Rated 4 out of 5 by from Terrible lag and boggging This sled bogged out and lagged even on clean plugs. It needs a re map of the engine for sure. also your A arms are so soft my team went through 9. My skidoo buddies didn’t break one. You need to make them stronger. You also need a better key set up. It needs to be a tether key! You need a digital gas gage and not a manual one. You need a starter product that competes with the “shot” on skidoo! Use a mini turbo that fills from riding it or pulling it over. Use that pressure to run the starter. I really hope you take this serious. A lot of rider in Maine that love Polaris keep saying those are 1 priority for you to improve.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun snowmobile First snowmobile I snow checked and build exactly the way I wanted. I ordered a 155 chassis and removed the factory rear skid and track and replaced it with a 163 skid and track. (Hoping Polaris will pick up on this new trend) I also replaced the factory suspension with raptor kinetics. Then I added the Zollinger racer lite weight rotating mass kit and Kurt gear down. Then came the turbo. I chose the silber turbo for the price point and the reviews of how the kit ran with the new patriot engine. The axys chassis is proven and a world class starting point. I’d like to see Polaris set up the game and change the game with factory turbo and shorter chassis.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving the 850 I have a 2017 800 rmk axys... absolutely love it.. it’s been completely bomb proof and wouldn’t trade it for the world. Have 2000 miles on it and 1000 of those miles have been tuned. The thing is a monster.... however i acquired my 850 in October and haven’t been able to ride it very often yet.... however this thing is a beast. Aside from being the best snowmobile chassis in the game... It pulls so much harder than any other 2 stroke sled I’ve ever been on... real happy with my 2020 850 so far. Can’t wait to get it in the deep snow this coming weekend. Thanks Polaris for making the best snowmobile on the market. Keep doing what you guys do every year.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wish I had more time Unfortunately, was plagued with bad bog and decreasing performance on my first two rides of the season to point where I couldn't trust it in any climbing or deep powder situation without losing power and getting stuck. Dealer reflashed and switched primary weights (had high altitude weights for Michigan conditions). Got two abbreviated rides in after that and was certainly better but didn't get chance to push it and had a couple minor bogs on flat take offs. Runs good but doesn't have the arm stretching power I hear others describe. Wish I had more time and frankly, nervous going into next year with only 600 miles.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible I bought the new 850 Polaris rmk and I am very dissatisfied with the way I've been treated from Polaris, I had trouble from the get go .!! It was hard starting from day one and Polaris did nothing about it, I had brought it in to the dealership 4 times before they tore it down and found a burnt bearing and a seal in the crank case was out, finally had it rebuilt ! Than got back and 3 miles in to my trip the engine light went on and the water pump went out and they tore it down again ! Have only 3oo miles on it not happy with 3 trips out west and couldn't hardly ride it and Polaris won't do anything about it !

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Absolutely love the chassis ! Absolutely love how the sled handles and goes in the right trees in stuff . That being said you guys have to do some work to the motor. This sled bogs so bad that it often causes me to get stuck in the worse situations . So much that I almost jumped ship on the 850 and went back to an 800 . I don’t trust this motor with all of the failures that Have happened , I have seen multiple seized motors on some of my buddies sleds when the sled is not bogging and not running right it is a powerhouse and flat out rips! I have a video of the sled bogging for like 45 seconds it won’t let me attach it below .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wrecked my season. I just got a call yesterday that my sled is ready to be picked up from the dealership for the 3rd time this season. I lost the oil line to the water pump 3 times, and lost almost 2 months of the season. To have the same failure occur three times this season is not acceptable, and the amount of time it took to resolve the issue each time is hugely disappointing. I switched from arctic cat in 2014, and was really enjoyoing Polaris Industries until this year. At this point all I have is a sled I paid a lot of dollars for that I wasn't even able to use for two months of the season.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Chassis and power great. Quality not so much. I have owned many many snowmobiles of all types and brands. My ‘19 RMK 850, 155x2.6 rides awesome looks great and has good power. The fit and finish is not great. There have been a few bugs to work out. Loose ground by fuse block, pully on pull start fell off and jamed under quick drive belt damaging belt, ran super rich yet still had a an engine light come on for detonation code, faulty temp sensor, Loose electrical connector in harness, way harder on fuel then my 17 assault 800, stitching on seat has been fraying since day one, Compression on the engine it within factory specs but there is 10 psi difference side to side. Checked 4 times, once when it only had 50 miles and last a few days ago at 280 miles.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from My RMK experience I purchased two 2019 RMKS this year, 800 155 and 850 163. The 850 ran terribly rich on the east coast mountains tree riding in Quebec chic chocs until re program in feb. then the engine blew up first day on a 5 day trip 17 hrs from home...which forced me to buy the new 19 800 155 I love these sleds, however that was very disappointing...now the holes for the ski bolts are all ovaled and they keep spitting out my ski rubbers at the worst possible time. I hope I can get warranty on these from my dealer at Marshs Marina in waubaushene Ontario.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handles deep snow very well I purchased this sled because I was restricted as where I could ride with an older cross over sled that too often got stuck in deeper snow.It also climbs much better. On the narrow ski setting it is easy to pull over into a side hill but then it is less stable. As you increase ski stance it gets progressively harder to side hill and becomes more stable. The stock mono tube shocks were inadequate and were replaced with Raptor shocks, a 100% improvement. The rear grab bar broke,(plastic),and was replaced with an aluminum bar.The 800 motor is very strong,an 850 is not needed for my type of riding. The clutch works well and is easy to work on . Overall I like it quite a bit,it takes trail bumps very well for a mountain style sled, with the after market shocks.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Handling in the snow is awesome. I've owned 5 Polaris sleds since 2004. The first 4 I have rebuilt the motors , all were under 2000 miles. Previously I rode Yamaha never done a rebuild. My 2012 800 Pro RMK 155 which I still own . It has the fix kit in it , works good. Went back to Yamaha in 2014 , it's a 240 hp boosted sled. I have put 9600kms on it no engine problem to date. The 850 Pro Rmk has a good power to weight combination. That's why I snow checked it. Now 1 of my friends 850 Pro Rmk motor is gone. Now the rumor is the bearing is moving on the crank .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great handling sled, feels like riding a bmx bike Very happy with my 7th Polaris snowmobile purchase. The only issue was a faulty spark plug that literally fell apart at 190miles. The ceramic insulator detached from the body of the spark plug and dropped the electrode into the ground strap. This caused the PTO cylinder to fire intermittently and power to reduce to about zero. Also the engine temps were uncontrollable once the failure occurred. Unfortunately we were pretty deep in the Oregon backcountry with weaning light when this happened. Since the sun was setting and a blizzard was rolling in we chose to leave it and come back the next day. All in all not a big deal, but it could have been a lot worse if we were in a less accessible zone. Moral of the story is; carry spare plugs. Even if it’s a brand new sled.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice package I bought at the end of last season and just breaking it in. It has run well except at 80 miles the engine has run rough and it cools down to 100 degrees or so when riding. I have to put my scrapers up to keep it running in the range of temperature (125) And then it goes over 125. I have it scheduled for warrant service but I am totally confused why it would run cooler when I at normal speeds. Engine light went on and off as I was limping back to my trailer. Not good and disappointing with a brand new sled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best out of the crate performance This is the 2nd year in a row that I have purchased a Pro 850 and the performance is second to none. Straight out of the crate from the dealership there have been no issues or concerns in the first 350 miles.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great when it starts This is my 7th snow check New mountain sled 155” . The 850 rips when it starts and the 3” track I’ve been riding now for 3 seasons and is amazing compared to the 2.6. The 850 left me in the lot not starting 5x this winter and was in the shop for probly 30 days total missing out of those days riding. Thank gosh I can afford 2. When it did not start I would ride the wifeys 18’ Pro 800, good ol’ reliable , starts every time ! Kinda bummed about the 850 , love the stance of it and Definetly little more power than the 800, but not starting issue hmmm . Guess they put new injectors in and seemed to help. Would be nice to be compensated for my down time seeing how I spent a lot on a new sled , cuz I will buy another Polaris for sure . Hopefully, u guys get it all figured out with the new line of sleds.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not quite sure???? My 2017 RMK 800 163 was excellent, no major issues, so this sled has a tough act to follow. Handling is excellent, however I have not been happy with run quality. This sled fouls plugs a lot. It burps and hesitates, and does not give me much confidence My 2 riding partners have both had to rebuild their 2019’s so I am concerned all issues have not been addressed?? Time will tell if this was a good purchase, but at the current time I think I should have bought the 800.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best mountain sled My first polaris sled, (pro rmk 850 155 2020) I’ve alway ride arctic cat sled before and now i’m really happy with the pro rmk, Climb realy good, the sled always want tomgo on top of the snow, side hill easy, its unstoppable but the sled have a few downside, fool a lot of plug And the track (2.6) is weak like very weak , my old arctic cat track was a lot more strobger than this one and I’ve never fool a plug eith arctic cat. Beside that, I’m really happy

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Gave me problems all year It had a bogging problem And my lugs for my truck I lost over six of them. It was back to the dealer every week cylinder on the PTO side is washed out they tried to change everything but the block but it still does not run right it has been the worst experience I’ve had and I hope Polaris finally gets her act together and gives me a new sled I am truly unhappy with Polaris his service I have Rod Polaris for last 10 years and I think this will be my last

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unreal Power for a stock sled Insane power for a stock sled. Incredible in the deep powder. It’s really hard to get it stuck, it just keeps eating and eating and eating. Extremely agile and handles amazing with the react front end. Hangs in the steepest of sidehills like it’s on a razor blade. You have to push these things in extreme terrain and snow conditions to get them stuck. Couldn’t be happier. Amazing rider, R&D and engineering team to produce this kind of beast!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great power! Great Machine! I am early in my break in period but have a few things I can give feedback on. The sled rips but: 1.) It’s top heavy. It’s light but top heavy. 2.) The attention to details like snow intrusion in motor/clutch/quick drive area is lacking. Deep light snow gathers and if I wasn’t thawing out every night it would cause problems. Silicon has solved most, but not all snow from coming in. 3.)In General it is a really good machine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Where my free belt? Picked up the sled the weekend before Black Friday. My dealer said Polaris doesn’t do deals on free belts. 2 days later advertisement for a free belt came out with brapp Friday. Called up my dealer to see if I could get the deal. Polaris never responded to my dealer... pretty lame. I guess no free belt or gallon of gas because I picked up my sled 6 days early. Also that rear bumper on the RMK Pros sucks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Yooper riding The ability for the RMK to get up on top of the snow is incredible. Color and assessors options during snow check really make the sled my own. Production quality is not on par with today’s standards; but thanks for the spare oil cap, and creative routing of the throttle cable which made the sled always on the ‘go’ (throttle cable was touted incorrectly which made it stick in sharp right hand turns).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very user-friendly and reliable. My previous sled was a 2003 RMK 800. Finally upgraded to the 2019 RMK 800. 100 pounds lighter. Much more nimble. Absolutely nothing you have to add beyond what is on there as OEM. Perfect right out of the box. Other than the Burandt tunnel bag, I haven’t added a thing. Very good fit and finish. Love the AXYS design and the new turn knobs to remove the side panels. Sled rolls side to side like a dream.

