’s a nice machine It’s a nice handling machine but there is somethings that need improvements. Like the rear axle wheels, track lugs, buttons for hand warmers, tunnel I super weak. But it is a fun nimble sled in the trees. I tore track lugs in the first 100 miles.
Date published: 2020-08-15
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Overrated Ski rubbers failed every ride causing the ski do dive throwing me off for no reason if I was rich I would’ve lit this thing on fire. Have owned ski do, arctic cat and Yamaha. All better than this sled

RMK KHAOS AXYS

Proven All-Mountain Fun

2021 850 RMK KHAOS 155 is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 271.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best sled I've ever owned, and, I've owned a bunch Awesome deep snow sled. But...you need to ride it. It's not made for just sitting there and thinking it's going to turn itself just by moving the bars. It does best when you are really getting down on it. QD2 is far superior to QD1. Real difference in the pull from a standstill. Real decent ride on trails compared to my other Mt Sleds.
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unreal sled Made me way more confident in the tight trees compared to my summit 850 and the local dealership is unreal

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I wanted This snowmobile is exactly how I wanted it to be. Very playful in the front end, making it easier to initiate a side hill. The skis always want to come off the ground when climbing, but with the velocity shocks you have the adjustment in them to keep the skis down if you need. Also the new 850 power plant pulls hard and I love it. Overall it’s been a good experience with the khoas chassis and new 850 engine

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lot’s of fun I’m 54 and this thing makes me smile like a kid! Plenty of throttle makes the thing walk out of places that my 144 would dig a grave.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sled reasonably priced! Put 1200kms on it first year I had it, no faults or issues others than the break in fouled plugs a little more that I expected it to. It’s got good lift, lots of power for the year. It’s even more playful and manoeuvrable than I was expecting and I was expecting a lot from it as they talk about it in all the ads I’ve seen. Went over and above my expectations and I can’t wait till winter!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 850 RMK ALL THE WAY! I have ridden one Polaris after another. I love the way it feels between my legs! Wait....scratch that. I meant to say, "The power is amazing and everything I ever wanted in a sled." Lol. It handles amazingly solid and side hills by itself.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good in powder overheating getting there. Fun ride in deep snow. Amazed that the machine gets hot even with an inch of fresh snow on trails and 10 degrees F outside. Need to hop off trail continuously to keep it cool. It’s rare you can get to a mountain without riding on trails for a while first.
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very fun and nimble sled This has been a very fun sled with the perfect track length for the mountain riding that I do. It has lots of torque and power (even more with the slp twins that are awesome) that will get you to where you are wanting to go!

Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great experience on the snow Coming off of my 2018 Pro Rmk 800, this sled was a huge upgrade. The Khaos features and the new QD2 was great. I have a 2022 Khaos Matryx Slash coming and can't wait to see where the new chassis takes the industry.
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Truly my dream sled I’ve created so many memories already, such a fun effortless sled to ride! There’s a lot of brands out there but Polaris keeps the number one spot every year. Great job guys
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Khaos is the playful sled I’ve been waiting for. The light, playful geometry of the khaos is what I have been waiting for as a off trail prairie rider who occasionally goes to the mountains the new 2.75 track with the Q2 has been a great combo so far. The track, Q2 and 850 engine really make this thing get up and go, if you want it to stand in end in the middle of a field it will.
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Khaos is amazing!! Put just short of 1000 miles and never missed a beat!
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome sled. Goes where you point it! I rode a friend's Khaos and it was an expensive test ride... because I liked it more than my other brand sled. I kept thinking about it until I finally sold my old sled and bought a new Khaos. I love it!
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Next Level RMK As an older sledder I have carried forward some of the old do's and unfortunately a lot more of the don'ts. The Khaos required more time to get used to, compared to going from the previous model year PROs. Once the confidence and trust was established, this is the most fun sled I have owned.

SKS 155

The most versatile deep snow crossover

2021 850 SKS 155 is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 126.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handles Great, Plastic on sled is brittle Overall I really like the sled. However, I do feel that some of the quality is not there. The plastic on the sled does seem to be very brittle. Over the course of the first weekend I rode the sled, I had my right knee push through the plastic panel while slowing to go around a corner, the tail flap broke clean off at the rivets and finally the front belly section of plastic pushed through as well. Originally it was indicated the tail flap would not be covered under warranty, when I purchased the replacment flap it was different than the original. I said to the dealer that they ordered the wrong flap. Turns out the original flap was discontinued and never communicated to the customer. Not sure why a good customer (I have had three polaris sleds now) would have to get the dealer to call the rep and speak with the rep to get the flap covered under warranty. Especially since it has been discontinued due to defects. The knee panel is made of the same plastic material and is brittle regardless of what anyone says. Compared to my 2014 pro-r adventure, the plastic is just not what I would have expected. I feel that this portion should be covered under warranty and I can live with the under part not. Overall, of all 6 sleds I have owned (I am only 34) I have never had a knee panel break the way this one did. I have attached a picture of the broken part.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Driver design. This model (2019 SKS 800) has a flaw in the drivers. The drivers pack with ice and makes the track jump. I had a 2016 SKS 800 that did the thing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent power I snow checked my Sled, I needed the SKS for the additional cooling, Pro’s should have the cooler, or SKS should have a belt drive

