PRO-RMK® 155
Starting at $13,599 CA MSRP

The ultimate mountain sled.

2020 600 PRO-RMK® 155 is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 63.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great handling sled, feels like riding a bmx bike Very happy with my 7th Polaris snowmobile purchase. The only issue was a faulty spark plug that literally fell apart at 190miles. The ceramic insulator detached from the body of the spark plug and dropped the electrode into the ground strap. This caused the PTO cylinder to fire intermittently and power to reduce to about zero. Also the engine temps were uncontrollable once the failure occurred. Unfortunately we were pretty deep in the Oregon backcountry with weaning light when this happened. Since the sun was setting and a blizzard was rolling in we chose to leave it and come back the next day. All in all not a big deal, but it could have been a lot worse if we were in a less accessible zone. Moral of the story is; carry spare plugs. Even if it’s a brand new sled.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great when it starts This is my 7th snow check New mountain sled 155” . The 850 rips when it starts and the 3” track I’ve been riding now for 3 seasons and is amazing compared to the 2.6. The 850 left me in the lot not starting 5x this winter and was in the shop for probly 30 days total missing out of those days riding. Thank gosh I can afford 2. When it did not start I would ride the wifeys 18’ Pro 800, good ol’ reliable , starts every time ! Kinda bummed about the 850 , love the stance of it and Definetly little more power than the 800, but not starting issue hmmm . Guess they put new injectors in and seemed to help. Would be nice to be compensated for my down time seeing how I spent a lot on a new sled , cuz I will buy another Polaris for sure . Hopefully, u guys get it all figured out with the new line of sleds.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Gave me problems all year It had a bogging problem And my lugs for my truck I lost over six of them. It was back to the dealer every week cylinder on the PTO side is washed out they tried to change everything but the block but it still does not run right it has been the worst experience I’ve had and I hope Polaris finally gets her act together and gives me a new sled I am truly unhappy with Polaris his service I have Rod Polaris for last 10 years and I think this will be my last

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic machine once the bugs were worked out I picked up the sled December 1st, ran great for about 100 miles, then started having the dreaded bogging issue, was told to put more miles on it, 330 miles sled was reflashed and power valves were cleaned. Runs like a champ after that. Been to Wyoming and all over Michigan. Sled is a total monster now. 600 pure back country miles this year and can't wait for next season!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than my 800! Got out 10 times since Dec. when I picked up this 850 and it’s been better in every aspect vs my 14 Pro 800. Have over 350miles and 21hrs of fun! No problems except it now has a whistling noise coming from fuel pump which will be covered by my 4 year warranty. Could definitely improve on the clicker shocks. Overall it gets 10 stars ⭐️ so add 5 to my 5 star rating !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best sled I have ever owned I rode a turbo sled for years and can’t believe the performance from a stock sled. The react front end is awesome. Barely any input needed to put on edge. I am extremely happy with the work you have put in on developing this sled! Can’t wait to ride the kaos next season. Keep up the the good work making this machine the best backcountry weapon