PRO-RMK® 163

The world's best mountain sled.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Multiple breakdowns and ruined trips I have had multiple problems with the reliability of my machine. Have had a horrible bog that still isn’t fixed. I’ve had two trips which my sled has had check engine lights that resulted in the sled shutting off and having to pushed into the trailer because it wouldn’t run. The bag I bought has two broken buckles and two broken tunnel attachments. I buy new machines along with my friends to not have reliability issues especially in the backcountry where we ride and everyone that took the bait on the new 850 has had issues, whether complete engine failure, poor running engines or unreliable failures.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Focus more on reliability than lightweight. Lightweight is important in a mountain sled, but Polaris has taken it a bit too far as lightweight is now bordering on flimsy. The rear 1/3 of the running boards still hold too much snow and ice. I am coming from the Pro RMK chassis, and the Axys just doesn't seem to get up on the snow as well. There is also is way too much vibration coming from the track(tension and alignment adjusted). Only 350 miles on sled and it doesn't want to go into reverse, won't rev up and backfires. Manufacturing quality and reliability should always be the first priority before weight savings or any other advancement!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Jury is still out My third Snow Checked new sled doesn't disappoint.....much I've broken it in per the manual and it runs and handles amazing, most of the time. It's experiencing a random stall that happens at the most inopportune moments, typically after a big climb or slamming on the brakes. Sled only has about 90 miles on it. Checked all the wiring and going to confirm the belt deflection next ride. If that doesn't work, it's going back to the dealer. I'm aware that I'm not the only rider in the area experiencing this on the new 2020 850 so I hope they figure it out quick, because the sled is amazing when it's not stalling randomly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ski Lifting Fun Sled has been a blast I have 415 miles on it now and after getting my suspension set it has worked great. So much fun jumping around in the snow and this thing climbs great. The 850 motor was a needed bump to remain competitive but honestly would have still bought this sled with the react front wnd and an 800 motor. Coming off a 2012 Pro Rmk 163 that had 9000 kilometers on it this is a major upgrade and I couldn't be happier. I would prefer if polaris integrated a magnetic teather like srticat or a key system like ski doo. I dont like that the sled comes with no teather and I dont like the OEM teather as I find on my last sled it would get iced up and not work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Deep powder monster! The new Patriot engine has ran exceptionally well over the last two seasons. There was some bogging issues at first, but the Polaris re-flash seems so have eliminated that problem. My only issues so far are the same problems that existed on my previous 2015 800 RMK which have carried over into the new model such as; the ability of the throttle lever to maintain a tight contact with the handle bar, weak A-arms that seem to bend if you hit anything as small as a stick, and the terrible scratchers. But aside from those issues, the sled sherds snow like nothing else and it’s response to steering and carving is insane!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great machine, but lacks adjustability. I purchased this machine as a snow check last year. The sled runs great and has given me no trouble as of yet. However reports of the 850 engine having reliability issues have me very worried that I might be left stranded out on the trail with a blown motor. Regardless the sled has great power, and great ergonomics. It is a very planted and flat running sled which is good in some conditions but poor in other conditions. I would like to have more adjustability in the rear suspension to be able to get the sled to pop up the front end a little more when necessary. If Polaris can come up with a way to make the sled very adjustable for rider preferences they would have the ultimate package.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2019 Pro RMK 850 I purchased my pro a little over a year ago I’ve put just short of 900 miles on it haven’t had any issues yet, stability is awesome in the front end while side hilling and boondocking. Polaris has surpassed my expectations with the patriot motor. I’ve let a few friends ride it and they were so impressed that one has purchased one and the other is snow checking next season. Power is almost endless it’s been a long tome since a sled off the shelf has given me butterflies in my gut, this one definitely does. I look forward to riding more this year then last jeep up the great work Polaris!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Such a fun sled!! I got the chance to snowcheck an 850 Pro RMK 3" last season and i gotta say i dont regret it one bit!! This sled has been an absolute animal and every mountain and tree line i have tackled with ease, it is seriously the most fun ive ever had on a sled! The power delivery is smooth and easy to manage but at the same time pulls like a freight train! The chassis mixed with the engine is seriously a force to be reckoned with. Simply put, WAY TO MUCH FUN!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Best sled I've ever rode...when it works I'd give it five stars for when it runs good. Best handling sled I've ever rode, predictable, and smooth. I did things day 1 on it I had been trying to do for yrs on my skidoo. But it's also been had electrical problems since the begining..sensors for speed and odometer, some clutching (not big issues) but after about 400 mi. It started a bog. Sadly had to go back to skidoo for the end of the season but hopefully it's up and running next yr

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Ride 2019 snow check. Dealer experience was awesome. Had the sled set up for local conditions, they added a few surprises. I even ordered an option as I picked it up and they installed it right there. I have 900 miles on it with no problems. So much smoother than my 2013 RMK. Awesome handling, great looks. I am a big guy, 6'8", 280lbs. and this ride has never left me wanting any more power. Gets me everywhere I need to go and probably places I shouldn't go. Have read of problems with the 2019 engine, but I have not had any. And with a four year warranty, not too worried! Had a friend ride it last year and he went out and upgraded from his 2013 to the same model he was so impressed. But he did not get the snow check extras....haha.....

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 5o% of the time it works every time Snow check every year. This thing is a possibility the worst sled I've ever owned. And I've owned a lot. Polaris need to put a little bit of reliability back into these 15k piles of aluminum.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good machine I bought this machine really excited for the new motor and I had never rode an Axys chassis. I was really surprised by the handling and acceleration as it was excellent. I went through sparks plugs like crazy during break-in though and it wasn't just a pull and go start up either. No issues like that after it was fully broke in so that was nice. I need to put some more miles on it to fully speak to the overall reliability. I'd recommend this machine to anyone looking for that next level backcountry sledding experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent handling I had a 2016 Axys that I had totaled and I had decided to purchase another Polaris after trying a Ski Doo and Arctic Cat. For the steep technical riding that I do the Polaris out performed the other brands. The only change on this one was the 3" track I have been extremely happy with it's performance, we ride heavy treed areas in extremely steep terrain, the 3" inch track lets you get away with ridding slower and being able to get out of trouble. The track has done a great job in the wet spring snow we usually quite ridding at the end of May. I have been ridding in the Pacific Northwest Mountain range for 41 years and this Machine is the best that I have ever had. I would suggest this machine to anyone who rides the back county you will not be disappointed!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Drive shaft broke with less tha 200 miles As a loyal Polaris customer I am very dissatisfied with my most recent purchase. The drive shaft broke on this sled with less than 200 miles. I will also have to wait more than a month to get my sled back. This is very disappointing due to the fact that the sledding season is so short. I clearly purchased a lemon.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the sled but lots of problems with the 850 Got the sled from snow check and there was bogging from the 850 patriot from the beginning. Finally got sorted out at mid season with the new motor calibration (Reflash). Next my oil line got disconnected at the check valve and the slab needed to be repaired and opened. This took two weeks at my dealer. For the last rides it ran great... couldn’t say it was a perfect year... On a positive note coming from a BRP 850 summit, I preferred the ergonomics, the general riding feel and precision of the pro RMK

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Scare Bear (19 Axys 850) I am constantly blown away every year by the small improvements made to the Axys. I have been honoured to play a small part in the Polaris family for the last four years and every years sled has always been the best sled I have ever ridden. This year the big changes were the 850 motor and the new react front end. The power and nimbleness of this sled is nothing short of amazing. This sled stock felt like riding a mod sled. There is no comparison in my mind to not only the previous 800 but all other sleds from the other OEM’s. I can’t wait to change it up with the new Khaos next year! Thru this season I was able to get a little over 100 riders to test the new Patriot 850 and other than two very biased riders everyone raved about it and several have snow checked for the fall!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bogging issues Ran good first 100 miles then started bogging, brought it in to the dealer they didn’t want to help me. Said it was the new flash they put on to help it. It didn’t help it. Bogged up all the shown melted with no explanation. The chassis a good chassis effortlessly handle it in the trees, but when the powers not there because of bogging issues you might as well be riding a Elan, I Would of bought the BRP 850 if I new this was going to happen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect mountain sled I've had this sled for a little over a year now and I'm very impressed. The sled does everything I want to do and more. My only complaint is where the switches are for the hand warmers, mode button , and the head lights. They are kinda a pain to switch while you're riding just cuz they are so far away from the handle bar. Also I think the sled needs scratchers that you can reverse with from the factory. I've busted mine more then a few times. Other then those small issues I couldnt ask for a better sled.

PRO-RMK® 174
Starting at $15,699 CA MSRP

The ultimate mountain sled.

2020 800 PRO-RMK® 174 is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The 174 is the ONLY WAY OUT!!! I have ridden the 2020 174 in deep snow. I have had it in icy snow. I have chased snow. The 174 is amazing to boondock around you can maneuver around the trees with finesse not speed. Its 100% legit for the Steep and deep but its does a lot more well. Love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Experience ! Snowchecked this sled, and received in November. Unfortunately only rode 1000 miles this season, but was very happy with the sled. Great handling & power. Only had one minor problem with an exhaust valve relay. I have Snowchecked a 2020.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality I had a little over 300 miles on my new 850 and had to bring it in for the dealer to pull the engine out if it wasn’t for the quality of work and the excellent staff I would have went to the nearest Ski Doo dealer and bought a new sled.

SKS 155
Starting at $15,199 CA MSRP

The most versatile deep snow crossover.

2020 800 SKS 155 is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 91.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from magical mountain sled With the amazing agility of the AXYS chassis and the great power-to-weight ratio, this sled makes me look great. Playing in the tree-studded mountain slopes is awesome, with the ability to "crawl" through tight spots and blast up and over ledges. Carving like no other. I like the extra cooler on the access trails.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 100% purchase. Snow check is the way to go. Everything you could ever want and more. The best machine on the market. If any of you are doubting this machine on its trailing capabilities, don’t. I trail ride this machine 100km+ every ride. It’s a dream and a beast in the deep snow.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very light and nimble in the back country Had issue with speed sensor when it was brand new. Didn't work for an entire day. So didn't read miles for a day. Took it out west. Seemed like every now and then when you would get on the throttle hard it would bog out and sounded wierd. Let off and get back in it and it would be fine. It has tons off power and is very easy to play in the back country with

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Aewsome I’m very happy to buy a sks but the only deception is the seat .. I thinking if y bought a sled hybrid the seat would be more confortable. For the rest i have nothing to say

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent all around sled I bought my 2017 sks from Jackson sports in Jackson Mn. When I saw this sled last year I told myself I had to have it. So I snowchecked it for 17'. I live in northwest Iowa and usually take 3-4 trips a year to the Snowys, Black Hills, Big Horns, somewhere in Colorado, and occasionally a trip to Wisconsin or Minnesota. Being that I like mountain riding the best, I focus my sled more towards mountain riding. Being that I ride rough ditches here at home, trail ride if I'm in Wisconsin, ride a little bit of everything in the black hills, and try and tackle the trickiest terrain in the mountains, the sks does them all every well. With the extra heat exchanger I never have to worry about getting hot. With the extra boggy wheels I don't have to worry about my slides. I believe more midwesterns should look more towards buying the sks because it does everything well and you don't have to worry about anything! I rode 200+ miles in two days of strictly trails in the Black hill that were hard pack Smooth and not much snow, and my temp never got over 128. I rode the snowys this year in a couple feet of fresh pow with 153", 155", and 163" 3" track and still was king dog. (Rider experience is high).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from POLARIS SKS 2017 New purchase and mostly happy. Compare to BRP is hard to side hill and control in narrow space
Date published: 2017-02-15
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Subpar Durability Nice off trail handling. Suspension really not that good coming from the Freeride/KYB setup. Rear rails slightly bent. Never rode this sled on dirt or hit anything. Warrantee denied. Rear shock completely blown out(no fluid). Until I tear it apart I won't see what the issue is. Rear snow flap broke and fell off. Poor design. Saw others with same problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor craftsmanship Q/C and assembly At 30 miles, the chain case started to skip and ratchet. Very disappointed, now sled is in the shop and cutting into my allready short riding season. Not to mention all my riding partners harassing me for not buying an Arctic Cat. Is Polaris going to do anything to restore my faith in their brand?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2016 sks Awesome fun to ride. Love shredding powder no matter if your new at riding or not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SKS 800 This sled has helped me to become a better rider. Very flickable!!!
Date published: 2017-02-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great chassis and drivetrain Super smooth clutching, gets up on the snow great after I adjusted the suspension, 800 engine is a solid runner especially after break in. Love the extra cooling capabilities of the SKS. I came off of a Cat proclimb and this chassis make everything feel easier when in the deep snow. Plus Polaris has a great ski and front suspension.
Date published: 2020-01-15
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the handling Love the engineering of this chassis and the power it has. The one and only downfall is how weak the a-arms and spindles are for the price. Polaris would be smart to make it stock with trenchers or something similar, only for the sks and rmk chassis 155” and up.
Date published: 2020-01-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Go anywhere do anything! I bought this as my second ride into the big world of backcountry riding and the ride is amazing! The comfort and control from the engine to the chassis is awesome! It literally makes your confidence sore. So easy to ride it's like cheating!
Date published: 2017-02-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! I’ve only put on 300 miles so far but I absolutely love this sled! Incredible power! I’m a big guy 350lbs and I have yet to bottom out! Tons of suspension! Longer track handles the bumps like a dream! No complaints at all so far!
Date published: 2020-01-15
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Chassis Love the ride and handling. Only had a few minor issues but we do keep spare a-arms and relays on hand. Probably going to need a slight power increase and better electrical harness to stay on top. I would buy again.
Date published: 2018-02-12
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Sled plenty of power I've owned 800s before but this sled blows them out of the water. It handles great and is so light. I have yet to get it stuck and I'm the type of person that tries to put there sled through the worst conditions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great preformance I Snow checked SKS last Spring and I love the sled. It is a Mountain sled for a flat lander. With the extra cooler, it never heats up in marginal snow and is a joy to ride when you get to the deep stuff.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Road it 400 miles had motor problems Had motor problems from day one, Polaris never did come up with a fix and I gave the snowmobile back to Polaris. I snow checked a new assault 144” 850 hopefully I don’t have the same problems.

The tough-as-nails backcountry original for extreme conditions.