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not what Ithought, but still awesome! I spring ordered this snowmobile because Polaris did a great job advertising the new 850 to be a big power plant, so I ordered a 850 155 sks because where I live we have low snow conditions but I also travel to where the deep lives. My expectation of the 850 was that it has a ton of low end power which I was right and wrong about. It has about the same low end as the old 800 has. In saying that the 850 dominates on the high end power! The sks takes me everywhere that I want to go, glides through the steepest slopes and pulls through the deepest of pow. Even though the 850 wasn’t what I was expecting, I’m still quite pleased with this snowmobile!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Chassis Love the ride and handling. Only had a few minor issues but we do keep spare a-arms and relays on hand. Probably going to need a slight power increase and better electrical harness to stay on top. I would buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 100% purchase. Snow check is the way to go. Everything you could ever want and more. The best machine on the market. If any of you are doubting this machine on its trailing capabilities, don’t. I trail ride this machine 100km+ every ride. It’s a dream and a beast in the deep snow.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor craftsmanship Q/C and assembly At 30 miles, the chain case started to skip and ratchet. Very disappointed, now sled is in the shop and cutting into my allready short riding season. Not to mention all my riding partners harassing me for not buying an Arctic Cat. Is Polaris going to do anything to restore my faith in their brand?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SKS-The One Quiver You Need In The Arsenal Where do I start with the SKS? I guess I have a little spot in my heart for the new release of this sled, as my first exposure to a long track and the off trail, deep snow riding world was a 2003 SKS 800 144. I digress, this was a no brainer for me when it was re-released, and I was coming off a 2011 Pro RMK 800. I live in NH, where our winters are widely variable; we could have 5+ feet of snow in the woods and elevations above 3,000' or low snow winters where you're lucky to get off trail. I ride with a mixed group of riders as well, some love trail, others ride the woods, so I needed a sled that could let me go tear up 150 miles of trail one weekend, and then ride up in the 7,000+ ft mountains of McCall, Idaho in 8' of powder. I can absolutely vouch that this sled meets that demand 100%. Sure, it's slightly heavier than a pro, but it's going to be with the extra cooler, which works excellent. In riding with Pro's on trail, I never needed to drop my scratchers and constantly stay in the 125 degree range. I went with a 2.25" track, which is not commonly seen, and it was the best decision I could've made. The 2.25 Peak gives you wicked bite on the trail for a mountain track, but shreds powder and climbs just as good as my old Series 2.4. Gearing is spot on for this sled, it climbs great, gets on the surface with the perfect amount of RPMs, and hits great top speeds for a long track on the trails. I do think the SKS could use some heavier/stronger valving in the rear to eat up those harsher trail bumps a little easier, but that really isn't a significant issue. This really is the perfect sled for the guy or girl that loves powder and trees, but still may put on 1,000 trail miles in a season and hang with the short tracks! And let me assure you, you won't be stuck in the lower, flatter zones when riding with the Pro RMKs, it hangs with the best of them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mean looking and fun to ride Great sled only a few issues spindles are cheap I changed them to zollenger racing spindles, A arms need to be more beefy. Seat is real stiff but I still love the sled

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent all around sled I bought my 2017 sks from Jackson sports in Jackson Mn. When I saw this sled last year I told myself I had to have it. So I snowchecked it for 17'. I live in northwest Iowa and usually take 3-4 trips a year to the Snowys, Black Hills, Big Horns, somewhere in Colorado, and occasionally a trip to Wisconsin or Minnesota. Being that I like mountain riding the best, I focus my sled more towards mountain riding. Being that I ride rough ditches here at home, trail ride if I'm in Wisconsin, ride a little bit of everything in the black hills, and try and tackle the trickiest terrain in the mountains, the sks does them all every well. With the extra heat exchanger I never have to worry about getting hot. With the extra boggy wheels I don't have to worry about my slides. I believe more midwesterns should look more towards buying the sks because it does everything well and you don't have to worry about anything! I rode 200+ miles in two days of strictly trails in the Black hill that were hard pack Smooth and not much snow, and my temp never got over 128. I rode the snowys this year in a couple feet of fresh pow with 153", 155", and 163" 3" track and still was king dog. (Rider experience is high).