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Sled! I bought this sled after having one that was so frustrating that I considered quitting the sport. This sled is so bulletproof and handles unbelievably well that I cannot adequately put it into words. I take it to amazing spots boondocking and it is equally comfortable on the trail .i love the power and the handling. Great job Polaris!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Excellent unit with a couple of flaws This machine is an absolute beast when it is running correctly. Have had my share of issues with it ie fouling plugs, really bad bog, track loosening up and ruining track. I love the machine but will probably not buy another one until some of the bugs get worked out. I just can not trust it like I need to for a mountain machine.
Date published: 2019-04-18
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Skidoo to RMK Took a little getting used. I rode it for a couple of months with the clutch weights way light and burned up a belt, I did call the dealer to let them know something wasn’t right but they said I needed to break it in. After burning the belt I took to a different dealer to and after getting the clutch fixed it has been great!
Date published: 2019-04-18
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Front end changes are great motor is strong Really like the sled it’s my fourth PRO, 3rd on the Axys chassis. Front end changes and shorter running boards are great. 850 motor is strong but it has a low end stumble/bog that is driving me nuts. Dealer says it is a east coast clutching issue and Polaris knows about it but doesn’t have a fix. That’s frustrating!
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from The sled is set up great for an intermediate Rider My sled has been great it goes wherever I want to go. I only gave it a 4 because I did an ECU update and have not been happy with the performance since. I believe they put too much fuel into my program where it ran much cleaner before and now I can't put that tune back.
Date published: 2019-04-21
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good sled Unfortunately my 2019 850 rmk was more more anticipating its arrival than all my riding throughout throughout the year. My snowmobile had a wicked low end bog from day 1 and still isnt resolved. I can tell once its fixed it will be an absolute blast.
Date published: 2019-07-28
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the new front end!!! This sled performs in the mountains like a dolphin plays in the oceans. Light, quick, and oh, so manuverable!!! Pops up out of the powder like no other sled available! Spool up on this motor is unmatched, making it very responsive to operator input.
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 3 out of 5 by from No bearing issues I have had no problems with the engine as many have experienced. My only concern is this was bought off the showroom floor and only came with a one year warranty. Makes me nervous for next year, as I've read there's been problems..
Date published: 2019-04-18
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Flickable I bought this in march i put on roughly 120kms on it and it is fun to ride waaaaay different than my previous sled(2009 m8) wish i got to ride it more its light turns well easy to get on edge that 3 inch lug sure digs in the snow
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Funnest sled I’ve ever ridden! Overall this sled just keeps amazing me. The ability to initiate a sidehill compared to my 16 pro is night and day, the front end is amazing, and the fun factor with the 850 motor is night and day from my 800
Date published: 2019-04-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good. Snow checked a 2019. Was very disappointed in the delivery date. Love the sled! Handles awesome and has great power and throttle response. I am also disappointed in the warranty coverage that I got so far.
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome sled I bought this unit for the 2018-2019 snowmobiling season and couldn’t be more happy with the sled. The power and handling is amazing. No issues what so ever at all with it. Best purchase I’ve ever made.
Date published: 2019-04-19
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hesitation that will not go away Destroyed track at 100 miles Polaris was kind enough to make me pay for it saying it was my responsibility to properly adjust track wow Fourth axys I have owned never had a issue till now
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great handling. Took a chance on the new 850 engine. I did not experience any issues with the engine. We went on only one trip. I think I only put on about 150 miles. Handled "lighter" than my 2012 RMK.
Date published: 2019-04-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light and powerful Off trail and back country the sled performs great, and outperforms any crossover off trail. The narrow skis make groomed trail riding a challenge but off trail this is the sled to have!
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rmk pro 850 patriot I snow checked my 850 and it was the best thing I've ever done or rode . The power of the sled is crazy and being able to put the sled on its side with ease even being a 125 pound guy
Date published: 2019-04-22
Rated 4 out of 5 by from runns hot sometimes Mostly happy, but still gets hot in less than 4 inches of snow, Up to 170 - 180 or more, Have to ride on trail with scratches down, outside tenp 30 - 35 degrees.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sled This is the first sled I snow checked. Overall I am really happy with the sled. Other than the low end bog in the beginning it had been a great sled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sled! Pulls hard! I had issues withing the first 200 mi. however after a week at my dealer I've back up and running perfect since. 850 miles and counting

PRO-RMK® 163
Starting at $14,999 CA MSRP

The world's best mountain sled.

2020 800 PRO-RMK® 163 is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 98.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Best sled I've ever rode...when it works I'd give it five stars for when it runs good. Best handling sled I've ever rode, predictable, and smooth. I did things day 1 on it I had been trying to do for yrs on my skidoo. But it's also been had electrical problems since the begining..sensors for speed and odometer, some clutching (not big issues) but after about 400 mi. It started a bog. Sadly had to go back to skidoo for the end of the season but hopefully it's up and running next yr