2019 800 RMK® Assault® 155 is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 28.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Sled Made I have been riding an RMK for years and at the dealers suggestion i snow checked a new assault last year. It was great advice the sled is amazing and I could not be more excited and happy with the machine. The new chassis is not an extreme change but just a little better in every way and for me that's perfect. I love that Polaris made some needed upgrades without recreating the wheel.
Date published: 2017-02-15
Rated 4 out of 5 by from It bogs here and there usually on groomed trail Sometimes it bogs quite frequently on groomed trail, it will be almost 8000rpm's then bogs out to 6200 jolting you. Also I've noticed all the bushings on a-arms are not up to par allowing play in all of the a-arms. And the ski rubbers DO NOT last at all , im already on my 5th one, this is my 5th Assault. Other than that I love it, the 3" paddles fn rip. I ride 2-3,000 miles a season .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 18 Polaris rmk assault 800 Bought a couple months ago only got 90 miles on it but this thing is a beast. Last sled I owed was a 2002 rmk 800 so a bit of a change. This thing floats great handles easy and a lot of power for North Dakota. I can’t wait until next year to take it to the mts and see what it will do in deep snow. But so far I’m in love the sled highly recommend this or a pro rmk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my riding style! I really like this powder version of the Assault. I’ve had no problems getting around in chest deep powder in the northern Montana Rockies. I’m all about big jumps and big drops and this sled does it all “ like a Boss”. I’ve owned previous generation Assaults and this one is the best for me so far.
Date published: 2018-02-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best sled on the market! The set up and information from the dealer could have been better, although they were friendly, there were a few issues with initial setup. After the sled was properly setup, it has been running flawless and couldn’t be happier with the performance!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good sled, gauge sucks PIDD is nothing but problems. Taking it out is even bigger pain. Molded in m6 nuts just strip the plastic. That’s my only complaint, besides it needing more power

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light weight ,lots of power and easy to handle Snow checked it last spring and have been very impressed with it
Date published: 2016-09-19
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Shelf Performance. I bought this sled fall of 2017 and until then the newest sled I owned was an 02 RMK, heavy, built like a boat and tough enough to take a beating but carbed and loved to foul plugs just as much as I liked to ride. First ride on this sled was an adjustment for sure, the axys chassis allowed for more control, she laid over and carved and wove through the trees with more ease then my grandma sewing a quilt. The climbing power the throttle response and the comfortability of this sled was all a major upgrade. Only weak spots I’ve found on these sleds is all simply rider error, the A-arms and the tunnel are not designed for tree bashing or hard flops so recommend an aftermarket bumper for tunnel support and better goggles to see what’s in front of your skis. But these sleds seriously take a good day of riding and make it a great day, they open so many doors you couldn’t attempt on a heavier sled and there is enough power to keep your tips up for making it up and over a bump in the snow without taking it to the belly pan. I loved this sled so much it made me curious what Polaris had brewing in the back so now that the 2020 is on its way out with an 850 in a snowcheck model I ordered on up with a 163 to see what the next era holds. If you get one of these sleds it will be everything but disappointing. The power to weight is unmatched and the fun and smiles it brings could not be traded for anything else in this world.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great performance Love this snowmachine! Very impressed with the performance of the unit! Only disappointment is my track got changed out without my consent... I was really exited to have the 146X2.25 peak! Unfortanelty that got changed at factory. Also A arms and spindles pretty week...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect U.P. sled!! I'm coming into the end of the first season with the SKS 146, and i have to say...I LOVE IT! One of the most fun sleds I've ridden. Super playful off trail and still handles the trail well. If your looking to hit the powder & powerlines...you'll love this sled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultimate deep snow flatlander sled. I love this sled! Perfect sled for my ride type. Alberta flatlander riding 80% off trail and 20% on. Dual heat exchangers keep the sled running cool all the time even on trail or lake runs. Excellent deep snow capability with on trail stability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beyond what I expected. I snow checked this last April and the intent was to have a machine for our extreme conditions. I opted for the heated seat, tow hitch, high windshield, full flotation skid plate. I have yet to see it overheat even with our scant early season conditions. I intend to use it all around even to set crab pots under the frozen bering sea. The only thing I didn't include was electric start and that can be added. I also considered the interactive screen but decided not to get it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great offtail, somewhat good on off trail. The SKS' skis lift like crazy, fun sled to ride, plows through the snow I ride in (2.5ft ish). Trail handling is pretty bad but the ride is good enough and I don't really care about trail performance. I'm a small guy (120, 5'8) and I had some difficulty getting the sled on the side, wheeling, and all that fun stuff. I need to make some different adjustments to the suspension and limiter strap. Great in the backcountry but don't expect much for on trail handling.
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad have over 1000 miles and expected more from Polaris and this sled. Cons: Overall the fit and finish is ok at best, panels and decals seem off and things seem to loosen up as the sled gets hot. The handwarmers are extremely inconsistent. I should NEVER have to use the throttle let alone hold the throttle wide open to start a sled. The gas tank is too wide, my knees constantly hurt from hitting the tank and seat. Almost impossible to fuel up, I can nurse the pump and add over a gallon more by waiting for the tank to settle little by little, if I do not my dash only reads 85-90% fuel. Seems to drink lots of oil, never slowed down after break in. In 1100 miles it has used over 3 gallons. Pros: Has good power. Very responsive on throttle. Very "snappy" Extremely easy to handle on and off trail. Everyone loves my founders edition.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Decent sled Bought 800 sks before this winter, I hate a lot of fun with but had some issues. The overall quality was only ok, after first trip my ski loops have gotten so lose they rattle, I had clutching issues and needed work done before I even had 500 miles. The power of this sled is so so, and the form n fit is also only ok. I did have a lot of fun off trail with this sled when things ran well, it also handled the trail well. I may go back to ski doo

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great overall sled - would like stiffer ride Overall really happy with this sled. If I could have changed 1 thing, it would be to have stiffer suspension that could handle some of the bigger bumps/little jumps that you encounter when play riding. In my opinion, the Assault 144 could stay softer for those customers that want better trail handling, but make the SKS 146 a little bit stiffer for more active riders in the mid-west who are trying to emulate mountain riding, but don't have the deep/soft snow so you end up bottoming out the suspension too easily. One other thing that would be nice, would be to have better holes in the footwells for snow excavation, they really get packed full easily and makes tough to place your feet where you want them. Otherwise couldn't be happier with the sled, the narrower front end of the SKS was a perfect upgrade for me from the Assault chassis...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome sled to ride. Smiles all day I snowchecked this snowmobile after not having a sled to 5 years and I'm glad I went with the SKS 146. I had a 2013 switchback assault that I absolutely loved but this SKS blows it out of the water. Granted this is a different chassis, the narrow front end makes this unbelievably fun to ride. Carves in the powder like a hot knife through butter and can still attack the trails. Best sled ever!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all around sled great power handling I bought this sled late December 2017 have loved every minute of riding it, snappy power fun and easy to maneuver and stands on its back bumper with ease. Only issue I’ve had is the clutch adjuster nut has come loose and backed its self off a few times now which makes the shims close tighter and grab the belt when your not on the throttle only issue so far 500 miles on it and Cloé it

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fun but will it last? I’ve been riding Yamaha for over 10 years and decided to try something different. The positives, ride quality, light, overall fun sled! The negatives, engine rebuilt at 900 miles, but luckily so has a great dealer and Polaris offered an extra year and $500 in accessories. Also tends to burn a lot of oil and the PIDD is worthless, had to go back to my Garmin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent sled for New England! When I bought the sled last year I went in with confidence after coming off of my 2011 assault with a 146 with a 2.5. And all I can say is wow the switch from a pro ride to an Axys was amazing the only thing I wish the sks had was the 2.5 extreme I had on my assault! All I did was add a z bro’s bumper and spindles and I can’t wait to ride this year!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sled I bought the SKS at the start of the season last year and had a great winter riding. I was a little concerned about the size of the tract because I do a lot of trail riding but never had an issue. Also when I had the chance to play in the deep snow I was not disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not that great I bought this machine 3 months ago and have barely ridden it as it has spent more time in the shop trying to fix issues with it. I am sure it is an excellent machine if we could be able to ride it without breaking down within 20 minutes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from An absolute blast to ride! I snow checked my 2019 Switchback Assault 850 after loving my 2017 800 Switchback Assault. Overall I love the machine. As with my 2017, the hand warmers never worked very well. I had a front shock fail due to an assembly issue. The reflash the dealer did needs more work. Since the reflash, no matter how good the non ethanol fuel is it has detonation knock even in non premium/ethanol mode in the mid range. That said, I have almost 3,000 miles on the machine and have enjoyed every mile. One set of plugs replaced at 500 miles and the original belt is still on the machine! Hoping to get the issues with the machine ironed out before next season.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Underwhelmed but rides great... I really like how the sled rides but it is really delicate. I must have picked a rock up on the trail and it hit the heat exchanger, which required the whole tunnel and engine cradle to be replaced. This repair was more than a third of the initial value of the sled. Seems like you should be able to replace the heat exchanger and the heat exchanger lines that run down the tunnel. After it was fixed I rode it home and put it outside for the night. The other 10 sleds we had in our group started right up but not my Assault. I could ride Sunday with everyone else and I had to take it to the dealer. After 3 sets of plugs and 4 hours, we got it started.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Endless power and unbelievable handling - Bought 2 Purchased 2 on snowcheck- to add to the fleet my wife and I kept our 2015, 2016 ProS 800's thinking that they would be the trail sleds- we were pleasantly surprised that the new Assault Axys 144's trail like the Pro S's- which have become back up loaner sleds! I have a 2014 Assault 144 2" which my wife would not ride, this is not the case on the 2017 she loves it as much as her Pro S 800 actually she likes it MORE! Took the family to West Yellowstone and my daughter road the 2017 Assault 144 2" and has decided to sell her turbo Viper! In the mountains on and off trail I was never let down plenty of power and track for my style of riding went almost everywhere the 155's went!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Switchback Assault Hands down the best sled I’ve ever owned! I have been a loyal Polaris snowmobile owner and rider for over 40 years. With out a doubt, the Switchback Assault 144 is the best all around sled I have ever ridden....period! This machine rips the trails and provides comfort for all day riding. I ride trails the majority of the time and can proclaim with confidence that the 144” track is the way to go. The 1.6” Cobra track hooks up like no other track I’ve owned, and the track length bridges the chatter bumps beyond belief. Literally as fast as you want to go...this sled will take it all. An awesome sled for an all day on the trail experience. Wow!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Problem Sled, 2020 850 Assault Second day on trail the temp. sensor went on it. Third day was spent at Polaris Dealer trying to get Temp. Sensor alarms to go away. Dealer put 2 more temp .sensors it sled. Fourth day alarm came back. Now I have foam in my coolant tank, remove cap and I have consist air bubbles coming into coolant tank. Coolant also smells like combustion/ exhaust. Front coils on front shocks are chaffing onto shock body. Had a 2016 800 Switchback which was a problem sled. Dealer gave me a Demo, 2018 800 Assault, loved it enough to give Polaris another try. Spring Breaked a 2020 850 Assault .BOY DID I MAKE A BIG MISTAKE. The 2018 800 Assault Demo that I had would SPACK my NEW 2020 850 Assault.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hands down the best do anything sled you can buy. Coming from a 2015 Switchback Assault, the 2017 Axys is by far and away an all-around better machine in every way. On trail even with the 2inch track option this snowmobile handles amazingly well it's only a few ticks behind a Axys Rush coming in and out of the corners, however in the 20+ miles of rutted up woops the Assault's rear skid bridges and skims over them much better than the Axys Rush demo I rode on the same bad section of trail. Trails are where the Pro Ride Assaults suffered and when the Axys was announced I Spring ordered it immediately without question. On the other end I'm in no way an experienced mountain or off trail rider but venturing into the deep stuff I'm able to get to places I would dare in the past. This machine just comes up on top of the snow effortlessly. Every single negative I had with my 2015 Assault has been addressed with this machine. I plan to have this sled for a very long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The amazing assault I aboulutly love the sled. I got two inch paddles. The sled is so amazing I convinced my father and two friends to get one. The second they road it they had decided to get one. The. Wet next day they were heading to the dealership. Griffins motorsports! I love the futures on the sled. I love the power and at any point I can hang he skis for feet! I am amazing with the proformance and how comfortable it is on the trail and in the deep snow. Great job! I live in upstate New York and put 1700 maines on the sled between local rides, tug hill, and Maine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from “Solid off trail sled” I would say after 1100 miles on my machine this season I’m ehhh, up in the air about my purchase. I wasn’t happy with destroying the entire rear skid 500 miles into the season. I broke a rear torque arm and destroyed both the rear shock and front track shock. My sled was out of commission for a few weeks, dealer said they’ve never seen anything like it. I’ve attached a photo of the front track shock. If Polaris wants to keep my business for the 2021 season, they better step their suspension game up. I’m glad everything was covered under warranty. I’m an aggressive rider but I’m not a racer by any means. I spent considerable money on a sled and within a month it’s in the shop for repairs already.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Amazing sled, poor execution I am not a brand loyal guy. I was on a Ski Doo prior to this for 4 years. I was on a renegade x 800 and I saw this assault as being the perfect cross over sled. Polaris doesnt match the fit and finish of a Ski Doo. I bought this for the fun factor and rider position/ergonomics. This is where Polaris hands it to Ski Doo. This issues with this sled is the poor execution of a first year motor. There is a constant bog/hesitation around 6100 RPM. Also it struggles to start when got and sometimes backfires when going from heavy throttle to quick stop. The PIDD is terrible compared to the ski doo & Garmin partnership. Allow us to upload our massive trail GPS database!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First 850 Switchback Assault Experience I'm 800km in. The 850 Patriot has unbelievable pull throughout the power band. Even in deep wet snow, it never hesitated. The front end suspension eats up any bumps with ease. Very limited off-trail deep snow exposure yet, but so far it looks like I won't need my shovel too often this year! I'm still working on the rear suspension, but it is definitely harsher than the R-Motion rear end I was used to, especially on bumpy trails. Stock and aftermarket storage is perfect for short or long trips. I didn't get the Nav but I understand id is pretty slow and doesn't include all of the trails, especially in Quebec.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hammer down! I had a 2019 skidoo 850 renegade .. I did not like the handling - front end made you nervous ( ski lift ) I bought 2020 Polaris assault 800 switch back assault 144 - it puts a smile on my fave every time I go ride it! I do long trips 300 miles a day average. Couple things that I didn’t like was throttle was too heavy to push with thumb - needed to back spring off on throttle body.. Little too much vibration from motor to chassis - bought iso vibe to help isolate it.. the gas tank sticks out a little too much too wide - when standing my legs gets sore on edge of gas tank.. but overall Polaris did a very good job!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not a bad sled Spring check model and the first Polaris I ever rode or even rode with. Engine and clutching is very smooth and well balanced. I like the 144 for cross over reasons but the valving is way to stiff. Also my biggest gripe is the seat is too wide. But all in all its a decent sled, but still not sure if it's one I want to keep.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Assault 600 I've owned it for a year now. Was a great machine. Ran into an electrical issue on my last trip. Had two different shops look at it and tempted to fix it. Found out spark plugs the first dealer put in are the wrong ones. Causing it to bog, erratic spark and shut down multiple times in the back country of u.p. Michigan. Brought it home after putting correct plugs in. Ran ok but didn't seem to have the power it use to have. Compression mag side 117, PTO side 125. So far in my eyes it's a matter of time till it blows. No mods are done to the sled. Just clutching. Sled currently has 700 miles. Not sure what I plan Todo with it. Might consider getting rid of it. Purchased brand new

