PRO RMK AXYS

Proven Deep Snow Precision

2021 600 PRO RMK 155 is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 341.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Overheats on trails easily. Deep snow only type Sled runs good. But has alot of limitations. Really its just a 10k dollar toy. I was hopeing it would be more multipurpose

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My first snowmachine, so amazing to start on It’s really been a great experience with this snowmachine, I was very nervous about buying a sled because I didn’t know much about them. But it’s has ran absolutely flawless for the most part. My primary clutch spring broke at around 500 miles. I was able to get it quickly fixed and I was good to go. I would really like it if I received a phone call about my snowmachine from either the dealer or Polaris themselves asking me these questions sooner. It would have been nice to have a technician help me with trying to figure out why I kept fouling plugs when my broken primary spring failed but it took a ride or two and a couple hundred bucks at a private shop because I was riding so much and didn’t want my sled in the shop for a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best purchase i’ve made ( powersports wise) I was on an M8 prior .. stout motor but it was a tank( sorry cat guys) . I rode the axys platform ( using my buddies ) and it was an instant noticeable difference in my riding abilities. I sold the m8 and purchased the 19 axys 800 and wow! It out performs what i was on 10 fold. It gets up on the snow easily, side hills and climbs . We ride the trees in maine and man it is a game changer fior me .. it takes me to places i haven’t been before. I literally broke the motor in , no mods .. and i was blown away with how it performed!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice and extremely maneuverable sled Extremely light! Unbelievably agile! The best sled I’ve owned.
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 4 out of 5 by from well balanced chassis and performance the balance is perfect, power whenever you need it. smooth riding and easy to up your confidence level on. minus the fact it sat in the shop for a month because it took 15 pulls to start and no one could figure it out even with polaris assisting on their end. other than that it's been good
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lite sled! After one winter on the sled I really like how light edge to edge the steering is. It is really easy to toss around and control. Great fuel economy. My wife likes it cause it doesn't yank her off the seat.
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Runs great, track issues Really love the sled. Nimble, lightweight, great handling. Plenty of power. Sled is reliable. Keeping track tension is an issue, and has way too much vibration and ratchets on hard pulls. Hopefully Polaris will resolve the issue. Snow checked sled and didn't get it until March. Pretty unhappy with delivery date for a early season order.
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice ride but vibrates and track too tight Better manufacture and customer support needed on new design
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best snowmobile to learn to ride the mountains Made mountain riding enjoyable. Sled is so flickable, light and gets on top so easy. Feels like cheating
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome sled It has been such a great sled runs great gets around great I have had no problem with it just such a fun sled to ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sled! They just keep getting better. Great sled! I need to get in better shape so I can really ride.
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Daughters first backcountry sled, she loves it. I bought this 800 RMK 155 2.6 for my daughter so she could ride in the backcountry with me. It was an absolute dream. After a couple clinics and some practice, shes keeping up with me and my buddies. She liked it so much I snowchecked her a 2022 RMK 850 Matrix Slash 155!
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 2 out of 5 by from The green mknster I love my green machine. Super light, flickable. Definitely go places I would never dare to before.
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolute blast I had a 19 pro and now the 21 Khaos and all I can say is wow what a difference. The Khaos to me is like riding 125cc dirt bikes I can ride in my normal position and keep the skis planted or move 6" back and ride it through the tightest trees on the back of the track . Love the sled and can't say enough good about the chassis
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite sled so far The best time to be outdoors and enjoy time with family and friends
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 4 out of 5 by from one of the heard this RMK feels like it's on steroids and gives you full control of this powder hound
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 4 out of 5 by from 850 155 RMK This is not my first new first run polaris. I had a 2012 600 rmk, 2013 800 rmk 2016 600 rmk 2019 850 rmk 2020 850 khaos and a 850 boost on order. I definitely expected issues with this unit. My first 400 miles gave me tons of starting issues. The sled ran so rich I cold not re start with out unplugging the fuel pump. After the first refresh it started alot better.
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect snowmobile. This sled has put endless smiles on my face. Super flickable, predictable, and reliable. I will be buying another in a couple years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from But two of these things one for me one for my son I bought two of these machines very well-built, well designed, very powerful. I'm a beginner at this, however from what I understand nothing more is needed even for the novice Rider. Well done Polaris RMK

Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Sled. Perfect for the Girlfriend I put a lot of miles in the backcountry on it myself and it ran and handled amazing! My girlfriend rode it the majority of the season, first season sledding and was the perfect sled!
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2020 rmk 800 Sled has been very good but very disappointed in the warranty. Lost 10 lugs off of my track cruising through a field and was denied warranty on it without even a look at it. Definitely turned me off of buying new
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from My First Mountain Sled I’ve heard so much about the Polaris RMK 850 , I had to have one !!!!! And it is everything they say. Absolutely the best handling and most fun I ever had ! Easy to ride and easy to learn how to ride the Mountains !!!!
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hands down best sled I have ever owned This sled has elevated my confidence and riding ability. After each ride I anxiously await the next time I can get out and ride again. If you are looking for a game changer look no further than the 850 Axys RMK.
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best RMK yet with QD2 13, 17, 19, 21 and a 22 on the way. QD2 is a noticeable difference. The 2.75 track is very problematic though. Very noisy a d vibrates a lot.
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best of the best Awesome ride with tons of power, even a 155 took me anywhere I wanted to go with tractions to climb and agility to dart between trees
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Sled Made I added a 163 track to my 155 and a turbo and it has been the most fun sled I have ever owned. Not one single problem in 1500 miles. We own 6 Polaris snowmobiles and have a boost on order. Can't Wait.
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Snowmobiling is fun again My Cabin in the Alaska range routinely gets 10 feet of snow . I've been riding Yamahas for the past several years and decided at 65 years old riding is too much work and just not fun anymore . on my 850 RMK I'm 20 years younger and having the best ride in years .
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I wanted! My 2020 850 155 retro graphic pro rmk is hands down one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. This sled will take you everywhere you want to go and some places you probably shouldn’t. The belt drive delivers smooth and consistent power to the track without any slippage. I bought a Polaris vs a skidoo because of the reliability and I could change plugs in the field with ease. There is not one thing I would change about this sled. Very satisfied with my purchase. Thank you Polaris for making a quality product.

Date published: 2021-07-10
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A nice nimble sled The sled is effortless to ride in deep snow. Very little input required to maneuver in any conditions really. Good power and great suspension set up to instantly climb up and out on the snow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Khaos 2021 QD2 165 Pin it and you won't get stuck. Really good snowmobile, the 165 is really helpful to build confidence

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best sled I’ve ever owned Long time Arctic Cat guy riding mountains in Idaho, Montana, and Washington. Hands down the best sled I’ve ever ridden. All my CAT Alpha One bros are switching over.
Date published: 2021-07-09
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sled Great machine to ride but the track is poor. Track is cracking and needs to be replaced.
Date published: 2021-07-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Funnest sled I’ve ever rode Easiest sled I’ve ever rode. Don’t have to fight it to get it to do what you want. Once you set the suspension for your style of riding.
Date published: 2021-07-09
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Khaos 165 I really like the Khaos platform and the velocity shocks are a huge upgrade! I like the little extra lift on the front, just enough without getting you in trouble. Also like the QD2 gearing but am a little disappointed in the 165 track and how tight you have to run it to keep it from ratcheting makes a lot more vibration over the 163, you can really feel the rods rolling over the rear wheels. I'm also worried about longevity, there is already wear showing on the center windows after 600 miles. I'm really hoping Polaris will change the 2021 to the new skid they put under the 2022 due to this exact problem.
Date published: 2021-07-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from good sled i would buy it again. You want me to write more, why can't I be short and to the point.
Date published: 2021-07-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from BRAAAAAP So flickable, light, my riding ability increased huge. The power is unreal. The one thing that I am changing, is the track.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easiest riding RMK I have ridden so far What a nice sled. The new shocks and narrow front end make it so fun to play in a meadow or find your way thru a wooded hill side in the mountains.
Date published: 2021-07-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish I had more ride time Only put 100 miles on. Track had to be tight as a banjo.
Date published: 2021-07-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from it works very well i have riden polaris recreation vehicles for 30 years, it is a great sled. i have snow a new 2022 looking forward to th 850
Date published: 2021-07-09
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent overall but it ratchets in deep/heavy This sled has been the overall best sled I’ve ridden. A friend had the 850RMK Pro 163. Mine turns tighter and is just a bit more playful but the negative is that it ratchets in the deep and heavy snow even with the track very tight.
Date published: 2021-07-09
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Trade in value not acceptable Decent sled but very very disappointed in trade in price for a new 2022 Khaos
Date published: 2021-07-09
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome! Once broke in what a blast, easy to throw around, love the QD2. But once snow check came out for the boost it had to go and I was lucky enough to get one!
Date published: 2021-07-09

Date published: 2021-07-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Backcountry Sled Easy to ride and very confidence inspiring. The new Velocity shocks are great and provides a comfortable ride.
Date published: 2021-07-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Maneuverability In Deep Powder The RMK KHAOS initiates turns in deep powder with ease making for fun power turns, hitting jumps perfectly, and carving up moderate hills. The only downside is its tendency to trench in inconsistent snow...especially "sugar" snow.
Date published: 2021-07-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome sled. I only access chassis many slides before this one only thing I did that I liked and this one was taking the rear suspension to stop a little bit of the front and lift. It is a very easy sailing sled everything else is perfect on it much better than the access after taking the rear suspension.
Date published: 2021-07-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolute blast to ride! This sled has taken sledding to a whole new level! I've ridden all different Assault 800 models from 2009 to 2016 and decided to switch to the 2021 Khaos 850 155, and was blown away at the difference in handling and the response of the Q2 belt drive! Absolutely amazing sled!
Date published: 2021-07-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best sled I have ever owned Sled is a riot to ride whether you are sidehiling through the trees or just carving up a meadow. Unbelievably nimble and can ride all day without getting wore out.
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ride but missed the stock turbo Its an A-plus machine with limitless capabilities. Took me a few rides to acclimate to the Khaos version and a QD2 track. I wish I waited a year for the new stock turbo along with the handful of other upgrades. Turbo or not this 165 sled can go anywhere you are willing to take it. Polaris just moves forward too fast for my wallet!
Date published: 2021-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best mountain sled I’ve owned and I have no colors Wife likes it better than skidoo ride and ease to work on