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bogging issues Ran good first 100 miles then started bogging, brought it in to the dealer they didn’t want to help me. Said it was the new flash they put on to help it. It didn’t help it. Bogged up all the shown melted with no explanation. The chassis a good chassis effortlessly handle it in the trees, but when the powers not there because of bogging issues you might as well be riding a Elan, I Would of bought the BRP 850 if I new this was going to happen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In love I snow checked the 850 163 3” and love it handles like a dream honestly my dads 16 163 3” isn’t even the same game! The front end is so light and nimble and the power is at your finger when ever you want it’s there now! Me personally would like narrower bars and a lower slimmer seat but that will get changed with after market parts. If your a new rider all I can say is hold on it’s got a lot more jam then you think!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice machine Snowchecked this machine this year. The 850 motor was impressive and very happy with it. Noticed improvements with the new map. Came from a 800 pro 163 and noticed the axys chassis was a big improvement. Only thing would have liked more ski lift. Put 1200 miles on so far and only issue was a slipping mountain bar that was fixed on warranty. Would like to try the kaos out to see if has more ski lift.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big Smoooth Power! Now in all fairness I'm coming off a 2016 RMK PRO 600 (but I rode a buddies 800 alot) and compared to either the 600 or even the 800 Axys, the 850 has a way more pull especially bottom end. Also i found the 800 was "Buzzy" vibrating the bars to the point my fingers would go numb, but the 850 is smoother than the 600 with nearly no bar vibration. The new React front end is noticeably better / lighter feeling than the previous Axys front end, and set narrower much easier to get... and keep on edge. The front a- arms seam to be stronger (maybe just because they are shorter) than the previous arms. I only had one small issue(rear shock leaked down) and my local dealer recharged it in no time. There is always room for improvement and I expect Polaris to continue refining there product, and as long as they do I will continue to support Em! Very happy with my purchase 2019 RMK PRO 850 163 2.6"

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sled, need to fix bog issue This sled feel great on the trail at about 5000 rpms or so, has awesome power, but in the backcountry where it should shine it bogs occasionally. Especially in technical tree riding. I had the reflash done and it helped but still does bog on occasion. I have faith in this motor and sled but you guys have to fix this. I hope this helps thank you