SKS 146

The most versatile deep snow sled

2023 650 SKS 146 is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 188.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Machine! very capable off trial snowmobile that still has trail manners

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best sled ive ever riden Had it for over a year now , just wished I would’ve got the 4 yr warranty , cause someone backed out of a snow check

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well Bought for my wife. Works well, handling is great and with the taller windshield she stays warm. Steering is light, but reacts like it is on rails for her. Starts hard when cold, but easy once warm but that might be due to it still being in breakin.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great mountain crossover Bought in December took it to Wyoming and northern WI very happy with way it performed in both situations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 146 doin 155 things I purchased my SKS 800 146 about a month ago. BEST decision I've made in years. I went with the 146 because I do a little trail riding but love back country riding. Put it to the test last weekend riding the west coast of Newfoundland. I rode with a group of seasoned riders on the Polaris ride tour sponsored by Sledcore. I can say this sled rocks. Deep powder and hills it didn't matter... where I wanted to go I went. Thing will have no issues running with the 155's ... the harder you ride it the more fun it gets. Cant wait to find some deep and steep again and put a huge smile on my face.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No winter Bought this SKS in October, Spent a large considerable amount of money on this machine. Inadequate winter conditions never used it once, never saw the outside. Pretty soon we won't be able to snowmobile whatsoever. Lesson learned, a real waste of money
Date published: 2020-02-24
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best crossover sled Handles trails as good as an assault. The only thing that would be better off trail would be a pro RMK. The only reason I don’t give it five stars is because it feels heavy to pull the sled over off trail in real steep technical hill climbing. But that’s the trade-off for having it so stable on the trail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2019 850 SKS 146 2nd season in with my 850. Had to get engine rebuilt at ~400miles, but I'm at 2100 miles now and would (will) buy another one. SKS with the 146 skid and the 850 has been SO much fun to ride. Handles trails just fine, and off trail has been glorious. Was more than capable at 8000ft up in the rockies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent sled for New England! When I bought the sled last year I went in with confidence after coming off of my 2011 assault with a 146 with a 2.5. And all I can say is wow the switch from a pro ride to an Axys was amazing the only thing I wish the sks had was the 2.5 extreme I had on my assault! All I did was add a z bro’s bumper and spindles and I can’t wait to ride this year!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This sled just does it all! This is my 4th Assault. Started on a 2011 Pro Ride than 2017 and 2018 800 Axys and now the 850 is the icing on the cake. The fun factor is second to none. But best of all it will also pull my ice Shack ,my wood sleigh and than wheelie on over that obstacle while I'm cruising back home cross country. Words can't really describe the feeling of freedom I get when riding mu Assault. Thanks for putting out such a great product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun, Fun, Fun Fun ride, easy to handle, plenty of power. The sled is easy to maintain.
Date published: 2021-07-09
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pros and cons A good reliable sled, feels good, smooth, good on gas handles good, the one thing I really hated and should of been a recall was those really weak a-arms broke like 5 sets they would break from just hitting a squirrel on the trail and my friends all had the same issue with there sled had to reinforce it with angle or buy after market. And the carbon fiber triangle reinforcements post inside the hood where the revits sit ends up starts heating away and gets sloted away and breaks off causing all your plastics to not sit or close right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most Versatile sled EVER made This assault is a complete game changer for any snowmobile enthusiast! Handles on trail absolutely amazing, I always feel like I’m in control, the suspension absorbs all the bumps (big/small) and with the 144” tracks you feel no push when going fast into corners. The off trail capability of this snowmobile is limitless. Easy to control, light and nimble, insane power instantly from the low end and up. An absolute dream, when my friends get on it to try it out, they don’t want to get off lol way to go Polaris !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best crossover you will ever have This has to be the best crossover sled I have ever driven. I love the fact that when on the trails you think it’s a trail performance sled, but still if you want to go abs find fresh powder you don’t have anything to worry about. Once you go with a switchback assault there is no going back to what ever you drove before.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good not great Everything about the sled was wonderful except the suspension. It was wicked stiff! Hand warmers and brake were spot on fantastic and the new matryx ergo great. Did not care for the new headlight. Ordered a MY22 xcr 850 can’t wait
Date published: 2021-07-09
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lack of snow and coolant. Waiting for real snow to actually try the Assault out. The machine kept over heating so it has a whooping 4.6 miles on it. There was no coolant in the machine when I cracked the engine compartment open. I have refilled it. But spring came to fast. I also was recommended by some mountain riders to get some ice scrappers. I was a little disappointed. I had cancer surgery the year purchased so I couldn't ride until later on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty much exactly what I need Picked sled up In December. Have had several excellent rides this season with no major issues so far. Have had the cylinder detonation warning pop up a few times but has not let me down yet. By far the performance of this 850 is now known throughout my groups of riders as the one to beat. Only 4 stroke turbos can pass me but just barely and only at the very top end. Polaris still needs to update their starters. They don’t always start smoothly and they sound like something out of an old bulldozer.