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun sled 2017 assault 800, fun sled lots of power and easy to ride for a tall guy like myself. Was comfortable most the time. Only issue I have is I missed out on 4 days of riding in northern ontario because my sled blew a plug clean out of the motor head. Left side. And a few other 2017 assaults 800 that my friends own did the same. We got an excuse from the dealer that it wouldn't be warrantied. Wasnt happy about that and had to settle for their fix instead of a new warrantied head.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Fun Factor It took a while for my new 850 Assault to arrive, but once it did, I really enjoyed it. I was coming off a couple of different 4 strokes, the difference was night and day. So much lighter, and much more fun to drive. I was a bit worried going to a 2 stroke, but I never had an issue all year with over 5000kms, which I couldn’t even say about my 4 strokes. I had to break trail one day for over 100 miles, had a blast, my buddy following me got stuck 3 times, I had no issues in the almost 2’ of fresh powder. I hate to store it for the summer, I wanted to go out at least once more. I can’t wait to get back on it next winter. If I were to order a new sled for next year, it would be the exact same sled.

Switchback® PRO-S
Starting at $13,699 CA MSRP

The smoothest ride and handling.

2020 600 Switchback® PRO-S is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 250.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wheels I bought a 2016 Snow Check. Overall it is a good sled. I am disappointed with the wheels in the track. I had to replace 2 of them after about 400 miles, because big pieces of rubber broke off. I was told it was because of trail conditions, even though I rode with 5 other older sleds and they did not have any issues. I have a friend that bought the same sled and he also had issues with the wheels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice handeling, light weight trail sled We got two this year. An 850 and 600. We rode every weekend and some weeks from December through March. Love them both! We have had short tracks before and decided to try a little longer sled. These both have been a great addition to our fleet. The 850 is much smoother running than the 800. Great power, good handling machines. Thank you for helping us have a fabulous winter !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ********Lots of POWER******* I bought my sled new at the end of the 2014/2015 season. I was so excited to upgrade from my 2010 Polaris Switchback Dragon 600. The only disappointment I really had was the lack of a winter in the 2015/2016 season. We had to travel far to find trails that were rideable. My buddies on their Actic Cats and Ski Doos couldn't even come close to me on the straight aways and when it came to the powder there was more than enough power to keep me moving. Whenever I would crack that throttle I could get the front off the ground instantly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 850 is Slower than a 2018 800 Polaris. Snow checked a 850 pro s switchback after four years of a 2015 800 pro s switchback. I was excited for the new motor after knowing how good the 800 ran. I tried not to judge the power of the 850 during the break in period. Also had two more 850s in our riding group one which blew up twice in a little over a thousand miles. We thought the other two ran decent until the day my year old 800 assault joined the group of now broke in 850s. It absolutely stomped on the 850s at every speed from a stop to a rolling start of any speed. It was very embarrassing to be a 850 owner after that. Our dealer has had multiple 850s go down and I know mine is a ticking time bomb. If Polaris doesn’t step up and do something for their most loyal customers who bought the disappointing 850s then that speaks volumes on what we mean to them. If they truly have fixed the 2020s then they should step up and fix the known problems of the 2019s and not leave us hanging with a hopefully one year disaster motor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the ride! Only got 250 miles on her before I had to put it up for the season. ran great the whole weekend. had to take some time to adjust the suspension for me but once tuned in it made the moguls actually enjoyable to ride as opposed to me hating them on my old sled. Had two issues: gas gauge must be off. My wife has the same sled and she was 1/8 of a tank more full than I was the whole trip except when topped off. the gauge went to zero and still kept running to the gas station 20 miles away without a hiccup but my wifes never went below 1/8 so something is up there. The reverse button is something of a pain...did not want to go into reverse every time. Im going to have these checked out before next season. Other than that its a sweet sled....fast, smooth, and rides like a dream!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2018 600 switchback I went from a 2011 pro-r which I loved to my new Switchback Pro-S and could not believe the difference. Handles better than any others I have owned. Absolutely no ski lift in turns and great performance all around. I am a hard rider and feel I don't have to hardly lean in the corners to make it handle like a race car. The 18" of fresh powder I got to ride it I felt it had great front end lift and hand ability. I absolutely love this sled and not sure how they will make the next generation any better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke more than it was working Bought the sled brand new. Sled had numerous problems right from the start that were at least rectified by my dealer. Unfortunately, every time I planned a trip and headed out, I needed to be towed back. The first thing that went was the oil line blew off the case. They put a long block in it to fix the issue. Next trip out after picking it up, the throttle cable broke. Then the final trip out the ECM broke on it. Needless to say I got rid of the sled and ordered a 2020. Just waiting to pick it up.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Head Gasket Blew after 700 Miles!!!!!!!! I snow checked this sled and had very high expectations for the 850 Switchback. After 700 miles the Oil Pump was leaking thru the weep hole in the block onto the ground and this was due to a water pump gasket failure. This happened during the peak of winter which resulted in losing the entire month of Feb. Had another bad experience with a snow checked 2015 800 Switchback that had fuel pump issues. These took over a month to diagnose. Needless to say my luck with Polaris has not been very good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great in the bumps I snowchecked my 2017 800 switchback pro s, wanted to be able to pick out my choice of color and gauge. it did need a little work to make it corner the way i feel a sled should. first time riding it feels like your riding a bulldozer through the corners it would plow so bad. We stopped on the side of the trail and had to suck the front limiter strap way up. it darts more now but at least i can corner. I do love how predictable it is on bumpy corners. You can ride this thing all day and not get sore, rides like a Cadillac. Plus that 800 has tons of power. I do think they could make the GPS better, i dont like that the map rotates, it gets a little confusing. Also every 25 hours i get a notification saying i need to change oil. they use that gauge on sled and sidebysides. its a little annoying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ride and handling I bought the sled thru snowcheck. .Despite a lack of snow this year I have 1100 miles on the sled. I love the handling and the ride. This snowmobile has given me new confidence on the trails. I am not a new rider.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Nice Sled We had a poor winter last year so it is difficult to give a true evaluation of what this sled is capable of. I really only rode this sled on very well groomed trails so I do not know what the ride characteristics of this sled are. The trails in my normal riding area can go from table top smooth to mogul city in a few hours. Once I get a chance to test this sled in varying conditions I will be able to supply a more thorough and honest evaluation of this sled abilities and capabilities.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed in the sled This sled has been the worst I have ever owned. Went through a couple of motors Polaris did very little got a 2000 voucher but a complete lost season didn’t mean anything to them. Ordered another 2020 850 went on first trip and what a pile of junk it is. Headed to dealer for wire harness and temp sensor. Before that went bad it constantly had a bog sometimes low end sometimes too end sometimes cruising at 60 mph it will go limp and bog. I hope Polaris responds to this email unlike all the others I have sent. Pretty sure they have lost me as a customer. I have a switchback 800 2016 model been flawless along with a turbo razor and a north star ranger 2016 and 2019 models. Plan on selling them all is how happy I am with Polaris customer service. Seems once they have your money they could care less.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So awesome that I had to gt a second one! I originally bought a 2015 Switchback and enjoyed the ride and handling so much that I had to get another one for 2016 and now I've got two. They handle so well and ride so comfortably that they are the perfect machine for anyone from a novice rider to a very experienced rider who wants to run fast and maneuver smoothly through every corner from open trails to the hills and valleys. I absolutely love the new design, look and feel and the color schemes turn heads all the time.

The ultimate high-performance crossover.

2020 800 TITAN® XC 155 is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 65.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great handling machine Ride ,acceleration, handling is great but compared to my 2015 800 assault it's a pig on fuel Why?
Date published: 2018-02-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great handling and plenty of power Have not seen any amount of snow that could stop this snowmobile yet
Date published: 2018-02-15
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Sled, but... I have put on about 2,200 km. Those have been a mix of logging road, hydro line and groomed trail. Sled is easily maneuverable off trail, and handles trail very well, except in tight twisty trails. Sled is excellent in deep snow, good reverse capabilities. I wish high and low gear had more separation, low should be lower, high should be higher. Sled is very hard on fuel, I knew that before buying so no surprise. Oil consumption is terrible. My last trip was 26:1 on mostly groomed trail riding. I have inquired with Polaris, and they say this is normal. Sled smokes heavily when idling. The gearing I can live with, the oil consumption impacts how I wanted to use sled. Polaris - fix the oil use, great sled otherwise
Date published: 2020-01-15
Rated 4 out of 5 by from good power good power but harder on gaz than the expédition extrêm and no good on reverse mode but more maniable and the look is awesome

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all around sled I bought this new in December and was able to ride a few times this year. I love to trail ride but also ice fish etc... I did a lot of research before buying the Titan and now I am so glad I bought this sled. Its all around great performer. It handles deep snow going forward or reverse. Great trail sled with or without 2 up and my wife. The pulling power is great! Burns a lot of oil at the beginning but I was expecting that as being a new sled and its getting better and better as its being broke in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Swiss Army Knife of Snowmobiles Trail, off trail, tandem, chores, rescues, towing... This machine can do it all. Its not a deep powder side hilling machine, but it can do everything else. The alpha transmission makes the throttle feel very linear and controllable in all situations. The 800CC motor will lift the skis off the snow too. Not bad for a wide track machine. Polaris created an entirely new genre of snowmobile with the Titan. This machine gives me the confidence to go anywhere at any speed and get there safely without effort.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good all around sled enjoyed first year with the Titan. Ran and rode great. Pulled well as well. Drawbacks are fuel and oil consumption, is also somewhat of a noisy ride. GPS system is not real user friendly. Book that comes with it is poor as far as explaining use. I would buy another though as it did everything i asked of it and is a very comfortable ride

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extream Crossover ! I bought this machine to replace my other 20" track machine that I have loved for years. Switching to another brand was a tough decision but it has surpassed my expectation and then some. I can now have one machine that I work around the camp with then head out with the crew to go play and fun ride and not be left behind... Love my Titan!
Date published: 2019-04-23
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Excessive vibration and track howl Purchased 6 weeks ago and track howl is annoying but I accept it because of the 1.8 lug 24" track. with that being said I'm disappointed in the excessive vibration in my feet. Otherwise this is a wonderful machine that will go anywhere and will back up in very deep snow conditions. I don't know how you could get this thing stuck!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another perfect day of riding After only having the Polaris Titan for short period of time I’ve ridden in a variety of conditions . Willing to give it a chance but...only took out twice so far and both times check wngine light showed up and had to take it in to the dealer. Very nervous about going to the cottage in the backwoods - will it make it without lighting up? Only 7km on this sled and disappointed so far!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great sled Made my first season with it and I like it a lot. Probably the closest sled to a brp skandic at slow speed in deep snow. Kinda disapointed by the fuel and oil it takes/km... a few less liters/km would have been great .No issues at all in 1500km
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable I put 6000 on this machine in one season. And work okay. The starter is a known issue and the clutch on these machines are not strong. I had 36,000 km on a brp with no clutch issues. Please adress the starter and clutch that's starts sticking
Date published: 2020-01-15
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rides and handles great I absolutely love this sled, just no happy about the amount of oil it uses, although Polaris has made an attempt to address this issue hoping that it comes with the new 850 patriot engine for 2020 with much better calibration on oil.
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lot of power pulls like a Freight train This is a wonderful snowmobile it has plenty of power to trail ride with, the adjustable shocks are very nice feature ,it will keep up nicely with most larger snowmobiles And be able to pull more weight than you would ever guess
Date published: 2020-01-16

TITAN® Adventure 155
Starting at $17,499 CA MSRP

The full-featured, do-everything crossover for maximum versatility.