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2019 Polaris 850 163 X 3 It works good. I think the 3" track trenches more than my 2018 2.6" track. The 3" snow flap is very brittle and has cracked. The electric start is a nice feature. Still no dead man switch with tether so I had to add that. Seems the plastics are a little more precise than previous Pro's and Axis's but the hood is weak.
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good power Snowchecked last year, didn’t know what to expect. Was very happy with the power and maneuverability of the sled. Only little things went wrong like flooding and one hand warmer conked out but other then that no issues so far at 1800 km’s. Will be keeping this sled until something better comes out.
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Patriot 850 After a demo ride at my local dealer I was hooked and I’m happy I snowchecked the 850 rmk. The nimbleness and playfulness is unreal compared to any other machine out there. The ability to get up on the snow and hold a side hill with ease will make anyone feel like they’ve been riding for years and be able to ride longer and enjoy it that much more. I rode this thing all season and wanted more. And for the big mountain guys I believe this set up with a turbo would be untouchable. Cross our fingers for a factory turbo.Great sled out of the box I adjusted suspension and handle bars to my style and size and didn’t need to change anything. Rode hard all winter and not one issue. I scored features and technology a 4 of 5 because I think they should come with a tether. Also the compartment on the hood I wish it was large enough to fit a pair of snow googles in I have not had luck with that I had one pair out of 7 I could cramp in there not impressed with that one feature. That’s my only complaint.
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Holy plugs It’s definitely impressed from the start. Pulled harder and longer than the doo’s and that was even from a doo rider. Handles mint side hill and in the deep. Went through 4 sets of plugs in the first 40 hours. Didn’t bog other then the plugs and always switched then out right away.
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great options! Bought the sled a couple months ago and love it. The only thing I do not like is the suspension. The springs need to be almost maxed out for any sort of jumping and even then they still aren’t the greatest and will bottom out almost every time no matter the snow conditions.
Date published: 2019-04-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible power & reliability I haven’t had a new sled in quite awhile and I was nervous at first with getting a first year new engine but I have had nothing but a good time. My sled has never once let me down. The power is truly incredible. It has taken me to places I never thought I’d be able to reach.
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the looks and feel of the machine. Was only able to put about 400 miles but works great and I love the power and handling of the machine. I still wonder why Polaris doesn't have a tether on their mountain sleds like all their competitors offer. That's why I only rated it good for technology and features.
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Thumbs up for Polaris I am very happy with my 2019 Polaris 850. I feel the Patriot engine is very strong and smooth. The sled itself is very agile and easy to ride. The only issues I see with this sled is the spark plugs fouled during break in and sometimes it's hard to start even when warm
Date published: 2019-04-18
Rated 3 out of 5 by from great handiling, engine reliability issues I was very happy with performance and handling, I blew off a oil line to the crank bearing so concerned about the longevity of the engine and the water pump drive gear. I had a 2016 800 prior to this one and my 850 has a lot more vibration at idle than my 800 did
Date published: 2019-04-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Endless power for intermediate rider Super quick and easy edge to edge, Flickable is a spot on description. Taking on steeper slopes than ever before at Mt Baker with confidence. The sled has really upped my game with amazing power and zero issues. Only problem was winter not lasting long enough!
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Mountain Sled Period I had no idea a sled could be this good and this easy to ride in technical mountain terrain. The things I couldn't do on my ski-doo, I can do with confidence on my 2019 163 Axys. This sled gave me an insane amount of confidence. Maybe a little too much ;)
Date published: 2019-04-23
Rated 2 out of 5 by from didn't handle well wasn't what i expected lack of power. Saw a lot of problems with them. i hate the fact that you can not build a sled and pay that kind of money for some ice scratchers that break off whithin the first few miles. Ski-doo dosen't have that problem
Date published: 2019-04-18
Rated 4 out of 5 by from never buy first year model ))this is my third rmk800. (14, 17, 19) First two i liked very much. 2019 850, i liked until oil injection hose came off back of crank case. In shop now with engine disassembled. Spring riding is my favorite and i cant ride it!!!!
Date published: 2019-05-03
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best sled on the market I bought this sled through the Snowcheck program in the spring of 2018 and I couldn't of been any happier. Super responsive throttle, lots of power and the axys chassis is incredible! And with the 4 year warranty what's not to lose.
Date published: 2019-04-21
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unstoppable I only got in about 8 rides this year but I can say with confidence it's the best sled I've rode by a considerable margin, My last 3 Arctic Cats can't compare in any category, though to be fair I never got to try the new Alpha.
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from good sled I like the way the sled handles but I am bummed that they made several updates to the calibration of the motor and they way the bearing is retained. I think the 2020 will be a great motor. I just wish I had waited a year.
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from smooth power Power is smooth throughout, from very bottom end torque to long climbs. Doesn’t miss a beat! Handles great, although the narrow stance takes getting used to. I found myself falling over from overcompensating..
Date published: 2019-04-19
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Getting there.... This is my 5th Axys RMK. Would love to see some better hand warmer and switches on these sleds. They sucked back in 2011 and they still suck today. Also make a better pitman arm. Tired of breaking those.
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handling is easy for my 130lbs. I only got to ride 200 miles on it before I had an accidental encounter with a stump and broke my wrist. I will hope for better luck next season. I am still in physiotherapy 13 weeks after this sad event.
Date published: 2019-04-18
Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2019 rmk pro 850 Great handling sled. The new front end offers great responsiveness on the side hills and in the trees. Great power all the way from bottom end to top end. You can feel the sled pulling through all ranges.
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 1 out of 5 by from 5o% of the time it works every time Snow check every year. This thing is a possibility the worst sled I've ever owned. And I've owned a lot. Polaris need to put a little bit of reliability back into these 15k piles of aluminum.
Date published: 2019-04-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun winter Bought it last year as a snow check. Love the sled with the new 850 motor. Put a BD turbo on it right away and it is crazy fun and the new react front end was much needed in the mountains
Date published: 2019-04-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing power After the sled gets it’s break in time, this thing came to life. What a beast the Patriot is. So much fun to ride in the back country. Put 1100 miles on last winter and loved every mile.
Date published: 2019-11-23
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Aweome Power & Track Speed in the Powder! I previously had a 2017 800 RMK 163 X 2.6. Upgraded to the 2019 850 RMK 163 X 2.6. The track speed and climbing ability of the 850 is a dramatic improvement over the 800. Not even close.