Date published: 2020-01-18
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the handling Love the engineering of this chassis and the power it has. The one and only downfall is how weak the a-arms and spindles are for the price. Polaris would be smart to make it stock with trenchers or something similar, only for the sks and rmk chassis 155” and up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great chassis and drivetrain Super smooth clutching, gets up on the snow great after I adjusted the suspension, 800 engine is a solid runner especially after break in. Love the extra cooling capabilities of the SKS. I came off of a Cat proclimb and this chassis make everything feel easier when in the deep snow. Plus Polaris has a great ski and front suspension.
Date published: 2020-01-15

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost my dream sled I like my sled but i change my handle bar it was too low for me and i buy it on the phone and the dealer tell me That it was a 2.5 track but in reality is just a 2.25 so I was sad a little and just after 5 miles the check engin was always on and it was brand New

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best All-Around Sled Ever I previously came from a 2018 Polaris Switchback Assault. I went with the SKS for more powder slaying ability. While off-trail, this sled certainly shines, but I was amazed at how well it performed on-trail. It’s by no means a corner slayer, but this sled will do anything you ask of it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome sled. I sold my '16 Pro RMK to get a '20 SKS. I went from a 155 track to a 146 and I dont notice a difference. The SKS may be a little heavier but not really noticable. I like the thumb warmer controls and etc on the handlebars and the under seat storage. It runs on the trails pretty nice for a mountain sled. No over heating issues on the trails. My Pro RMK struggled with trail or hard pack snow conditions. It would run very hot even with ice scratchers. Also my SKS has prewired connections for USB and windshield heater. Its a fun ride and I'm glad I switched to a SKS for the deep midwest snow of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Learning Sled for New Riders Amazing sled. Great in the powder. Comfortable on the trails. Confidence when riding this sled. Very responsive engine. Fuel consumption is good, but wow does it like to drink when the power valves open. But, smiles with every litre consumed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best flatland boondocker on the market This sled continues to impress every time I ride it. It is undeniably an excellent off-trail flat land sled, but is also still surprisingly good on-trail when set to the widest ski stance. My pure trail friends are surprised with how good its on-trail manners are and the low gearing makes for excellent corner-to-corner quickness. Off-trail, it gets on edge easy and the 2.25" track is great for getting on top of the snow.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from was all great tell the motor blew apart I just purchased four 2020 850's. Now that one motor blew up into pieces, I have to ride the rest of the winter with a feeling that the rest will blow up also. NOT GOOD,NOT HAPPY

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this sled I only have three small complaints, the pidd should alow you to Mark a location and then name it on the spot. The pidd USB port cover fell of and is lost. When I first got it it was a botch to start at times. But since this last update it’s much better.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the sled great power Order the sled in March picked it up mid November put on 2000kms to now awesome sled, but having a few issues with the sled for sure and have been trying to reach out to Patterson’s where I bought my sled about my problems such as side panel clips not locking in, oil cap has been leaking even when I put 3/4 full and my track has been losing a lot of lugs I’ve always took cation when I went out and checked my track before and after every ride ever sense I’ve notice the track I’ve been trying to contact my dealer to figure things out as winter will be done by next week. Thank you

2021 600 Switchback Assault 144 is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 806.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what I expected. Finally got my snow checked sled Christmas Eve day. Put 150 miles on it and a front rear suspension bolt that wasn't installed properly walked out leaving me with a damaged front rear shock and missing parts. Two weeks waiting for parts and a 300 mile round trip to the dealership. Picked sled up and GPS didn't work. Ran sled for a week and brought it back to dealership to fix front rear suspension bolts, kept walking out, and fix the GPS. Picked sled up, suspension finally fixed but GPS still doesn't work. Polaris authorizes a new head unit. Third trip to dealership and sled finally is running great less the damaged front rear shock which is functioning. Last ride of the season one cylinder blows apart. Still at dealer in July.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Going from a mountain sled to a hybrid Going from a skidoo summit riding style To a cross over Polaris was extremely easy to adjust for me. I was a little disappointed in the track as it came with 1 1/4 but once I put a 2” on. The sled was everything I hoped it would be,great to play in the deep ne Saskatchewan snow and fantastic handling in the trails! The new touch screen gauges are awesome! Definitely glad I changed breeds and went to the cross over sled!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good sled. Good power. Good powerful sled. Handling is good for the track type. Ride is comfortable in the moguls and making it all day isn’t an issue. The electronics and electronic technologies need a lot of work. The PIDDS is really slow acting and why even make such a small screen . These machines are made in northern Minnesota and should be able to work in northern Minnesota. If your riding at night you will need to have good muscle memory with the controls because there isn’t any lightning on the handle bars for the switches so you can see them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect crossover sled! This sled has been nothing but good to me, I bought it right before a trip out west to Wyoming. At first I was looking for an SKS that’s a little narrower but then you lose the trail capabilities of the assault. I went from an 800 to the 850 and the difference is almost night and day on the low end. Perfect power ratio for hole shot and deep powder. Overall very happy with this sled another great product from Polaris!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome, eye catching machine overall. Lots of very positive and inquisitive comments wherever I went, in spite of very limited trail access due the COVID last winter. Unfortunately for me I couldn't get the suspension soft enough due to a recent back problem. I considered revalving and different springs but decided to trade it at the same dealer for a 2022 850 Indy VR1 137. They called to tell me my 650 Matrix Assault was sold before I even got home from ordering the new machine. A win-win for everybody!.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What i was looking for in a sled Didnt think it would be much of a trail sled but it proved me wrong. I love the way it handles, that i can go off trail when ever i feel young again lol which happens a few times a year. But mostly trail and its great. 9000 km on the original belt and never missed a beat