Date published: 2020-02-24
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Sled I bought this sled as a dealer leftover in the summer. I have 2000km on it so far this winter. My only complaint is the vibration in the handle bars. It’s so bad at times my hands get numb. Even when it’s sitting at idle my hand guards are vibrating. I’ve read this in many other reviews also. Sled is great on fuel and oil and is a great trail sled for aggressive riders.
Date published: 2020-02-24
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Chassis is outstanding Polaris guy for 30 years. Haven't bought new since being on race program in late nineties mid 2000s. A great sled overall. Rush style rear is still my choice over the in tunnel suspensions
Date published: 2020-02-24
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Absolute Fun! I have over 12,000km on this sled. I have had all other brand of sleds and this one is be far the most fun to ride. Its and active ride and lots of power! I have had the turbos sleds and yes they have more power but the 800 is just pure fun! I also have a Pro S 800 with 15,000km. Both sleds have been excellent with no problems to report. The only thing is the storage options suck really, unless you want to put the rack on the back.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great chassis, horrible reliability I've had my sled for a little over a year now and have put 4100 miles on it. It rides and handles like a dream. Only drawback is reliability. It has GREAT power when it's actually running right.. But has been torn down by the dealer twice now.
Date published: 2020-01-25
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the sled. Snow checked the machine, Polaris' snow check program is outstanding, I love being able to change options and virtually spin the sled to view it. Outstanding. My only 2 minor complaints, I added red skis, red windshield, red flat lander seat to the machine on snow check, I'm stuck with the original skiis, windshield, and seat. As a option it would be great to get a credit or some offset so I don't have extras I'll probably never use, and it would bring the cost of the machine down also. My other complaint, this is a premium snowmobile, Polaris please add a heated visor outlet as standard equipment, please, its ridiculous that it's not standard. Aside from that, I love the machine so far. Absolutely amazing piece of machinery. i have a fantastic dealer, Trailside Sports in Espanola, Ontario. The are the best and offer top notch service. Cant say enough about them and how great they are. Cant rate reliability until I've put more miles on this machines.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great response and pulls hard from stop to top Snow Checked. Picked up in November Just completed break in. Need to get miles on
Date published: 2020-01-22
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most aggressive sled I've ever driven! I put my first 100 miles on it and it keeps up with my aggressive riding style and is able to take the bumps like a champ and with the 800 HO is just a insane amount of power and having the GPS is a very cool feature, amazing suspension tuning helps because I'm a heavier rider around 260 because I lift weights so I need a more stiff setup. As of now it's the best sled I've rode!
Date published: 2020-01-22
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Handling and Acceleration Although I haven't gotten to ride this one much yet this year it is very similar to my 2018 Pro S plus a better shock package and track!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Temp sensor repair I sit here Saturday in my garage with temp sensor down. No one has parts or mechanic to look at. It has snowed for two days and will possible snow for two more. What a waste of a weekend. Maybe. Polaris should make there dealers aware of problem and stock these items.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not nearly as good as expected Wish it worked as good as it looks. Sadly disappointed. Should have put more miles on the machine before buying a large amount of accessories. Would have traded it on a skidoo by now if hadn't spent so much on accessories. At least they have a decent warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from comfort, looks, power, drivability, economy over all has been a good ride. no real complaints other than a fair amount of track noise, and uses more oil than other Polaris engines I have owned. seems to run warm in some snow conditions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looking sled with great features I Have only rode about 900 miles so far and love it! But it keeps throwing a shut down code when I put it on the 91 fuel mode!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Sled Bought the Sled 3 months ago. I like the looks and styling of the sled. Smooth ride. Reliability is a concern. Check oil indicator light on dash flashes even though oil reservoir is full. I don't care for the sound the starter makes when starting the engine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy it all over again! Love love love the looks, handling, performance. What a great machine! On the downside, the dashboard/display is a little difficult to use, I can only get it to switch to two different display modes while I am in motion on the trail. And quite shockingly, the digital fuel level gauge cannot be checked without starting up the snowmobile; I absolutely hate cold starting it to read the gauge only to find out that I am out of gas, then shutting it off to gas it up, and then re-starting it again. This was an unfortunate oversight that hopefully will get corrected on future versions of the display unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with this 850 Switchback! Very happy with the handling, ride, and overall power of the 850 motor. The engine is very good on fuel for an 850 and it has exactly what a trail rider is looking for. The machine is good in the corners and accelerates quickly. Vibration is very minimal due to how the engine is mounted, which is a great improvement. The only issue I have had is the temp sensor connector.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I am not happy with the traction I bought this 2019 pro s in December and I so far rode 2 thousands km and from the beginning I thought everything under my snowmobile wanted to break apart. The noise and the vibration was totally the opposite if I compare to my last pro s 2015. With my 2015 I rode nearly 22 thousands km and I am sure with this 2019 it will be miracle if I get to 10 thousand. I am not happy and I think there’s something wrong.