The ultimate mountain sled.

2020 800 PRO-RMK® 174 is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality I had a little over 300 miles on my new 850 and had to bring it in for the dealer to pull the engine out if it wasn’t for the quality of work and the excellent staff I would have went to the nearest Ski Doo dealer and bought a new sled.

Very disappointed, now sled is in the shop and cutting into my allready short riding season. Not to mention all my riding partners harassing me for not buying an Arctic Cat. Is Polaris going to do anything to restore my faith in their brand?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent all around sled I bought my 2017 sks from Jackson sports in Jackson Mn. When I saw this sled last year I told myself I had to have it. So I snowchecked it for 17'. I live in northwest Iowa and usually take 3-4 trips a year to the Snowys, Black Hills, Big Horns, somewhere in Colorado, and occasionally a trip to Wisconsin or Minnesota. Being that I like mountain riding the best, I focus my sled more towards mountain riding. Being that I ride rough ditches here at home, trail ride if I'm in Wisconsin, ride a little bit of everything in the black hills, and try and tackle the trickiest terrain in the mountains, the sks does them all every well. With the extra heat exchanger I never have to worry about getting hot. With the extra boggy wheels I don't have to worry about my slides. I believe more midwesterns should look more towards buying the sks because it does everything well and you don't have to worry about anything! I rode 200+ miles in two days of strictly trails in the Black hill that were hard pack Smooth and not much snow, and my temp never got over 128. I rode the snowys this year in a couple feet of fresh pow with 153", 155", and 163" 3" track and still was king dog. (Rider experience is high).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Subpar Durability Nice off trail handling. Suspension really not that good coming from the Freeride/KYB setup. Rear rails slightly bent. Never rode this sled on dirt or hit anything. Warrantee denied. Rear shock completely blown out(no fluid). Until I tear it apart I won't see what the issue is. Rear snow flap broke and fell off. Poor design. Saw others with same problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Chassis Love the ride and handling. Only had a few minor issues but we do keep spare a-arms and relays on hand. Probably going to need a slight power increase and better electrical harness to stay on top. I would buy again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Sled plenty of power I've owned 800s before but this sled blows them out of the water. It handles great and is so light. I have yet to get it stuck and I'm the type of person that tries to put there sled through the worst conditions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great preformance I Snow checked SKS last Spring and I love the sled. It is a Mountain sled for a flat lander. With the extra cooler, it never heats up in marginal snow and is a joy to ride when you get to the deep stuff.

RMK® Assault® 155
Starting at $14,899 CA MSRP

The tough-as-nails backcountry original for extreme conditions.

2019 800 RMK® Assault® 155 is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Sled Made I have been riding an RMK for years and at the dealers suggestion i snow checked a new assault last year. It was great advice the sled is amazing and I could not be more excited and happy with the machine. The new chassis is not an extreme change but just a little better in every way and for me that's perfect. I love that Polaris made some needed upgrades without recreating the wheel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It bogs here and there usually on groomed trail Sometimes it bogs quite frequently on groomed trail, it will be almost 8000rpm's then bogs out to 6200 jolting you. Also I've noticed all the bushings on a-arms are not up to par allowing play in all of the a-arms. And the ski rubbers DO NOT last at all , im already on my 5th one, this is my 5th Assault. Other than that I love it, the 3" paddles fn rip. I ride 2-3,000 miles a season .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 18 Polaris rmk assault 800 Bought a couple months ago only got 90 miles on it but this thing is a beast. Last sled I owed was a 2002 rmk 800 so a bit of a change. This thing floats great handles easy and a lot of power for North Dakota. I can’t wait until next year to take it to the mts and see what it will do in deep snow. But so far I’m in love the sled highly recommend this or a pro rmk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my riding style! I really like this powder version of the Assault. I’ve had no problems getting around in chest deep powder in the northern Montana Rockies. I’m all about big jumps and big drops and this sled does it all “ like a Boss”. I’ve owned previous generation Assaults and this one is the best for me so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best sled on the market! The set up and information from the dealer could have been better, although they were friendly, there were a few issues with initial setup. After the sled was properly setup, it has been running flawless and couldn’t be happier with the performance!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good sled, gauge sucks PIDD is nothing but problems. Taking it out is even bigger pain. Molded in m6 nuts just strip the plastic. That’s my only complaint, besides it needing more power