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trail killer and good in deep powder Rode 12” of powder then blasts down the moguls on the trail at 70 mph. Not an Rmk but still can get after it surprisingly well. Was happy to have it when my Rmk was ill. Super fun on the trail! Wife even rides it standing up and says it’s nice on the bumps. Perfect backup/ wife sled. Be honest with yourself- sometimes you have to trail ride and this is the sled to do it on when you live in the mountains.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The ultimate cross over - hands down! I started out with a used 2011 600 Pro R, then graduated to a new 2016 800 Pro X... and now my new 2020 800 Assault. While I loved the capabilities of the short track on trail, I realized that some comfort and off trail ability was missing. My son snow checked a 2019 850 Assault, and convinced me to ride his for the afternoon. I quickly found the ride to be fantastic, but still unsure on the trail handling. I decided to purchase the new 2020 Assault, and can say without a doubt that I am completely satisfied with every aspect of the sled including performance and handling. I cannot wait until the season starts again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great sled for my wife My wife upgraded from a 2005 600 rmk to this 2020 800 144 switchback. its been great for her. dont have to worry about heating issues ever and she likes the way it handles with the wider ski stance compared to rmk's. electric start is awesome for her also. so far been great sled. i upgraded to 2 inch track for deeper snow capabilities

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome sled! Although I only put 900 miles on it this past winter about 3/4 of that was bombing around with my 6yo on his Polaris 120! It was something special to do with him during the long winter and both of us are already looking forward to the next snow!

Date published: 2021-07-09
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Responsive and versatile GPS is precise. It helped me in whiteout conditions where the trail was lost in snowdrifts and heavy snowfall in a 100 acre field. I just followed the GPS’s direction and it brought me safely to ITS trail. Floatation is admirable. I’m 235lbs and have no problem blasting through 4+ feet of fresh pow. Heated seat and grips work awesome. Break in complete at 600 miles. What an unexpected change of performance when I hit 600 miles. At 50 mph I hit the fun flapper to the handlebars and this machine lifts the front end and holds it. Which I like. I have also adjusted suspension so it doesn’t lift as much. Suspension, power, gps, versatility, fuel consumption, all outstanding. And it looks cool!

Race-Ready Strength and Durability

2021 600 SwitchBack XCR is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 251.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great powerful machine We've only had a few rides this short season, so hard to make a detailed review. That being said, so far so good. We look forward to riding much more next winter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this sled Upgraded from a 2011 Rush to the 2018 Switchback. Huge difference right out of the gate. Ride, handling, acceleration, etc. The XCR flies down the trails, and rolls over the moguls. The longer track is also a plus. Keep doing what you're doing, Polaris!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough and Dependable! One year ago today this sled helped us win a Guinness World Record! The last 8 hours of our 24 hour record we rode this sled at an average of over 86 mph including pitstops! We were pushing over 96 mph each lap including corners! Over 8,000 rpm consistently! No problems! Have put over 2,000km on sled since trail riding, have not had any issues!

Date published: 2020-02-27
Rated 5 out of 5 by from handling Ive had it about a month, it handles fairly well, it pushes corners a bit, and the ride could be softer. Although, i'm 130lbs so I may turn my springs up a bit to set the sled for my weight. I love the power and response the sled has. I cant wait till I have everything set where I need it to be.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A little disappointed Last year the sled was awesome! The first trip up this year was very costly and disappointing. We were 150 miles away from our rented cabin when the sled over heated 1 mile south of Copper Harbor MI. I had to be pull into town by an arctic cat. Then I had to pay a stranger to haul me and my sled back to cabin where a sat for two days while my friend sledded. Not fun! After we got home I took sled to dealer and found out the water pump was toast. Sled has 2000 miles on it. Not a great start on the new 850