2020 800 TITAN® Adventure 155 is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 76.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not super pleased. Screws hold the spare seat on the arm rest are stripped, I need to bring that to a dealer for warranty repair. Polaris did not have all the accessories available at the time of product release (including winch and heavy duty bumper, led light bar.) Was told I did not need Tunnel Protectors at time of sale if I studded it out. Then told by a Polaris employee I needed to add Tunnel Protectors. Those were expensive and had to take the back end of the sled off to install. Beyond that the Titan is an awesome machines!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it!! Everyone should own a 800 Titan Getting stuck with this machine is impossible. It feels like I'm floating on snow. It is extremely comfortable; good suspension and a lot of power. It is a perfect snow machine. Go out and get your own. If you live in Northern Ontario, go deal with J & J Sports in Thunder Bay. Nothing but excellent service!!!
Date published: 2018-02-24
Rated 4 out of 5 by from so far so good Very comfortable ride but a little noisy between 40-60 km/h. Great acceleration and low range works great on the bush trails. Not enough deep snow to comment on powder riding. Great storage with lots of room to utilize. Ice auger holder does the job, modified it a little so it was closer to sled. I do find the gas gauge not to be very accurate and it likes to burn oil a lot more than my assault. When cold it can be a task to get it to go in reverse no problem when warm. Even though a nice riding sled I wouldn’t make a habit of trail riding due to the cost of fuel and oil. Will be used as my fishing and exploring sled and my assault will be my trail sled. My two main concerns remains the longevity of the 800 and the high low transmission.time will tell, as mentioned so far so good

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Owner My wife and I purchased our Titan Adventure Christmas of 2018. We rode the "Over the Top Trek" from Tok Alaska to Dawson City Yukon. Winter of 2019 we added a second Titan XC to ride the 1049 miles of the Alaskan Iditarod. Both sleds performed flawlessly towing our heavy loads. There was never a moment this retired couple felt as if these machines weren't up to the task. With snow loads my Adventure was easily handling 800 lbs! The Ride-Command and Heated seats were a Huge Plus!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top everything crossover wide track ever buil!!:) I’ve done everything with this Titan that you can do in Northern Ontario!! Never got stuck nor under powered!;)it’s always taken me where I want to go! Excellent utility sled

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This sled does it ALL! Living in remote Alaska a person needs a work sled capable of towing and utility functions. But we also have the ability and freedom to play and ride in millions of square miles. Because of this its nice to have a play sled also......Now I have a sled that does both....absolute joy to ride. Does not feel or drive like a widetrack. And yes I high mark with a widetrack. Would have never believed it......Thanks polaris, the Titan is flat out awesome.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great snowmobile on and off trail I love my Titan Adventure. It handles well, rides great and is comfortable on and off trail. It feels just as much at home riding groomed trail as it does breaking back country trails into your favorite lake. The list of included features is one of the main reasons that I decided to go with the Titan. Very impressed overall. My only complaint is the drone you hear coming from the track which seems to be a very common occurrence on the Titan.
Date published: 2020-01-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth! You guys figured it out! Super happy with the purchase. Great all around machine! I've hualed fuel, groomed trails, done 70 mph up the river, broke trail, or just a lazy ride around the neighborhood. Super comfortable, fast, powerful, smooth. Transmission is awesome, so much smoother then previous models and love the reverse compared to the perc. Already have 3 friends going to snow check them next year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from excellent but has a achilles tendon purchased in early 2019. it is awesome but..... it has a fan cooled radiator and as we found out it has a finned heat exchanger just forward of the track. The track picked up a stick carried it around and through the exchanger leaving us in the woods somewhere, Really? three hours later and then $$$$$$$$$$ I did not contact Polaris because you know what they would have said...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great all around sled for work and play I brought this sled two years ago and love it best all around sled I have ever owned .I have 3,500 miles on this sled both trail and backcountry .I work this sled hauling firewood ,trail drags and breaking trails where nobody has been all year and it never lets me down.would like to see a little better gas mileage but I can live with it for all the things this sled can do

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far impressed ! Bought a month ago and very happy so far. Was only very disappointed that after the first little trip I engaged the red parking break lever and it broke off. Other thing that didn't impress me was that I wanted to buy at my own dealer ( Trailside Sports Espanola ON ) they didn't have my model in stock and Mid City motors sudbury did not want to do a dealer trade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Machine! I bought my titan last January. It’s an exceptional machine. First off the ride settings and fox shocks are excellent. The high and low gear can help ya big time especially if your an adventurer like myself. And it’s a great work machine as well. If you buy it you won’t be disappointed and it’s all the features your looking for in one machine which is great.
Date published: 2020-01-15
Rated 3 out of 5 by from True crossbreed Handles the trails well enough to keep up but can pull a 500 lb sleigh in 2 ft of powder all day long without breaking a sweat. Had to learn to ride again because the floatation is so good you can crawl places that other machines need high speed to cross and when the bottom does drop out of a cattail swamp, it has the power and traction to pull out on top.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent ridability, excellent all the way around Does everything we could want! Great storage! Excellent winch! Superior comfort, and does wonderful through heavy thick snow that no others can attempt.... others call it a tow truck or a wrecker....we prefer The Limo!!! We can do hills and trails and are not afraid to go everywhere before anyone else gets there even!!! The best machine we own by far!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Machine I live in rural Alaska and purchased a 2019 Polaris titan adventure last winter new. I was really amazed on how well it handled on and off trail. It does not fill like a wide track when riding on the trail at speeds of 60 65 mph. It is also clutched very nice for riding around in the woods slowly. I like how you need no tools to take the cowling apart and changing the belt is simple. It is also easy to change tranny oil. I like the led lights and pidd system I use the gps all the time. It does use a bit more fuel than I’m used to especially when breaking trail. But I was spoiled with a 900 ace previously. I wish there was under seat storage or a rack that could take the place of two up seat. The only storage is in the big box but it is nice to have that space open for chainsaw traps or gas. I have 2500 miles on it fouled a couple plugs blew a belt but besides that runs great. Time will tell how long the motor will hold together. So far so good

Rated 3 out of 5 by from noisy track and vibration Love the machine however there is an aweful low speed vibration and an excessive amount of track noise that takes away from the ride. There has been an open workorder with my dealer for this and so far there are no answers from Polaris. You need to back up your product (good or bad) for issues such as this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Titan says it all I purchased this sled a year ago. It has taken my wife and I on many a trail and brought us home again. Last weekend a friend riding with us had his sled fail and I towed him on his sled with my wife and I on ours. It was only five miles back to the trailers but my sled performed perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Sled! This is the most versatile, fun, capable and comfortable snowmobile that I have ever owned! I’m so impressed with how easy and responsive the handling is given its size! I really like the amenities like the heated grips and helmet hook up on the 2 up seat as well! A+

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome power. Could use some better accessories Bought this last year, very impressed lots of power. Very capable in all conditions little hard in gas and oil but that’s expected. Not as fast as the new expedition 900turbo though. That was a disappointment. Over all I love this sled I hope she last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Far exceeded my expectations It rides like a touring sled. Handles deep powder. Motors through slush. Pulls heavy loads without burning through a belt. Highly recommend this model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent ... but Some new model problems. A lot of low speed vibrations. Snow flap too stiff, holds the snowmobile in deep snow. 24" Windshield fragile and brittle.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Adventure Love the machine and the power. Pulls great but has a few little flaws. The major one is that snow can get in on the belt and causes slipping.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sled. I just have 125 miles on non-groomed trails due to shortage of snow. Can’t wait to get her out on good trails and off into the deep stuff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rides great I bought this awesome machine about a week and ago and rode it a total of 150 miles this past weekend and it did great. There was 10 inches of fresh snow and it handled it like a champ, and it rode as good as my friends Indy on the groomed trails.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from After 350 miles, I love it With a dry weight of 454lb and about 125hp, the power to weight ratio is amazing. It still amazes me when I think that I am riding a 600. As with any cross-over, it does well with either trail riding or hitting fresh powder. Id say the capabilities of the sled lean a little more toward powder than trail riding. But it is a blast to ride in either case. I had it out after a large blizzard and had no trouble climbing hills and carving up the pole lines. I get a little inside ski lift on corners on the groomed trail, but its a 144, so I don't expect it to handle corners like my SRX does. Corner to corner throttle response is very good, it always feels very crisp and snappy. Older 600s I've driven, the acceleration planes out around 60MPH but this switchback has pretty strong pull to about 80. The ride over the bumps seemed to be less impressive than I expected. Given that I've been riding a 2001 SRX, I kind of expected a little more ride comfort when the trails get beat up. Especially given the 17 years of innovation in the suspension system, and the added length of the sled over my old 121. Summed up, I am very happy with my purchase. Its light weight, handles good, breaks trail good, and has a potent little power plant under the hood.

Switchback Adventure®
Starting at $14,799 CA MSRP

The most versatile, do-it-all crossover.