I snow checked my Sled as a retirement gift to myself love it.Great ride comfortably is good it gets up and goes throttle response outstanding only issue I had was with darting played with suspension setting after talking to a Polaris dealer did not work purchased a pair of dual carbides it now corners like it’s on rails.PIDD could be a little more user friendly.Great machine.

Switchback Adventure

The most versatile, do-it-all crossover

2019 600 Switchback Adventure® is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 83.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Alan Review of my 2017 600 ADVENTURE PURCHASED AS A SNOW CHECK SLED, WITH RIDER X disppointed that you discontinued the Plan a ride feature, as a result I will not purchase another sled with Ride Command.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Switchback 800 adventure Great sled for trail riding, not pleased with the accessories on back order. Got 1500 miles on and still haven't been able to take a passenger
Date published: 2017-02-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent ride I bought 2 of these sleds in mid January 1 for me and 1 for my wife. We describe the ride when asked as "it rides like a Cadillac". I even add that this is the first sled I've ever ridden where you can see the bumps but not feel them. I have 1000 miles on mine and my wife has almost 600 miles on hers with no issues. I'm so impressed with these machines in every aspect imaginable and so is my wife.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Most features are awesome, but..... I was actually excited about the allegedly heated windshield box for my phone and GPS. I shot the inside of the windshield box with a laser thermometer after a 45 minute run and the windshield box internally was the exact temp as inside of the rear storage box that is exposed to the elements.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handles beautifully even with passenger. Very happy with the product but all the extras add up very quickly.
Date published: 2016-09-22
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome handling Handles terrific. Love the way it manages moguls at speed. Fuel economy not so good. Handlebar warmer controls need 3 settings. Need an easy way to grease the suspension. Too much vibration thru the handlebars. Seat could be softer. Only got 309 miles on it due to warm temps last winter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from quality control not what it should be the rivets in the tunnel had not been filed down and as a result there were sharp points sticking out from the tunnel and I ruined a new pair of snowmobile pants before I realized what was happening. he sled ran and handled nice

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfort, style and performance! I owned the 600 switchback adventure and wanted a little more of everything with the option of taking my wife along! First ride in northern Maine by Kathadin I was riding with two friends who just purchased 2 new cats. We came across a group of 20 or so sleds taking a break on the trail. Before I hit the kill button the whole group came over to check out my new sled not a word on the 2 new cats! Almost a cross between a Cadillac and corvette! Great sled!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 650 VR 1 129 review This is a great sled that I am very happy with so far. Poor snow conditions in Maine this year so only enough miles to just get out of break in mode. Had the chance to crack the throttle a few times on the last ride and it pulls very hard, harder than the 600 for sure. I loved my Axys chassis 600 XCR, but there was no storage. This is much better with storage under the gage and on the tunnel and under the seat. The gage and the warmer controls are all they have been touted to be. Very easy to use and see and tons of information available. I could use more help with planning rides on the GPS and track a friend and all of that. It's all there, I just have to figure it out. Handling: It definately corners flatter than the XCR and the shocks are easy to adjust. I can't imagine that the competitor sleds can ride and handle like the Matryx, it really is incredible what these sleds can do. My one nitpick is the removable seat. I don't like the one bolt in a groove method for locking in the seat. I struggle with it and this should be improved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good machine I have a 16 xcr 800 that I’ve had for years I bought this to replace it but I ended up keeping the xcr because I love the big bump capabilities. Only complaint is the ice build up breaks my adjuster knob on the front skid shock within a few hours of replacing it gone again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mean Machine I’m very, very, very ready for it to be winter again. I put around 2300miles on this past year!!!! I generally ride with several friends and they are all right on when they say “ I have the keys to Vermont “. I have nothing bad to say, yes I’ve owned an entire gamut of Snowmobiles’s, but no complaints from me!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Indy XC 800 Was only able to get on 1500 miles last winter, thin snow conditions proved out the suspension and handling of the Axys platform. Many trips into the MI UP, 129 suspension eats up the stutter bumps without hesitation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I hoped for and more As a seasoned 25 year rider riding everything from a 1986 Polaris 340 fan to now the Indy 600 XC there have been a lot of sleds in the mix. This sled is absolutely amazing in 95% of all conditions I ride. The suspension is calculated and responsive. It can corner with little ski lift. Torque for a 600 is sharp and defined. Best of all it’s 440lbs and you can ride it all day with little effort and stress. I was shocked coming off my old 600 Switchback to see how good this sled can handle anything you throw at it. I have done 3000km and it is as good as the day it was new. The only negatives that it might have is that it is heavy on fuel and oil only compared to a 4 stroke and you still have a two stroke oil smell. As well you will not beat any turbo or 800 on the lake but you sure can keep up with anything in the trails. Great sled and would buy another one tomorrow if need be.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for the trails. Love the power coming from motocross. 129 is great had a 121 prox and 137 pros. My only complaint is the joystick broke the second trip out and the trial maps are only 65% correct.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waiting for the 650 is Over When I bought my new 650 Matryx, I could not stop gazing over how cool it looked and then after I waxed it I couldn't believe how fast it looked just sitting in my garage. My expectations of this sled was met and then some... 112 mph on the railroad bed by my house, YAAAHOOOO!!!!!
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great handling sled with good power I rode the sled about 850 miles last season. The motor has good power for a trail sled. The handling is awesome and very easy to ride. I can ride faster with less energy than on my 850 Renegade. Overall I like the sled. Not perfect though, this sled is not good in new snow over about 6”. So much snow blows up the hood that it completely covers the windshield both front and back, if you try to stand you helmet and vision is completely blocked by the snow coming up over the hood. See photos. Riding side by side with my buddy on a Skidoo and he has no issues. The electric starting system on this is an embarrassment. I just pull start it so that everyone in the parking lot does not turn around and wonder what is wrong with the sled, extremely noisy. Great gauge package with the 7” display and ride command.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great fun sled! We bought this sled the end of January for my wife. She rode snowmobile years ago and suffered some unrelated back injuries that kept her from riding. When she got her back fixed up she tried riding again and loved it. We looked at all the brands even though we have owned Polaris sleds for 40 plus years. We found this one on the showroom floor and she thought it was a great looking snowmobile. The 1st weekend that it was used it was 30-40 below zero in northern Minnesota and she put over 150 miles on it! The sled ran flawlessly the entire time. We had a tough year for snow last winter so we only got 200 miles on it. But, I sold my 2014 Indy 600 and snow checked a 2022 XCR 850! So it worked out for me too!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good could be better Not the sled I hoped it would be. Hard on oil slow top end my 1200 120 hp skidoo was faster. Rear suspension had to put stiffer springs and still a bit soft I’m only 275 lbs is it made for a child or only real thin ppl