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost what I expected I snowchecked this sled because after a lifetime on cats I rode my buddy's 2019 XCR 850 Rush and loved it. I do love the sled so dont get me wrong. But there's a few thoughts I have and one complaint. First off I was really upset I couldn't order a XCR 850 RUSH, But thought the switchback would be about the same....it kind of is I guess. Second....I can not understand for the life of me why a premium sled (and let's not kidd ourselves) an XCR 850 is premium!!! Comes with 4" carbide runner's. I can understand the lower end models, but come on...put a set of premium carbides on it. And with all the engineering that goes into these sleds, why dont you shim the skies from the factory? This thing darted so bad when I rode it I thought something was broke! A simple 3/16 shim fixes this problem and everyone knows it, but that being said it didn't help that my toe out was never checked or adjusted from the dealer (I would assume that is part of dealer prep?) But that wasn't done alone with a good number of other things. Speaking of dealer, I have a leaky rear skid shock and need to know how far Polaris would like me to travel to get the situation taken care of? Because the local dealer whom I purchased the sled from sent me a text message saying I should find another dealer to better suit my needs, including parts, service, warranty and recalls. I personally have never been treated so badly by a dealer. And I only got that text from them because when I took the survey shortly after I took delivery of the sled about the dealership, Polaris must have contacted the dealer about the bad review and in turn I got that text. So if I decide to keep the sled and not go to another brand I need to travel quite a way for service. Or buy a cat or ski doo of which I have local dealers close buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from long live the Rush and other Pro Xc skid machines The 20 XCR Switchback is my 3rd 800 with the Pro Xc rear skid. Still have the other two. One being a 17 XCR Rush 121 and The other is a 2012 Rush Pro R. Love the short track lively ride but Polaris apparently doesnt offer that track option any longer. The Switchback 137 is an amazing ride as well though and far more predictable in corners making it more suitable for less experienced riders and more comfortable on long hauls.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from XCR Awesome 850 inconsistent Ive got 1600 miles on my XCR 850 now. Im loving every one. The Good: The XCR chassis is the best handling machine I have ever ridden. 45 years of snowmobile technology wrapped up into this package. Light steering but grips incredible. Bumps? What Bumps? Now the 850 engine is not disappointing but its very inconsistent. Polaris is doing a good job to work out the kinks but ecu flashes are not fun to do when your dealer is 70 miles away and only open until 5. seems to have sensor overload all the time and keeps itself safe. Fuel consumption is awesome. Pretty much equal to my wife's 600. If not for the inconsistent power delivery of the 850 Patriot engine in real time trail applications This sled would be #1 forever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nimble and quick! This was the first brand new sled I have ever bought, but have rode many over the years. This sled is definitely the best ever. I do primarily trail riding in the upper midwest, and the upright riding position coupled with the feel of an incredibly balanced machine gives this thing exemplary cornering ability for this type of terrain. Coupled with excellent acceleration with a very grippy track, and this sled is a fun time to the tune of a couple hundred miles a day! I'm 56 but in great shape and ride like a monster, this thing rocks.
Date published: 2020-02-25
Rated 5 out of 5 by from 600 Switchback XCR I bought this a month ago and I'm so happy I did. This things handles like no other sled I've ever driven, and I've driven quite a few different sleds in my 50 plus years of riding. This thing sticks like glue in the corners and when the bumps come it rides like a Cadillac! I have the 137 track with the 1.35 paddles I've been off trail some but not enough to give an accurate review. The little I have gone off trail it has performed fine. The one thing I wish it had is a good storage platform to secure baggage and gas can. Apparently Polaris has tried to resolve that issue while placing the shock system underneath the sled. My buddy has one and its not as comfortable as mine in the bumps. We all hate those bumps so I wouldn't want to sacrifice that comfort. Also, For all the money they could put a heated brake lever on them too. Safe Riding!!