2019 600 Switchback Adventure® is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 70.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent ride I bought 2 of these sleds in mid January 1 for me and 1 for my wife. We describe the ride when asked as "it rides like a Cadillac". I even add that this is the first sled I've ever ridden where you can see the bumps but not feel them. I have 1000 miles on mine and my wife has almost 600 miles on hers with no issues. I'm so impressed with these machines in every aspect imaginable and so is my wife.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Most features are awesome, but..... I was actually excited about the allegedly heated windshield box for my phone and GPS. I shot the inside of the windshield box with a laser thermometer after a 45 minute run and the windshield box internally was the exact temp as inside of the rear storage box that is exposed to the elements.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Wilderness Sled I bought this sled in October and have been riding since. I love the responsiveness, short turning radius, map feature, the color, and storage, just to mention a few. Things to think about when riding down icy roads at high speeds (double carbides and spikes) to enhance stability. Overall, nice machine...even nicer when they manufacture the adventure with a longer track for deep snow in the wilderness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing ride This is my second adventure, I bought a 2013 and I was reluctant to give it up because I loved it so much. After close to 25000km I decided it was time for a new sled. I decided to get another switchback adventure. I am so happy. It has an amazing ride! 60 lbs lighter, upgraded suspension and enlarged back cargo space for travelling. It is a beauty. I am very satisfied!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love the higher sitting profile I upgraded from a 2005 xc600 to this sled after riding my husband's 2016 Adventure. The first 50 miles were awful! I told my husband that I felt the sled controlled me instead of me controlling the sled. He put dual carbides on my sled and it fixed the problem. I wish Polaris would just put duallys on from the git go. That being said I am very happy with my new ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review by wife for non computer savvy hubby! He LOVES this sled. Have had all 4 major makes in 36 years of riding, keep going back to Polaris. He's always been a long track fan and, after riding our 2012 Switchback for a couple of years, decided to stick with that length when ready for new. Haven't heard him praise a machine like this one!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Saddle bags, blue tooth, gps I find the seat way to hard! Maybe if I'd be overweight like most of the people it be alright!! I don't like the skis, lots of water stays stuck in them!! I don't like that there are no grease fittings on the suspension!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome handling Handles terrific. Love the way it manages moguls at speed. Fuel economy not so good. Handlebar warmer controls need 3 settings. Need an easy way to grease the suspension. Too much vibration thru the handlebars. Seat could be softer. Only got 309 miles on it due to warm temps last winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this snowmobile!! I bought this snowmobile in late December and have put 1,000 miles on it. It handles great on and off the trails. The extra features such as the larger windshield, mirrors, cargo rack and charger make it that much better. I added the 2 up seat and my 6 year old nephew and I love it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from ride sucks I snow checked this dog and its been difficult to find some think positive to say about it the darting and the very poor fuel and oil economy come to mind oh and there was the improperly programed digital display(no fuel gage) that should be a good start.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great ride Only put 80km on it but really like the the ride. Only complaint is that the takeoff from stand still is a little soft on the adventure model. Just a clutch adjustment would make a big difference. Love all the storage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most fun on snow! The Pro S Switchback is the most fun I have ever had on a sled. I had a 4stroke Ski doo before but it lacked any sort of excitement. The new Axys chassis on the other hand can cruise all day in comfort thanks to the excellent ergonomics and when the trails get beat up as they often do, I find myself actually riding faster as this machine soaks up the trail junk better than anything else I have ever ridden! I once had to rescue a stranded Cat owner and doubled him back out and he couldn't believe how smooth and how fast we were able to ride.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pro Rush S review Very nice sled! Pros: PIDD system is great! Ride is awesome and very easily adjustable. Power is adequate. Cons: Snow checked with the 1.375 lug track. The sled will not hook up, and since that's as deep a lug as I can go, I am unable to stud the track. Any more than 1.375 and I will hit the heat exchanger. Power is good, but for an 800 I expected more mid range. PIDD system is awesome, just a suggestion... how about adding outside air temp on the main screen so I can read it while riding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Ride! I purchased the sled about 2 months ago and we finally have snow. I have put about 400 miles on it so far and I think this sled is absolutely amazing. The suspension is phenomenal. The ride is so comfortable and it corners like nothing. I purchased the 2up so my wife can come. she has a bad back and this past weekend we did a 105 mile run. She had no issues at all. I do not have to work so hard anymore. it just goes where you want it to go. Fantastic machine.
Date published: 2018-02-13
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A problem about the PIDD I love the machine overall. I have some age-related arthritis issues in my arms/shoulders, and this is very easy to handle. The only issue is that I cannot get my trail maps on the PIDD as advertised here in New Brunswick as well as some other provinces, and I hope Polaris/RideCommand get a proper agreement with the provincial organizations ASAP. I gave up a years warranty for this feature and was not made aware it was not available.
Date published: 2018-02-14
Rated 4 out of 5 by from very smooth and responsive I bought my sled a little over a year ago, but unfortunately with unseasonable winters it has barely over 10 miles on it. I'm also concerned about the amount of seizing motors from the 2019 model year...that really worries me when thinking about booking expensive riding trips to trail ride.I've read and follow the manual from cover to cover, like I do to all my polaris machines, hoping for a trouble free season.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best color scheme available!!! I snow checked this model to get the beautiful color graphics only available on the snow check model. Besides the great coloristics! it also features the best dial in suspension front and rear, coupled with the most advanced digital gauge (PIDD) offered by any snowmobile manufacturer. Add all this to the rock solid high performance of the Polaris engine and you have the best sled made period!!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from haven't enough snow to ride it more ! The only think i find bad is the bottom instrument panel is to small to read with out glasses..Not that I need to see the clock and compass but, what a novel idea. The GPS works great and i believe it could be taken further ? Such as including towns names ? Lets face it trail signage isn't always the best out there and cell phone maps work sometimes .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Point and shoot The sled has a lot of power quick is a understatement. Where you point the skis it’s grabbing and going that way. Great riding sled. The two downsides to it is the seat is much stiffer and wind protection could be better. I have 1200 miles on it love to ride it. When you play around with the suspension you can set the ride to exactly how you like it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome ride and power After a season of riding the 850 and my 2016 800 back to back some days the 850 shines in midrange power, fuel mileage when riding hard. Oil consumption is high but I,m ok with that. Last ride of season though found oil draining from bellypan , it’s booked to go to dealers, hoping only a clamp on oil line and no engine damage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This machine fits like a glove This was my second new machine in 29 years, as a matter of fact I bought my first new machine a 1989 Indy 400, October 14, 1988 and I took delivery of my 2018 800 PRO S switchback on October 7, 2017 ! Those bars are definitely for hanging on ! This snowmobile has the perfect balance of power, performance and handling !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much fun! Absolutely love the pro s! I have a 16 as well but I love how the 18 runs cooler. The thermostat upgrade is amazing. I put the 2 up seat option on with the x spring in the rts and I can go from 2 up to single rider in a matter if seconds. I love my sled! Polaris rocks! If your on the fence don't be just get one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ride and handling My ride comand sucks it is a job to update it. It was out of date the first time I road it. My 2007 melted a mag piston every 1500mi and so does my 2011. My 2015 seams to be all right at 4000mi. My 2017 shut down at high speed last week the PPID came on after it shut down not before like it is suppose to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sled! I snow checked this sled in March of 2019 and I'm on my second year of riding the sled. The power and smoothness of the Patriot 850 engine is unbelievable. The ride and handling of the RUSH Pro S is GREAT! I snow checked another RUSH Pro S 850 for my wife in March of 2019 and she loves it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phenomenal! Best All around sled out there! I moved up to the 800 at the beginning of this season. The performance and handling of this sled out shines any other sled out there. The response in steering is unparalleled. You better hold on when you give it the throttle out of the corner and o no to the straightaway! Love this sled.
Date published: 2018-02-13
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it It's taken a little while for me to dial in the suspension the way I like it...but now that I've gotten it to that point its an awesome machine. The throttle is super responsive and snappy. The seat puts you up high and in the "attack position". Everything about this sled is fantastic!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Polaris RUSH 850 is awesome!!! I’m beyond happy with this sled. It’s very fast and a wheelie machine. Especially with the 850 power plant. I put on 1700 miles on it this year and no issues. On the trail the suspension dialed in right is great, I don’t have a sore back anymore. If you are considering a RUSH buy it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed! On my first and only trip this year with my new sled it broke down!! The chain tensioner broke which caused the chain, tensioner and both gears to break. For the amount of money I invested in the sled and upgrades, you would think it would run more than 98 miles before breaking!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Can't saw enough about this sled. We puchased the Pink Ribbon model for my wife (140lbs), shoe loved it. Rides fast, straight and always in control because of the axys and motor combo. Sled looks great as well, all blacked out with just enough pink to make it female friendly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome ride and surgeon like handling. I have 100 miles on the sled with little snow in Western NY this year. Had the sled out for one run and it is light years above the handling of my past 2011 Rush. I am sold on Walker Evans Shocks. My daughters 09 Dragon has them which convinced me to buy the 17 Pro S.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great handling sled. Been out three times this early season and it rides very good. Very little ski lift as compared to my two previous axys sleds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great handling SC sled spring of 2018. Received sled in December of 2018 and put 600 plus miles on it. Sold it in Feb of 2019 to a private party as good used sleds were selling great due to good snow cover in MN. Picked up a profit of $1500 and put it toward a 2020 Cc 850 XCR.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome machine rides well great acceleration Received my machine last year did not get a lot of riding in due to low snow cannot wait to get back on at the time I did spend on it very exciting very different ride feel and acceleration from my previous Polaris snowmobiles

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rush Pro S Love the ride... just disappointed as my handlebars do not heat up well. The left barely works and the right gets warm. (My husbands are super hot all the time) . I needed to change sleds with him as my hands were freezing!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome handling! Best sled ever! Pick up and speed to spare. Light enough to put the sled where you want it on the trail without having to slow down for the corners. You feel like you're "carving" the trail instead of just riding it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing overall sled. I really like the rider position and handling of this sled. Very comfortable and a definite performer when you want to grab some throttle and crank it up. Handles the bumps very well and corners like its on rails.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Crossed over Fit and finish seems to be great I have not got to ride it yet as we have no snow but so far it seems like a great sled and appears as if Polaris is ahead of other manufacturers in quite a few areas . Happy so far !

Starting at $13,799 CA MSRP

Race-ready strength and durability in the toughest terrain.

2019 600 RUSH® XCR® is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 92.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the sled It's been a few years since i have bought a new sled or even rode. I have owned most of the makes out there over the years. Well all of the have had there good points and bad. I am very happy with my choice i made. I turned 50 this year, my biggest fear was getting sore riding over long distance My first ride was 125 miles, woke up the next day like i never rode. So with saying that. this is my favorite sled so far in ever aspect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Choice I purchased in January and love every aspect of the sled. I have not begun to adjust the suspension. I am currently riding it as it came to see if I would like the ride. It is stiff on the tail end but I appreciate the stiffer suspension when riding the trails aggressively. The acceleration of the 800 is awesome however the top end is not like my 2003 XCR but the ride does not even compare. I am no longer sore after longer trips which at my age is a good thing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Overal Rough Trail Sled Sled does everything I thought it would.....it looks great, accelerates great and is an excellent trail sled no matter if it's tight woods riding or more open riding in the UP of Michigan. The shock package and chassis is second to none......I was riding beat up trail 45 outside of Paradise, MI with 2-3' rollers and chopped the throttle cresting an incline. On the other side was a huge hole I somewhat cased with the skis. Didn't hear a thud, bottomed or anything harsh. I actually stopped to make sure all was good with the front end and it was. Setup was spot on from the recommendation per the Polaris manual (some minor changes). I mainly bought the sled for the shock package and chassis and it delivers! I spring ordered a 2010 Ski-Doo XRS that I still have as a backup that I love, but the XCR is better in every aspect, and I love that sled as well. Big upgrade from my 2014 Pro R 800 that was not as good as the old XRS. Only dislike is the top end of the sled, but I knew going in it wouldn't have the legs of the 850 due to the smaller displacement and the 1 and 3/8" track. So I'm satisfied. The chassis and shock package more than make up for it as I'm not a lake runner and care more about 30-80mph pulls from corner to corner. It's clutched so well that I have a ball on it and love riding it. Not sure I really need the deep lug track, but I'm sure it helps it corner to corner. Would like to see the long life hyfax on the XCR as standard equipment if coming with a 1 and 3/8" track as I'm wearing more than usual, but the winter thus far has been poor regarding snow conditions I feel. It's been a good and satisfying buy to this date.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome sled I bought this at the beginning of the year have a 1,000 miles on it now, no problems the brakes are really aggressive and make a little noise but I came to find out it's just normal. The sled totally rips. Very happy except for the price I can get it for now since we had a terrible winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice trail sled my first rush, best handling machine I ever rode, my goal for 2017 was to find a machine that handled, coming off a series of switchbacks, I decided to give the rush a try, took a trip to the Gaspe with it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handles great! Very fast After many years of riding this is by far the best handling and most fun sled I've ridden to date. Very comfortable and I really like how it handles and the fast acceleration.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from DECENT Coming from a 2005 Ski Doo Rev, this sled rides amazing. The new shocks can really be dialed in to work great under all conditions, from horrendous 3ft moguls to flat and smooth. My only complaint thus far, was the constant darting under most but not all snow conditions. After reading up on it, the problem was remedied nearly entirely by shimming the back of the ski. Impressed with the power and smoothness, not so impressed with the gas mileage, but I didn't buy an 800 for its gas mileage. The power is excellent, the throttle response may be slightly lacking to the previous. I like the riding position, such that it is very easy to stand over rough terrain, yet I do not find it tippy at all. I have not had the opportunity to compare it to the new 850 Ski Doo, but I don't see how it could be much if any better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from XCR 600 After upgrading from an 07 IQ to this 2017 XCR 600 is one decision I don't regret. The handling and performance of this sled is top notch. The thing I'm most surprised with is how well it handles in corners and the acceleration coming out of them. However the first time I rode it I noticed a rattling noise coming from the right side of the sled. After taking it to the dealer they realized the brake shoes were hitting against each other. After putting a spring between the two that seemed to solve the problem. Also around 600 miles the electronic pickup sensor for my speedometer broke. Thankfully, under warranty my dealer had ordered the part in and got it fixed in under a week. One consideration I have is maybe to install some rubber isolators between the side panels and the hood as they shake quite a bit as the sled is idling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from XCR 800 2018. Unbelievable sled to ride. I snow checked the sled in 2017 because I wanted it short track. I had 2016 pro s Long track switchback. I liked the XCR because it was built heavier and I did not find any ride difference between the long track and short track. Once I understood how to set up my suspension properly it was a smooth as silk. And will take any bump you can throw at it. This sled makes me look good. LOL

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Super Dissapointed....seized engine Rode my XCR for 500 miles and loved it. Then seized engine had to be towed home.Spent 2 weeks in shop waiting for parts. Got it back and rode 90 miles and died, had to be towed 90 miles back and took to dealer again. CPU faulty had to wait 10 days again. Missed the best part of season. Dealer was great with a loaner sled and trying to get parts but Polaris would not overnight parts to Canada

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice cornering, I bought this and 800 miles in the secondary bearing completely disintegrated. I was without the sled for 3 weekend, luckily I have a great dealer that took great care of me. Then the shocks blew and had no dampening after 1200 miles, then after a rebuild they had the same issues about 3 weeks later. I also lost an boogie wheel during this time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from IMO the best chassis on snow! Had a 2015 800 pro-s. Loved the sled just the shock package was a little to soft for aggressive riding The XCR package in the AXYS chassis is the funniest sled I’ve ridden! Team it up with the new patriot 850 and it an amazing combination! Best 1500 mile I’ve put on a snowmobile. PS I hope they bring the 121 XCR AXYS BACK!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dominant I have been a loyal Polaris guy my entire life and I have purchased a new Polaris snowmobile almost every year since 1991 (look it up :) ) My 2017 800 XCR is by far the most awesome, best handling, quickest, most confident inspiring sled I have ever owned. I feel sorry for anyone who hasn't experienced it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2017 XCR 600 800 miles with no luck on getting suspension dialed in. A baseline setting is far too vague with the number of adjustments available. A better detailed "the perfect fit" section may help. Categorized by weight and riding style. Reviews have most owners baffled as to how to make these sleds work.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Only 550 miles so far Say this first. Been 15 years since my last sled. Need to ride it more to give a really accurate review. But I am struggling to get this sled adjusted to me. I replaced factory carbides for 8" executives. But this machine still will not carve and hold a corner the way I want. Pushes in the corner. Can not be under power in corner. I am forward on the sled so pressure should be on the skis. Lowered nose of sled with front shock springs. Increased spring pressure on rear shock. Don't want to loosen the front rear skid shock too much. But with the clickers I notice no differences when adjusting them. But snow conditions keep changing too. I will keep trying. I am thinking new skis. But I have faith. Just being honest. The motor 800. On the trail never looking for more power. Love it. Makes me smile. Brakes and clutching perfect! Fuel mileage? Not great but acceptable. Very fun sled. But I am not sure if the handling is good. The sled is a lot taller than my last 2000 xcr. Lower center is faster in a corner. But what my body says the next day after a ride is awesome. No pains at all. Sled does not beat you up at all. If I can get this sled to carve a corner I will have zero complaints.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rear back shock hit my tail bone LOL Very solid machine , it’ runs good on my bumps , it has good throttle response the only thing I didn’t like if I hit my tail bone my the back rear shock. All in all i wouldn’t change anything I’ve owned 2 xcrs 17-18 models the 2018 is a 137’ both are 800