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Probably my most favorite sled to date I've been riding snowmobiles since the late 1970s and this sled is probably my most favorite sled to date. The smooth power and the ride are both amazing. The 129 length makes it easy to have fun in the tight trails but with the ride of a 137. Just love it!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best FUN on a snowmobile in 20 yrs After growing up with BRP and racing for Ski-doo l continued to ride Ski-doo snowmobiles over the last 4 years l noticed no real advances in the Ski-doo product line my old 2015 looked and road exactly like my 2019 ..I researched the 2019 850 Indy and after Polaris updated the rear suspension in 2020 l pulled the trigger and purchased mine .I immediately noticed the crisp steering and quick reacting suspension, after a few days of tweeking the suspension to get the feeling l liked this Indy 850 delivered in ALL aspects of trail riding fun .the handling was excellent and that 850 accelerated the second you squeezed the wow lever. I must admit this Indy 850XC just gives the rider a better experience on the trails ,you are more involved with each turn and straight away .This Indy was the first snowmobile in my life that l actually missed when it came time to put it away for the summer .I liked it so much l snowchecked a 2022 and cannot wait to get it dialed in for next winter .If your that guy or gal that maybe has a sports car or bike at home or a person who likes a little friendly competition and enjoys a spirited ride and you want some FUN FACTOR this Indy will NOT disappoint.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed! On my first and only trip this year with my new sled it broke down!! The chain tensioner broke which caused the chain, tensioner and both gears to break. For the amount of money I invested in the sled and upgrades, you would think it would run more than 98 miles before breaking!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing overall sled. I really like the rider position and handling of this sled. Very comfortable and a definite performer when you want to grab some throttle and crank it up. Handles the bumps very well and corners like its on rails.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great riding sled I think polaris slipped on this part, I wore out the carbides in the first 1000 kms i did this season, They were complete wore on the front and almost like new on the back. After reading thru many blogs and web forums. It seems I wasnt the only one to have this happen to. Very dissapointed at that point. This sled has been a blast to ride and have had zero issues other that the carbides, I hav eclose to 5700 km on all original parts, sliders included(will need to change be for my next trip) The only other issue is the ride command maps on my sled, I seem to be off on my GPS markings either Im way off trails or I am already past an instersection when I am sitting at it. I would check this with the app on my phone and I was correctly sitting on the trail, way diffent then what my sled was telling me where i was. Although for the most part when i traveled to the US i seem to be correct with the maps. Also there should be a way I could map my ride for the day and transfer this to my sled to follow for the day. Also as a side note I was later told that my sled was not suited for 230+ lbs riders unless the up grade the spring to the Pro X rear shock, I would think the dealer would know that. One last point it is a little out rageous for adding a 2-up seat to a 137 switchback, just saying!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fine tune a great sled! 1. I found the pro-s had to low of handle bars for some what of taller riders. I'm 6'1. I had to put a taller riser in the bars, ski-doo has adjustable handle bars on there Renegade! 2. Downloaded the maps in the digital display, "latest update" went to Canada riding an the location pin on the maps would be way off location because of the GPS signal was not strong enough, need to improve that! When I had my Garmin right next to it with perfect location of where I was. 3. Digital PIDD screen froze an went blurry at least 8 times on me, they only way to fix it was to shut the sled off an restart it! Very annoying! 4. PIDD needs to be bigger screen like the rzr's, an touch screen! Hard to see an function Going down the trail. 5. Was not that impressed with the fuel mileage compared to a 2016 pro-s switchback 800, he beat me by 3 gallons every time no matter how much I babied the throttle an we weigh within 10lbs. Of one another. A 2010 ski-doo renegade 800 also beat me, an was nearly the same as the 2016 switchback 800! My sled had 800 miles on it an over 21hrs. So it was broke in at the time we compared fuel mileage. 6. Thumb an Hand warmers an are hideous compared to ski-doos, hi an low, that's it? Ski-doo has like 8 settings so you don't wear your switch out or keep turning them on a off, very annoying! 7. Sled is a very cold ride, had to put bigger windshield on an gauntlets on in order to ride it in the u.p. of Michigan or Canada! burrrrr......... 8. Had to put bergstrom skegs an shim kit on, night an day difference, there was way to much ski pressure, my forearms were pumped before the new skegs! 9. Shimmed the skis's night an day difference, very little darting or tracking! 10. Need to be able to adjust the front track shock from the riding position, like the Rengade, the Switchback is hard to adjust the dial when ice an snow freeze up around it! 11. Need a electric shield plug built in, so your plug doesn't dangle around an disconnect, very annoying! 12. Functional lights on your handle bar switches would be nice ...... 13. I think dealers should take the time to down load the maps on the PIDD for the first time with customer's so that people get comfortable doing it themselves an playing with the GPS. 14. Should have an option for a built in registration plate on the side of the sleds when snow checking new sleds. 15. The pro-s rides very nice, I can bottom it out fairly easy, but you could fine tune the shocks on the fly would be Nice! 16. The power is good with a strong mid range, would like to see a little more mph. On top end and better fuel mileage like the ski-doo has, that 850 ski-doo has some legs on top end smh.......