Switchback PRO S

The smoothest ride and handling

2021 600 Switchback PRO S is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 382.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best ride ever I've been riding sleds for a very long time but this sled changed the game for me. My typical ride would be about 100 miles or (160 KMS) for a day. With this sled I now ride for 300 KMS for a day and I don't feel sore at all. This sled handles so well, it's like you think about turning and it does it for you, you see a rough trail ahead and you don't think twice about it because it's such a smooth ride. The 800 gives me plenty of power in the hilly terrain and plenty of speed on those wide open lakes. I can't say enough about this sled other than I'm extremely pleased I bought it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Second 800 Switchback Pro S-2019 May first 800 Switchback, a 2015, Was mechanically perfect for 5 seasons and 8,000 miles, less one idler bearing. I miss this sled as traded it for a 2019. As a northern Wisconsin sledder was very confident the sled would return me home each ride, usually 100-180 mile ride per outing. My only frustration is adjusting the hard ride suspension. Adjusting the clicker and coil spring every which way is most frustrating. This 2019, 2500 miles, still is not adjusted to my comfort. Recommend this sled, Yes, Don't buy without suspenstion training by dealer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very enjoyable to ride This is my third Polaris snowmobile. It looks great with the custom colours. It handles great and provides a smooth enjoyable ride. Sadly the brake lock is almost impossible to use. My dealership mechanic tried 6 times before he was able to put it on. He wrote a note to Polaris. Polaris will not deal with this problem. I carry a clamp to hold the brake on when required.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not The Right Machine For Us, Quality Though the quality of the machine is not the issue. We bought this machine for my wife. We got a 800 switchback adventure for myself and we like the 800, but the 600 is the issue here. The 600 pro S feels like a car running in second gear ready for shift all the time. The motor is just working all the time, too hard in my opinion. When we go to the pump the pro s takes more fuel than the 800 adventure. We are trading it in for a 800 xcr. My wife is going into the 800 adventure switchback. The sled never broke down it has done its job. I will only reccomend a 800 or bigger, never a 600 again. See you all around UP!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best sled on snow!! There’s a reason why I am a Polaris Ambassador...I’d never back a product without truly testing its limits and seeing exactly what it excels in. This does it all for a trail sled! The Switchback Pro-S is so easy to adjust to your preference and is 100% the best handling sled out there. Cornering at speeds is a breeze, moguls are no match for the ProXC rear suspension, and pair all that with the smooth and responsive 850 Patriot and you have the most ultimate trail sled out there today. The Axys chassis is famous for its reliable handling, and no other brand comes close to the agility of the Switchback line-up. This is my third Pro-S and as long as they make them, I’m going to buy them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My first brand new sled in 6 years! Headlight goes out constantly, no back lighting to switches anymore. Power train needs some fine tuning, went into DET many times. The 850 blows out the ice attack with its power. Otherwise a great riding sled. Powerful and fun!

Date published: 2020-08-14
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Reliable yet Reluctant to ride I am overall happy with this sled. Having been used to the much lower position of the 1990's and earlier sleds I find the high position very unnerving and have almost not made many corners so far. The sled is reliable, quick and nimble, but the higher center of gravity reduces the safety and fun factor. Adjustable shocks help with this but like any sled this high, I am less than fully comfortable riding it. This is solely my 56 year old preference, as my kids absolutely love it. I wish manufacturers would make the old configuration again. :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing ride This is my second adventure, I bought a 2013 and I was reluctant to give it up because I loved it so much. After close to 25000km I decided it was time for a new sled. I decided to get another switchback adventure. I am so happy. It has an amazing ride! 60 lbs lighter, upgraded suspension and enlarged back cargo space for travelling. It is a beauty. I am very satisfied!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review by wife for non computer savvy hubby! He LOVES this sled. Have had all 4 major makes in 36 years of riding, keep going back to Polaris. He's always been a long track fan and, after riding our 2012 Switchback for a couple of years, decided to stick with that length when ready for new. Haven't heard him praise a machine like this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Sled My sled was an unplanned upgrade from a 2016 adventure 600. The ride once you get it tuned to you liking it is fantastic in the rough stuff. The 800 mill is Smith and lots of power for any rider.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent so far! The Adventure was my choice once my family decided they wanted to come back to snowmobiling. I have ridden all brands and my last sled was a 2016 Polaris Rush Pro S LE 800 with PIDD. The reason for trading it in was to have the Switchback and to purchase the 2 up seat option and maintain all the options I previously had. The Fox air shock works great with the passenger. Very easy to adjust to have the right ride. The QS3 shocks are as advertised. Great and easy to adjust. I find the stock handle bar riser too low so I transfered my Rox riser to the Adventure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Polaris sled I have ever owned! Only have 500 miles on it but after a little bit of tweaking of the suspension, this beast handles great along the trails! It corners great and turns when I want it to turn. The 800 engine has the power I tell you! As soon. As you hit the throttle the power is there! No hesitation! With the axys suspension and 800 motor this I a fun sled to ride! I have been a Polaris owner for 30 years and have bought 8 sleds I have never been disappointed but I feel that that going from a 2012 600 Switchback to this 2018 was a great jump up in ride and performance! Polaris keep up the great work! From a very satisfied customer! Thanks, Mike De Vries