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great aggressive trail sled Have 350 miles on this sled and I can't believe how well it rides, takes bumps and jumps, turns flat, etc, etc. Absolute joy to ride hard. Plenty of power to 70, tops out a little early but it's a 6, not an 800. Having a blast with this sled, very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent handling and ride I bought this machine about 10 days ago, just put the odometer over 600 miles on tug hill, and I can say first hand this is the best thing I have ever ridden. The handling is on point and its so smooth on acceleration. If you want power, its there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good handling Rode for the first time in Old Forge and was impressed with the handling of the varying terrain. Handled the turns very well. Good stand up stance. Comfortable in the rough stuff. Easy to go from a sitting to a standing position and back to sitting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST SLED I HAVE EVER OWNED rides like a cloud on all terrain, takes everything I dish out and asks for more. Great in rough trails and in open whoops. You can hammer down all the way over 2-3 feet moguls and not feel a thing, just hang on, it will rip you arms off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great trail sled!!! The 2017 600 Rush XCR is a great riding snowmobile. Only downfall is the factory carbides, snowmobile tended to dart.. Swapped out factory carbides with 4 inch dual carbides. Darting is gone and handling is unbelievable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from XCR 800 - Great sled ! It is an amazing machine, the low end torque is so responsive; it's awesome. Great cornering sled, inside ski lift is minimal once dialed in. Handles the rough trails amazingly well at a high rate of speed....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't be happier! The XCR is very well suited to the trail and ditch riding that I prefer to do. The combination of springs, torsion bar and the tuneablility of the shocks makes it a step up from my Pro S Rushes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As advertised 600 thinks it's a 800 in this chass I can't say enough about this chassis. I'm 49 and with a couple quick adjustments to the shocks I was riding the trails like I did when I was in my twenties. With a bad back I'm going over stutter bumps at 45 - 50 mph. End of the year 200 mile junk-it-run felt more like a ride home from the store after picking up eggs. I have 30 plus years buying Polaris sleds with 121-1.25 tracks, the 137-1.35 track on this machine is a game changer. No more don't leave the trail in this area or don't take that ditch after a fresh snow. And the light weight of this machine makes it easy to maneuver and position the sled right where you want it in deep snow or tight corners at night speed

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Sled I snow checked 2 sleds in April 2018. A Pro S and an XCR. They did not arrive until January 15 of 2019. We missed out on 2 months of great riding with no explanation or compensation from Polaris. Very disappointed in Polaris. As far as the sleds go, they are awesome sleds. They handle great. The suspension is a bit too stiff on the XCR. The fit and finish is great. I love how easy it is to take off the side panels and the hood. Only had 1 minor issue. The control module on the left side of the handlebars froze up after it got wet and then froze. So I could not use reverse or adjust the heated grips until it unfroze.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2019 Switchback XCR 850 Good sled could be great I like the ride and handling. The XCR is a little harsh and I wish I could have a better choice for suspension's the Pro S was just a little too soft. I like the XCR and will be upgrading the suspension. Re-valve and re-spring. I like the attributes of the XCR and with a suspension upgrade it will be top notch. Also please fix the starter it sounds bad when starting up around other sleds and I don't like the ring gear on the primary clutch. My last 3 sleds Polaris dealer had to fix starter engagement. Keep up the good work!!! Long live snowmobiling The great escape.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic all around Sled! I been very pleased with this sled. It is very comfortable to ride. Mostly I stand as I like to boondock but spend plenty of time sitting as I've put on 3,400 miles. It is responsive on throttle and braking, and the many set ups with shocks help when riding conditions will change based on trips. This sled suspension is a beast when taking on the rougher terrain on trail or off, it feels like it is glued down and I never feel out of control on large bumps at any speed. This might be the reason it has a slightly heavier feel than the Pro S which I also ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Polaris 2019 XCR purchase the above sled as part of the 2019 snowcheck. This is a great sled, engine wonderful, great on fuel, uses little oil, in fact depending on speed get 17-20 miles per gallon Canadian gallon. I do find the suspension very stiff but have found out font springs on XCR including the track front spring are stiffer than the pro S. Did however find it darts a lot and nor sure how to solve this problem. I drive about 3000 klm per year on average. Bottom line great sled switched from Yamaha 4 stoke to Polaris for 2019 and very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST RIDING I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!!! I ordered it in the spring and waited till fall to come. Once the first snow came I was gone to see what I could with the new set up.. first ride was 300 miles and loved every one of them .. was not sore or tired just rode and had fun. Thanks polaris for building the great xcr again and with the 800 under the hood Tons of power to play with

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Sled Yet! I snow checked this sled in April and so glad I spring ordered it as I got to pick the Polaris color red on my 800 Switchback XCR. I love the Red the best and I also got it with electric start and the PIDD gauge which you would be crazy not to get. Polaris is the 1st to have GPS and bluetooth and LED headlights on a sled. Still no one else has GPS and bluetooth and you can say a waypoint say at the truck and trailer and find your way back and it puts a black line on the map everywhere you ride so you can see where you came from and always follow that black line back on the trail to get back. If you have bluetooth on say someone gets separated in your group it will come up on the screen if John texts or calls you! A lot of people don't like the back end look of the Polaris and coming from Arctic Cat all my life, all I can say is go ride one like I did and you will be hooked. Best suspension ever and best ride ever. So smooth and so glad I switched to Polaris, I like everything about the sled and the XCR is worth the $200 more over the Pro S any day and the electric start and PIDD deluxe gauge is worth it. I also had my dealer put on hand guards, mirrors, ultimate front and rear bumpers in red, windshield bag, and 2 other storage solutions and love them all. Only thing is you really have to run mirrors or hand guards not both because you can't really see the mirrors but i'm going to still leave them on, as you can see them a little.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great handling! I bought this sled 2 months ago and put on 500 miles so far and rides like a dream. Easy to operate, great appearance. Love the handing and ride experience. For a xcr could use a lil more top end, it has trouble keeping up after 60mph. I wish the sled had a little bit more storage and came standard with the pidd.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Balanced Snowmobile The Axys chassis is exactly as advertised. The XCR takes this already fantastic chassis to another level. The Hi/Low speed clickers let you dial in for current conditions in just seconds. Coupled with the 800 engine, the fun factor is exhilarating! Quickest accelerating sled in its class!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2018 800 Switchback XCR This is by far the quickest and best handling sled I have ever owned, or ridden. It is amazing!!! I was very impressed with the "snappy" thumb response during break in, then at about 450 miles it just woke up. I was actually laughing in my helmet....it is amazing!!! I LOVE IT.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trail domination I purchased my xcr switchback 600 at the beginning of February. It was just in time for a twelve inch snow around home. Our riding here is open fields and ditches. After the break in procedure was done, I ran 150 miles in bombed out ditches. Everything I could throw at it and it just smiled and asked for more. Fast forward a week and it was on to a few days of trail riding in northern Wisconsin. Razor sharp handling and took anything the trail could throw at it. Very impressed. My favorite sled so far

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Serious Power and Serious Traction What a animal. I road 850 Indy and my Switchback had considerable more traction. Really amazing how much traction it has. Pull is amazing. 850 is an animal. I had a pro-s Switchback before and the XCR Shocks are considerably better and upgraded brake system had better feel and stopping power. I ride flat out all the time and this is really the best sled for it. Only thing that would make it better is if people on Skidoo's knew how to stay on the right side of the trail so I could get by them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sold machine 3/4 way through season! Disapointment I purchased new 2019 850 XCR, which was my 8th Polaris sled. This was one of the biggest disappointments I have ever purchased from Polaris. Myself as sell as several friends all had the chain case gears blow and strand me with 400 km on the machine. That and the endless other issues made be dump the sled 3/4 way through the season and never look back. This is very possible the last Polaris I own unfortunately as I have lost my confidence. It cost me thousands of dollars in losses selling the sled and absolutely no dealers wanted to buy the 2019 Polaris with an 850 engine. This included the dealer I bought it from, so I had to unload it privately. Now, to decided to make the switch to Skidoo, or take another expensive chance. Hard decision. I love the PRO chassis, and handling is best in the industry hands down. But the new 850 is a problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best sled I’ve ever had I’ve had this sled for 2 years and was able to get in a high number of km last year which were trouble free. One of the main features that I like is the seating position which is more upright when other sleds seem to be a slouched position. The sled is good in the corners and carves around the corner well. If you want to open it up there’s enough power for anybody. I bought a polaris rack for the back to carry fuel and oil which works well but I gotta be honest it takes away from the sporty aggressive look of the sled. Bottom line is I love the sled and when I buy a new one, it’s definitely going to be a polaris because I think polaris is taking over from brp. When I’m on the trails, people stop me and take a look at the 2018 sled of the year. I’m proud to be riding a polaris and this machine has turned my blood polaris. Keep up the good work boys! Braappp

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awsome sled The switchback was all i hoped for and more. Its stable and smooth through the trails making it idea to go touring with friends and family on weekends but still has the pick up to race on the lakes. I really lime the rear suspension! It seems like the bumps just are not there as it glided over the beat up D trail on family day weekend. Overall i love my new ride and look forward to every weekend i can take it out for a rip

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sled! I traded in my 2016 Pro S 800 for the 2018 600 XCR and rode the 2018 last season. Great power and response from the 600. I do miss the 800 power and pull but in the corner to corner trail riding I do the 600 was a very manageable and fast when I wanted it. The XCR rides a bit stiffer than the Pro S but I was expecting that and loosing the shock springs and hi/lo shocks have given me a better trail ride experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! This is my favourite switchback! I've owned 5 since 2015 and this one is a masterpiece. The machine takes the bumps, goes where I want it to and the acceleration is incredible. I must say it takes me back to my 1995 xcr days. I feel I'm connected to the new sled and can't be happier! Two thumbs way up! By the way did I say awesome. Thankx again polaris for the grin inside my helmet every time I ride it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than a Skidoo 2018 600R After about 1000 miles, couldn't be happier with my purchase. Sled ran perfect all season with no headaches of any kind. Engine was strong and especially on the colder days has more than enough pull for trail riders of all abilities. My friend purchased a 2018 skidoo 600R for this season and after riding both, a fellow rider bought a 600 Switchback XCR and like me, couldn't be happier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most aggressive sled I've ever driven! I put my first 100 miles on it and it keeps up with my aggressive riding style and is able to take the bumps like a champ and with the 800 HO is just a insane amount of power and having the GPS is a very cool feature, amazing suspension tuning helps because I'm a heavier rider around 260 because I lift weights so I need a more stiff setup. As of now it's the best sled I've rode!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Should've stuck with ski-doo I bought the 2018 Polaris XCR Switchback 800 thinking it'd be a great sled. I've had more problems with it than the 5 years I've owned a 2012 Renegade 600 E-Tec. I've never had any problems with that ski-doo, but with this Polaris, I've had many issues from it not being able to start, fouling out approximately 6-8 spark plugs. I'm considering selling it and returning to ski-doo.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handles great I bought this 850 at bonter Polaris in Marmora Ontario It’s a strong motor but not as fast as your 800 I have been beat easily buy an 16 stck switchback pro s and a 19 switchback assault 800 Your clutching is too light .. friends call it the XCR 750 Other than that it’s a reliable fun sled with second to none handling I suggest you do something about the clutching

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous sled I have ridden the PRO series chassis since 2012 and wouldn't change a thing, absolutely love the ride and handling, had the opportunity to ride the XC this winter and it is also great but just not as comfortable or nibble in my opinion, will always be on the PRO. The new 850 is spot on, all kinds of pull threw the whole power band and smooth as silk, love my Polaris

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best all around sled I have evr owned. I bought this sled in March 2018 and have rode it over 5200 miles. This sled is non stop riding and fun without being fatigued after a 250 mile plus trail riding day. I have off trailed with other mountain sleds and kept up with the best of them. I had minor problems Power valve cable at 3600 miles but other than that it has been the perfect sled for me to ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing handling sled! The Switchback XCR is the best handling sled I’ve ridden. @ 6ft, 220+gear, the sled never bottoms out and corners on rails. Handlebars are at the right height for me and love the feel of the Hayes Race brake system. The 850 patriot engine is so crisp and smooth. In the XCR it is not a top speed getter (gearing) but does it ever rock corner to corner!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great performance AND value! I purchased this sled for my son to ride. Overall we are completely impressed with both the performance and the value that the sled brings. The only negatives were the track being too low of a profile (which we have already changed out) and the suspension springs being a little on the soft side. Otherwise we would’ve given it 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ride is very smooth and comfortable. I bought this machine a week ago. I love the agility, ride comfort and great fuel mileage. I highly recommend Rivercity Sports I was treated so well I went back and bought an enclosed trailer today. Everyone was eager and very personable to make my purchase not only exciting but so easy!! A big thank you to Ryan, Mike and Carly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The second one runs good... I bought my first one drove it for 25 miles and it wouldn’t start back up again brought it in to the dealer and waited for a week to hear back because they were waiting on Polaris to get back to them. Finally got a new one and all had been good since

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy handling I bought this sled my older Polaris was to big it was a 2 seater. I bought it sight unseen and was excited at really how beautiful it was when I got it. It handles like a charm and seat is comfortable just a great sled all around.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cheap sled Wanted a cheap sled , haven't ridden in years , it would work for a younger guy but it beat me up... Traded up to a 2019 xc 600 129" , big difference , electric start - more adjustability , ( almost double the price though )...

INDY® LXT
Starting at $9,899 CA MSRP

Trail touring.