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Polaris Axys Pro-S Switchback 800 I purchased this in late January (price was right) and only have 315 miles on it. I really love the handling! This thing is just plain fun on the trails. I really wish I could have this chassis with a four stroke, after coming off of a Nytro. My only complaint is that the plastic on the right side hood bows out with the heat of exhaust and comes unclipped at the top. I needed to install the taller windshield for my liking and added some more storage. I think they should all come stock with a skid plate so I added one. Overall this is an awesome sled and a blast to ride! The PIDD gauge is great and I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pro S SB Amazing handling and power I had a 2015 pro x rush and loved it, i recently traded it for a 2018 pro s switchback.. in the first week i put almost 1800kms on it with no issue.. other than a track adjustment and 7 litres of oil.. it had a nice range of trail for break in kms and has amazing trail compliance.. with the 1.250” it has minimal track spin and provides excellent hook up off start.. the motor pulls hard right upto full speed and has a better top end than my pro x did, i believe largely due to the 1.750” track... this sled seems to hold its own in the deep stuff too, so far... i love this 2018 SB 800 and look forward to many miles of grins!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Point and shoot The sled has a lot of power quick is a understatement. Where you point the skis it’s grabbing and going that way. Great riding sled. The two downsides to it is the seat is much stiffer and wind protection could be better. I have 1200 miles on it love to ride it. When you play around with the suspension you can set the ride to exactly how you like it.

Those bars are definitely for hanging on ! This snowmobile has the perfect balance of power, performance and handling !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it It's taken a little while for me to dial in the suspension the way I like it...but now that I've gotten it to that point its an awesome machine. The throttle is super responsive and snappy. The seat puts you up high and in the "attack position". Everything about this sled is fantastic!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A problem about the PIDD I love the machine overall. I have some age-related arthritis issues in my arms/shoulders, and this is very easy to handle. The only issue is that I cannot get my trail maps on the PIDD as advertised here in New Brunswick as well as some other provinces, and I hope Polaris/RideCommand get a proper agreement with the provincial organizations ASAP. I gave up a years warranty for this feature and was not made aware it was not available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best yet For the past 35 years I have been snowmobiling and my snowmobiles have always been Arctic Cat. Last year while snowmobiling in Maine with friends I rode one of my friends Polaris Adventure. I was amazed at the difference in ride, handling and comfort features found on the Adventure. Another friend also an Arctic Cat owner also tried the Adventure and also was amazed with what he experienced. On the way home to Vermont my fellow Arctic Cat owner, the owner of the Adventure and myself went shopping for a new Polaris. After visiting six dealers and pricing new Pro S 800's we ended up at Robbins Power Sports in Windsor Vt., about 18 miles from home. The family owned and operated dealership could not have been more accommodating. The end result 3 new 2018 Polaris Pro S Switchbacks were ordered. We have been riding them this season and clearly we made a good choice. Lots of power, comfortable, handles great, excellent wind protection, great ergo's, etc.etc. I bragged to a friend about my new ride and he went and ordered one last week. After 9 new Arctic Cats through the years I now have a lot of hats to give away.

RUSH XCR

Race-ready strength and durability in the toughest terrain

2019 600 RUSH® XCR® is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 107.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun to ride very fast Snow check model should offer electric start and other options

Rated 4 out of 5 by from XCR 600 After upgrading from an 07 IQ to this 2017 XCR 600 is one decision I don't regret. The handling and performance of this sled is top notch. The thing I'm most surprised with is how well it handles in corners and the acceleration coming out of them. However the first time I rode it I noticed a rattling noise coming from the right side of the sled. After taking it to the dealer they realized the brake shoes were hitting against each other. After putting a spring between the two that seemed to solve the problem. Also around 600 miles the electronic pickup sensor for my speedometer broke. Thankfully, under warranty my dealer had ordered the part in and got it fixed in under a week. One consideration I have is maybe to install some rubber isolators between the side panels and the hood as they shake quite a bit as the sled is idling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome sled I bought this at the beginning of the year have a 1,000 miles on it now, no problems the brakes are really aggressive and make a little noise but I came to find out it's just normal. The sled totally rips. Very happy except for the price I can get it for now since we had a terrible winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from True Trail Terrain Domination By far best handling sled I’ve ever been on! Never do I feel “out-of-control” with this sled! The superior shock package and Axys chassis gives me the confidence to ride through the roughest terrain at extreme speeds; leaving my riding buddies on other brands behind. They ask “How do you do that?” Not only does this sled perform, it’s a blast to ride because it responds extremely well to my body input.