Rated 4 out of 5 by from FIX THE SPARK PLUG ISSUE & THE HOT PIPE RPM FADE Great sled. Fouling spark plugs constantly gets old. Rpm fade after engine gets hot is absolutely ridiculous. The fuel mapping is way too rich and needs to be addressed. I am a life long Polaris rider but if Polaris can not fix these issues I’m switching brands.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Sled Owned To Date The 650 Launch 129" is the perfect tight trail, corner to corner, go getter for the trials I normally ride in Northern WI. Coming from an '18 800 SBA 144", the 650 feels as powerful down low as the 800 but lacks the long legs of the 800 which is to be expected. In the cockpit on cold mornings, it was easy to notice the upgraded wind deflection on the Matryx vs the Axys chassis. I personally have seen very little (if any) improvement in fuel efficiency vs the 800 SBA I previously owned. In all, I haven't been on a snowmobile this fun on the trails in Northern Wisconsin! The excitement and smiles last all day long no matter the trail conditions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sled The only thing I would say was a negative was hard seat. Made for tough day riding when doin high mile rides. There are issues as with all new sleds. Air bubble in supply line needs to be addresed. Steering is precise, but sled does dart more than I would like. Ended up using double runner ski to solve along with ski shim kit. Most notable concern was better setup options for shocks/springs as Matryx LE was soft in rear end with 225 lb rider. Having more options for alternate spring packages and published tuning specs to handle as opposed to trial and error would be nice. Motor is great and electronics were industry leaders. Message center gauge design is horrible and NOT user friendly at all. The guage has capability to be so much better for an entry level gauge package than what it is currently. Accessories for new model were good. Would like to see more storage options developed such as supplemental gas take or oil tank for those long boondocking rides. While color schemes were decent, a bit more would be nice along with some sort of graphics design to make sleds pop a bit as monochrome panels are bland.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect The 650 INDY XC Launch Edition was almost the perfect sled sled for. I absolutely loved the smooth power of the 650 engine and how hard the sled pulled on acceleration! Rider position was very comfortable and sled handled corners great! The only downside that I found is that the rear suspension was way too soft, the spring rate in the rear needs some attention from Polaris engineers! Due to the soft rear suspension on the 650, I sold the sled and I'm waiting on a new 2022 XCR 850. Unfortunately I had to jump to an 850 to get into the XCR chasis.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sled of the Year Snowtrax awarded it Sled of the Year, and it truly is. The electronics alone will set a standard that the other companies will have to copy to stay competitive. But it’s the ride that is winner here. The handling of this sled is amazing. It is noticeably better than my 2019 800 XC. Plus it’s “motorcycle “ feel makes it very comfortable to ride all day. I have nothing but smiles and confidence riding this. I will be upgrading from my 2019 next year!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best of the Best on snow. Polaris has definitely hit a grand slam with this sled. First, the 650 engine is without a doubt one of the best ever, for dependability, operation and technical advancement. Second, the 7s gauge is as functional as it is stylish. Third, the heated handlebars and seat function as advertised, everytime without fail. To bring home this point this snowmobile is the perfect balance of power, handling and tremendous looks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all around snowmobile I've driven this quite a few times. It's great for trail riding or even if you want to go off the trails. I haven't gotten stuck yet and I don't think I ever will. This has great power and is fast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Machine I bought this machine about a month ago and finally got to ride it last weekend Feb 8,9,10 & 11th 2018. It’s a great sled for a first timer/newer rider. I’ve ridin before but they were older machines. This is my first brand new one & I can’t complain. The only thing I’d say is get the side mirrors and the proper windshield for you. The windshield that came with it is short so the wind doesn’t flow over you, it hits you directly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fun ride I have owned new snowmobiles since 1967 I have owned them all Yamaha, skidoo, Cat, Deer,Redline , Polaris, my last ride was o8 skidoo 600 SDI MXZ but I have to say this 600 Indy is the most fun to ride to date. it is so light in the steering and percise right on at high speed lakes or slow speed trails. motor is so quick. out of the hole and on top end ,it owns a lot of 800cc sleds. it is just a great sled, I got this Indy 20th of Dec. and I now have 600 miles on it .I would have more but are snow is gone.this is the first Polaris I have owned since my 1991 400XC

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2017 Polaris Indy 600 ES 1000 mile review I purchased the 2017 in Jan 2017 as a backup sled to me 2016 Yamaha Viper Turbo. I have ridden this sled on avg 100 miles / day. Positives, gets same MPG as 2017 800 ETEC I ride with. Has consumed about 1 gallon of oil so far (seems good). Excellent traction considering the .91" track and 121" length. Great weight transfer and effortless steering (lite and holds line in corners well). Its nice to not have to put new skis or 8" carbides on a sled to make it handle. Motor sounds great, zero issues. saw 106 on speedo (road) pretty snappy to 90 mph. Ride quality isn't up to par IMO to other brands but for an entry level sled I more than pleased. Feels very light, handles great, float well. Virtually no belt dust....clutches are super clean. Dislikes: Handle bars (should have straight handle bars on it). Throttle level is large and it is not as ergonomic as other brands. Engages a bit high. Plastics (I have blue) scratch and scuff easily. No stock storage....purchased Polaris bag and it looks and works great. Purchased Polaris mirrors which integrate into the overall sled and work great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a great get on and go sled I purchased this along with two other Polaris machines for my family a couple of months ago (an Indy 550 fan and Rush 800 Pro-S). My teenage son rides this one and loves it. Hearing his accounts and having spent some time on it myself, I can attest to what a great trail sled this is. Electric start and liquid cooling make for a reliable, easy to start, powerful machine that is more than capable of any of the trail riding we could ever do. It is comfortable, light and flickable yet forgiving on hard pack, ice, fresh powder covered trails and so on. My only gripe is that its expensive to add the Polaris rear rack and cargo bag. I wish there was more included storage.