2020 550 INDY® LXT White Lightning is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 41.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great light sled I've had for over a year and had no issues at all.
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome two person trail sled! I absolutely love my Indy 550 LXT! Being fairly new to snowmobiling, I wanted a sled that would comfortably seat two people. The LXT is perfect for a second rider and you hardly notice that someone is seated behind you. The sled handles great on the trails, and does have enough power to climb a hill or ride off trail. It's easy to handle and super comfortable to ride.
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good all around machine Purchased new in 2018 - Used sleds seem to hold so much value I figured a new one would serve me best; A two year warranty was also a bonus. Can't seem to set the clock for the life of me, even after googling and speraking to two seperate dealers - Maybe I'll bump into someone on the trail that has had some better luck!
Date published: 2018-02-13
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice sled Bought this sled because our indy 600's couldn't handle our 12 year old and we need to ride so a 2 up it was. We wanted the adventure 144 but found only one and by the time we got there it was sold:( The cobra track is the only way to go the one inch is not very good and get stuck alot with that track.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected!!! Bought this snowmobile to transport myself, family and friends between my mountain cabin and a parking lot area where vehicles are parked during the winter season. It serves that purpose and much more. We are have tons of fun riding on trails, towing sleds and riding it around the neighborhood.
Date published: 2020-01-15
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Back rest needs to be higher Very good sled, but no after market back rests are available for this model or year. About the only thing I can upgrade is the windshield. Passenger hand grips are to close together, and don't go high enough to be comfortable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Has all the features I need I bought my sled last year. I had 360 miles on it when the engine blew up. Polaris replaced one side of the engine pistons etc. So far this year it's been running good. Makes me a little nervous they didnt replace the whole engine. I will be really bummed if the other side goes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Crossover sled I bought this at the beginning of the year and put on around 570 miles. The machine is great for utility and trail riding, but I wish it had more suspension adjustment options.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love the power and the floatation in deep snow. I road it last year and my only complaint is the stiffness which cant be further adjusted. It might clear up as I ride more. Otherwise, looking forward to a new season.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent, steady snowmobile snowmobile is heavy, definately pack a winch when going through deep snow. very powerful, fairly wide sled. Heavy enough that it gets stuck in reverse rather easily.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well built with great features I only have 25 hours on my sled to date, but it has been a blast to ride. It works great for work and is still powerful to go play on the weekend.

Voyageur® 155
Starting at $9,899 CA MSRP

Off-trail riding plus utility.

2020 550 Voyageur® 155 is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 66.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great in deep snow I had this for the winter and was out in all kinds of conditions. We had about 4 ft of snow and I ended up being the one to have to break trail as all other machines got stuck. I did not get stuck once. It got through some very deep slush on the lakes. the wide skis make the turning radius wider that other sleds but the payoff is staying up on the snow. Trail riding was great as well, as long as I kept the speed down, again big skis and turning. I would recommend this to anyone doing open lake or deep snow sledding. If you are strictly a trial rider then I would pick something else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No messing around When you want to get to your fishing hole with no worries you buy the lightest most capable machine you can get. I did my reserch and chose the Voyager 550 155", no regrets

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does it all! Have put over 500 miles on my voyageur and couldn't be happier. The sled has done everything I've thrown at it exceptionally well. From hard packed trails to 4' of fluffy powder

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hunter/trappers Dream! This snowmobile is by far the best handling sled I have owned. Pulls six dogs behind it and all my trapping gear with ease! I am very happy with my new Polaris!
Date published: 2018-02-12
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good all around performance I bought two rental sleds from an agency in West Yellowstone Montana in March of 2018 at their year end sale. They both have in excess of 3K miles on them. I paid half what new sleds would have cost me. I was assured that the sleds had been well maintained so I thought I would go for it. So far in using them I have not been disappointed. I pull a sleigh with survival gear behind one of them and the sled performs as if nothing is behind it. Have not had any problem breaking 2'-3' of powder. Hand and thumb warmers work great. Sleds start with just a touch of the ignition key. Have not had any problem with them overheating. I purposely wanted fan cooled sleds as other water cooled sleds I have owned were prone to have water leaks, maybe it was just my bad luck. Anyway, no worries about water leaks from a water pump etc. with these sleds. One sled came with the smaller windshield and one came with a larger one. I wish both had the larger wind shield but I can always buy one if I want to. The larger windshield definitely blocks allot more of the cold wind. Anyway, both of these sleds when I purchased them even though they had over 3K miles on them looked brand new and perform the same way. So that being said, anyone considering buying one of these sleds new can probably rest assure you won't have any problems for a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I was hesitant at first to buy a 550 fan thinking it would be a little slow with the long track, but after riding it for a year I couldn't be happier. Great power and handling for a fan. Trail riding was awesome as well, very surprised by its ability to keep up in the trails with the big sleds. Would recommend this sled to anybody who enjoys ice fishing, pulling a slay or shack across the lake. You may not beat them crossing the lake but this sled is such a great bargain you won't miss the 5 to 10 mph your buddies have on you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 2020 155 voyageur The sled handles great on the trail and in deep untouched powder even when towing a trappers sleigh full of gear. The best impovement would be fuel injection so it would be able to run consistently at all elevations and temperatures. Re-jetting all the time is a huge pain and I would definitely look into another model or brand the next time around. If they would offer the voyageur 155 with the 600 fuel injected motor I would have went that route for sure but they only offer the 600 voyageur in a 144 track length.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very versatile snowmachine! I bought this non current model in late this February and was amazed of the units versatility. I'm able to store all my gear for a weekend fish trip using a large Tough Tote (in pic). Trail handling is better than expected and have traveled 120 kilometers a day several times with out any issues and keep up to heavy trail machines. I enjoy the larger windshield I had installed and notice a huge difference once I studded the predilled track. This year's snowfall ( Northen Ontatio)was huge and there was no issues breaking trail in 5 ft of fresh snow and floats on 18 inches of slush. All in all I'm very impressed and very happy with my choice. Great machine! BTW shout out to Gerry at Bourques in Cochrane. Great service and super nice staff. Set me up perfectly, much appreciated!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from light, good flotation & simple I was looking for a replacement for my '97 Tundra - something light, easy for my partner to start that had lots of flotation. This machine has exceeded all expectations. My 600 Widetrak uses pintle type hitch so I had one installed on this for commonality - easily the best sleigh hitch out there, all who see it are jealous of how well it works, particularly when you gather up the sleigh they just lost when a pin fell out. Surprisingly I do find that the 600 has a better turning radius than the Voyageur

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Swiss Army knife of snowmobiled I bought this snowmobile at the start of the 2018-2019 riding season, I put 1100 miles on it doing everything from breaking trails to ice fishing to trail riding to pulling sleighs of gear or firewood. The coldest day i rode was -44 degrees Celsius while cutting trail and the warmest day being a 300+ kilometre trail ride on a late winter +5 Celsius day. Although a little hard on fuel in the warmer weather, this machine started and ran flawlessly no matter what the temperature or job. Going from a 600 liquid to the 550fan I was a little concerned with what a good cruising speed/ top speed would be for those longer unloaded trail rides, I found it will cruise comfortably at 55-60mph with a top speed of 68 mph...if you are looking for a snowmobile that for more than one aspect of the sport I would strongly recommend a 550/155 Polaris Voyageur

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Right for Me! I bought this machine because I was looking for a machine to use over the Christmas holidays (a few days away). The owner of Bourque's was knowledgeable, upfront and a great ambassador for his company. Delivery was as promised, quick and efficient - the snow machine was loaded on the train for us two days later. It has proven to be a comfortable ride and is so easy to start and drive. The size is also just right for me as it is easy to handle.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice snowmobile but.. We bought our machine in November and took it to our cabin, used it off an on for a month had a great time, beautiful snowmobile but then the automatic starter wouldn't work properly so have to use manual pull. We will be bringing the snowmobile in for repair as soon as we can.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Weak parking break. Rear shocks not sufficient Went to engage parking break a couple weeks into owning machine. It is made of plastic and broke. Polaris dosn't offer a torsion spring with increased capacity. I'm 250lbs and it bottoms out when riding over uneaven terrain. Spark plugs were factory tightened so much that I could not remove the plugs in the field. The wrench supplied bent under the torque required to remove them. I live in the artic and almost died due to this issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine; I almost bought the tundra. I was worried the 155 was going to be too long. It gets around as good as my buddy with the LXT 144. I have been nothing but impressed with the capabilities of this machine. It rides great on trails and in the powder. Unlike other machines I can ride trails in the warm weather and dont need to worry about overheating nearly as much. This has been a great machine one season in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sharp looking sled I snow check the voyager. I picked it up last September. I installed PRO-RIDE ULTIMATE FRONT BUMPER- WHITE, WHITE SKI HOOPS, WIDE TINTED WINDSHIELD, SET OF WHITE HOOD SCREENS, tunnel decals, and I had some decals made that are 550 in black/white like the other POLARIS sleds. My voyager looks real sharp. We had a bad snow winter last year. I only put 11 miles on the sled last winter. But I really loved it. Praying for the mother load of snow this year. On a bad note. I did have to bring the sled back to the dealer twice. First trip was the slide stuck in one of the carbs, (and the dealer never cleaned up the mess from the belly pan. not real happy with that.) The second time, when I got home from picking up from the dealer, both high beams did not work. Back to the dealer again. They told me they both where blown. Voltage regulator at the dealer for a week. I had 120 miles on the sled back and forth on the trailer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all purpose sled I bought two of these for back country boondocking and for ice fishing. They are comfortable for riding the marked trails, agile through the woods for the back country boondocking we like to do, and have plenty of power for the mountains and hauling the ice shack and gear. We've had them in the mountains, "off trail" on old logging roads and twitch trails, and just bombing out through the woods. I did modify the rear with custom racks to suit our needs for what we like to carry with us. The biggest plus is the agility, but the only complaint I would say is they are not as stable as the old style sleds we had. That took a little getting used to. One thing to keep in mind, the wide flotation skies are fantastic in the deep powder but they don't cut a line on hard pack and will slide sideways. Over all, for the mixed purposes, I don't think we could have found a better sled that can do it all. And believe me, I did the research.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Voyageur 155 I bought it in January. first trip was running really rough. we change jets right away, first day. Machine ran better but not perfect. Next trip the clutch blew up. Dealer, Checkerflags in Whitehorse is excellent, covered the repairs under warranty. This is my second voyageur. The first one runs like a clock. Maybe the second one is a Friday machine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Snow ninja This season I decided to Purchase a Polaris 550f voyager with the 155” track. We just received 553 cm of snow this season and did not get stuck once. It will go anywhere. The track and handling is amazing. It does suffer in fuel economy and is a little on the cheaper side in the assembly department. But it’s a great overall machine for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love My Polaris Polaris builds high quality snowmobiles, had one in the 70's and would keep going when others were breaking down or couldn't handle the harsh conditions. I'm getting back into the snowmobiling and wanted a sled I could count on. I used it in the back woods and want to take it icefishing. I has an appealing design, looks as good as it runs.
Date published: 2016-09-07
Rated 4 out of 5 by from tippy The machine was set up originally with the narrowest ski stance. I found it very tippy. At the end of the season I had the dealer widen it to the max so it should be better this year. Also only had 1 light on low beam that worked all others were burnt out from day 1. New light bulbs were installed on the 200 mile check up under warranty.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Initial problems Cost was reasonable but i needed a functioning machine for work immediately. Ran rough. Carbs were mis-adjusted from the factory and took me 2 or 3 visits to dealership to sort it out. It ran satisfactorily after that. Now in second winter at approx 1000 km. it runs very well. Good pulling power which is what I need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awsome Super flotation over 4' of snow got me every place I wanted to go. Hulled in fire wood from bush no problems lots of traction with the 155-1.6 track and the 550 fan had plenty of power. Added 2up seat and large storage rack with plastic insert amazing amount of storage. Extreamly happy with purchase

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great ice fishing machine! The Voyageur 155 is a beast off trail and in the bush. This machine will go anywhere. The setup with the wide skis and articulating rear suspension performs really well. Had a problem with the chain tensioner breaking, but Polaris fixed the problem to questions asked.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Travel I bought two of these and I like them they are good for breaking trail. The only thing everyone up here in the north is having trouble with is the shocks they don’t last long up here. When it’s cold and off trail the shocks die very easy. Seems a little hard on gas

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome first machine! This is my first snowmobile and I am not disappointed. Easy to handle, decent power, fan cooled means no overheating on trails and lake excursions. Very happy with it as a newbie, female rider not looking to explore mountain terrain yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All around back country machine I compared other makes and models and this machine was a better value. The performance is better than expected. perfect for back country use as well as trail riding, and work. I added the large rack and it is worth the extra cost.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from medium I am happy overall , except fuel consumption and engine performance. in canada we measure in liters per 100/km , peopel with same snomobile need 20 liters per 100/KM , my Voyageur is over than 30 liters.

Versatile, do-it-all.

2020 550 INDY® Adventure 144 is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super 2 up Only 100 miles on this year, but drives like a Cadillac compared to my 2003 XC500. Love electric start. Reverse is awesome. Fits into the trailer I used for my Ranger. Good for my 50 year old mentality - plenty fast and get-up, but smooth and can get unstuck without breaking my back lifting and pulling.