I feel sorry for anyone who hasn't experienced it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from it is a better sled than i thought it would be I just got to drive this sled last weekend. the first afternoon I thought I came of a Cadillac and got a sports car. been driving a 2015 800 axys s. I thought it was the best trail sled going , but doing some miner tweaks on suspension next morning I was impressed with the xcr 800. got the wife to take the axys and me on the xcr ,had a chance to trade back and forth. I like the xcr better and so does my wife like it better also. I wished I could move my luggage bags from the axys to this sled. I do a lot of long distance trips. I put the small rack and bag on this sled and going back to using saddle bags. the group that I travel with are all in better physical shape than me , but by the end of a days riding they are tired out and iam not. what I like about these sleds is when you come to some rough trails you just start grinning . don't try to follow a rush or axys through the rough trail or twisty trails. it cant be done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the sled It's been a few years since i have bought a new sled or even rode. I have owned most of the makes out there over the years. Well all of the have had there good points and bad. I am very happy with my choice i made. I turned 50 this year, my biggest fear was getting sore riding over long distance My first ride was 125 miles, woke up the next day like i never rode. So with saying that. this is my favorite sled so far in ever aspect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great aggressive trail sled Have 350 miles on this sled and I can't believe how well it rides, takes bumps and jumps, turns flat, etc, etc. Absolute joy to ride hard. Plenty of power to 70, tops out a little early but it's a 6, not an 800. Having a blast with this sled, very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Machine, Trail perfect I love the new XCR. It handles like no other on trails. I ride some pretty tough Northern Ontario trails and the XCR rides like it was made for these trails. Light but tough.
Date published: 2017-02-15
Rated 4 out of 5 by from As advertised The sled does exactly what I wanted it to do. I have a 2016 Switchback pro x 800 and love it, great bump sled, lots of fun but it's alittle tippy when pushed in tight corners and needs more body English. The XCR is the best aggressive trail sled I have ridden. Very sharp handling requiring fair less effort and still very capable in the rough. Great shocks. The pro s sleds are way to soft for my style. Needs better instruction to understand and adjust the hi low shocks to get the most out of them. Great sled.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Travel I bought two of these and I like them they are good for breaking trail. The only thing everyone up here in the north is having trouble with is the shocks they don’t last long up here. When it’s cold and off trail the shocks die very easy. Seems a little hard on gas

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very versatile snowmachine! I bought this non current model in late this February and was amazed of the units versatility. I'm able to store all my gear for a weekend fish trip using a large Tough Tote (in pic). Trail handling is better than expected and have traveled 120 kilometers a day several times with out any issues and keep up to heavy trail machines. I enjoy the larger windshield I had installed and notice a huge difference once I studded the predilled track. This year's snowfall ( Northen Ontatio)was huge and there was no issues breaking trail in 5 ft of fresh snow and floats on 18 inches of slush. All in all I'm very impressed and very happy with my choice. Great machine! BTW shout out to Gerry at Bourques in Cochrane. Great service and super nice staff. Set me up perfectly, much appreciated!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all purpose sled I bought two of these for back country boondocking and for ice fishing. They are comfortable for riding the marked trails, agile through the woods for the back country boondocking we like to do, and have plenty of power for the mountains and hauling the ice shack and gear. We've had them in the mountains, "off trail" on old logging roads and twitch trails, and just bombing out through the woods. I did modify the rear with custom racks to suit our needs for what we like to carry with us. The biggest plus is the agility, but the only complaint I would say is they are not as stable as the old style sleds we had. That took a little getting used to. One thing to keep in mind, the wide flotation skies are fantastic in the deep powder but they don't cut a line on hard pack and will slide sideways. Over all, for the mixed purposes, I don't think we could have found a better sled that can do it all. And believe me, I did the research.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awsome Super flotation over 4' of snow got me every place I wanted to go. Hulled in fire wood from bush no problems lots of traction with the 155-1.6 track and the 550 fan had plenty of power. Added 2up seat and large storage rack with plastic insert amazing amount of storage. Extreamly happy with purchase

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great in deep snow I had this for the winter and was out in all kinds of conditions. We had about 4 ft of snow and I ended up being the one to have to break trail as all other machines got stuck. I did not get stuck once. It got through some very deep slush on the lakes. the wide skis make the turning radius wider that other sleds but the payoff is staying up on the snow. Trail riding was great as well, as long as I kept the speed down, again big skis and turning. I would recommend this to anyone doing open lake or deep snow sledding. If you are strictly a trial rider then I would pick something else.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Voyageur 155 I bought it in January. first trip was running really rough. we change jets right away, first day. Machine ran better but not perfect. Next trip the clutch blew up. Dealer, Checkerflags in Whitehorse is excellent, covered the repairs under warranty. This is my second voyageur. The first one runs like a clock. Maybe the second one is a Friday machine.