INDY SP 129

Performance and trail versatility

2022 600 INDY SP 129 is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 44.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from great handling machine One complaint is the windshield. Has any of the engineers ridden in below zero weather? If they did they would install the proper windshield. When you buy a new sled you shouldn’t have to purchase another windshield. The price is high enough without extra cost to upgrade the machine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mostly Positive Good riding sled with reliable engine. Same engine as in my 2012 600 switchback. The only big disappointment is Polaris is no longer providing a drain plug on the bottom of the chain case like they have in the past.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Takes time to set up, but is a fun sled. Was looking for a new sled to replace my 06 Yamaha Vector. Was looking for a trail sled that was lighter to my Vector. Have put 800+ miles on the sled. Has been a slow process getting comfortable with the sled. The ride is great. The handling is not there yet. The sled has a bad push going into turns, very unnerving. My next step is replacing the carbides. I like using gauntlets when I ride. When the gauntlets are on the sled the stock mirrors are almost useless.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very smooth and responsive I bought my sled a little over a year ago, but unfortunately with unseasonable winters it has barely over 10 miles on it. I'm also concerned about the amount of seizing motors from the 2019 model year...that really worries me when thinking about booking expensive riding trips to trail ride.I've read and follow the manual from cover to cover, like I do to all my polaris machines, hoping for a trouble free season.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great handling SC sled spring of 2018. Received sled in December of 2018 and put 600 plus miles on it. Sold it in Feb of 2019 to a private party as good used sleds were selling great due to good snow cover in MN. Picked up a profit of $1500 and put it toward a 2020 Cc 850 XCR.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome ride and power After a season of riding the 850 and my 2016 800 back to back some days the 850 shines in midrange power, fuel mileage when riding hard. Oil consumption is high but I,m ok with that. Last ride of season though found oil draining from bellypan , it’s booked to go to dealers, hoping only a clamp on oil line and no engine damage.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great chassis, smooth motor, horribly slow I snowchecked this machine as it is my 4th AXYS short track because I absolutely LOVE this chassis and suspension. I am a victim of first year engine woes, as I went through 5 engines in 2009-2010 in my 800 dragon. I did my research on this 850 and spoke with many people regarding the power and reliability and was confident in my decision that this 850 was going to be a rocket. I have always loved my 800’s the speed, the snap, the ability to roll good mph on top end, even getting 122mph out of my 2016. The 850 took the fun out of the AXYS chassis as it seemed from day one to be lazy and not hold rpm. I was told by my dealer that it was due to break in mode. After break in mode the condition persisted and I was told I needed to add weight to the primary which was a surprise to me as the sled already wouldn’t hold rpm. Basically I spent the entire season “trying” this and that, each trip without resolution. The short version of this situation is the dealer put a fuel pump in it after the season was over. I spent the whole year riding a sled that wouldn’t break 87 mph when my 800’s absolutely hauled the mail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sled I've had other Polaris Rush sleds but this one has the best suspension I've been on and the power is even better, awesome midrange especially.
Date published: 2019-04-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Polaris RUSH 850 is awesome!!! I’m beyond happy with this sled. It’s very fast and a wheelie machine. Especially with the 850 power plant. I put on 1700 miles on it this year and no issues. On the trail the suspension dialed in right is great, I don’t have a sore back anymore. If you are considering a RUSH buy it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect snowmachine for both work and play I love everything about this machine. It is not only a great workhorse around the camp and an awesome machine for ice fishing but it allows me to hang a leg off on the trail whenever the mood hits. The 550 is exceptionally peppy and you almost forget you didn't buy the 600 until you hit 40 mph. The only complaint I have is the lack of a front suspension sway bar witch was pictured in both the brochure and the website where I did most of my shopping.(still not happy about that). The front shocks that are light in there rebound capability's take away from what is a fantastic front end and really what makes this utility orientated snowmobile feel like its not a utility sled at all but rather a sport sled when you decide to take it on the trail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely Versatile I wish this sled had curved handlebars, and a lil better fuel mileage. I wish there was an option to blow the warm air from the cooling system either at the riders feet or up through the dash. It has good power/traction ratio, I don't dig a trench when in deep powder. I wish the rear tip of the skis were curved up a bit more, they catch and dig when in reverse in crusty snow conditions, and it snags me up in. Overall I'm very satisfied, its a good looking sport/utility. Most of my riding is ice fishing, trapping, exploring in the woods, coupled along with trail riding, it keeps up well in the trail, and I'm proud to park in the front of the restaurant when I go eat. My only major thing I don't like is the 10-12 MPG for a 550 fan. I wish there would also be an option to bring the warm air from the engine into rider area, my son gets very cold when riding with me and its hard to bring him out because he says he's cold.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value I recently returned from a weekend trip to put it through its paces. It performed great in deep snow. It floated when brought up to speed. I was never “really” stuck. Some bigger lugs might have been nice but it did well and I was grinning the whole time. The one issue was that after the first 200 miles, the display light stopped working and now I have to get that fixed. Higher handle bars would have been nice too.