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Shelf Performance. I bought this sled fall of 2017 and until then the newest sled I owned was an 02 RMK, heavy, built like a boat and tough enough to take a beating but carbed and loved to foul plugs just as much as I liked to ride. First ride on this sled was an adjustment for sure, the axys chassis allowed for more control, she laid over and carved and wove through the trees with more ease then my grandma sewing a quilt. The climbing power the throttle response and the comfortability of this sled was all a major upgrade. Only weak spots I’ve found on these sleds is all simply rider error, the A-arms and the tunnel are not designed for tree bashing or hard flops so recommend an aftermarket bumper for tunnel support and better goggles to see what’s in front of your skis. But these sleds seriously take a good day of riding and make it a great day, they open so many doors you couldn’t attempt on a heavier sled and there is enough power to keep your tips up for making it up and over a bump in the snow without taking it to the belly pan. I loved this sled so much it made me curious what Polaris had brewing in the back so now that the 2020 is on its way out with an 850 in a snowcheck model I ordered on up with a 163 to see what the next era holds. If you get one of these sleds it will be everything but disappointing. The power to weight is unmatched and the fun and smiles it brings could not be traded for anything else in this world.

The most versatile deep snow sled.

2020 800 SKS 146 is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 70.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect U.P. sled!! I'm coming into the end of the first season with the SKS 146, and i have to say...I LOVE IT! One of the most fun sleds I've ridden. Super playful off trail and still handles the trail well. If your looking to hit the powder & powerlines...you'll love this sled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultimate deep snow flatlander sled. I love this sled! Perfect sled for my ride type. Alberta flatlander riding 80% off trail and 20% on. Dual heat exchangers keep the sled running cool all the time even on trail or lake runs. Excellent deep snow capability with on trail stability.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great offtail, somewhat good on off trail. The SKS' skis lift like crazy, fun sled to ride, plows through the snow I ride in (2.5ft ish). Trail handling is pretty bad but the ride is good enough and I don't really care about trail performance. I'm a small guy (120, 5'8) and I had some difficulty getting the sled on the side, wheeling, and all that fun stuff. I need to make some different adjustments to the suspension and limiter strap. Great in the backcountry but don't expect much for on trail handling.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad have over 1000 miles and expected more from Polaris and this sled. Cons: Overall the fit and finish is ok at best, panels and decals seem off and things seem to loosen up as the sled gets hot. The handwarmers are extremely inconsistent. I should NEVER have to use the throttle let alone hold the throttle wide open to start a sled. The gas tank is too wide, my knees constantly hurt from hitting the tank and seat. Almost impossible to fuel up, I can nurse the pump and add over a gallon more by waiting for the tank to settle little by little, if I do not my dash only reads 85-90% fuel. Seems to drink lots of oil, never slowed down after break in. In 1100 miles it has used over 3 gallons. Pros: Has good power. Very responsive on throttle. Very "snappy" Extremely easy to handle on and off trail. Everyone loves my founders edition.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Decent sled Bought 800 sks before this winter, I hate a lot of fun with but had some issues. The overall quality was only ok, after first trip my ski loops have gotten so lose they rattle, I had clutching issues and needed work done before I even had 500 miles. The power of this sled is so so, and the form n fit is also only ok. I did have a lot of fun off trail with this sled when things ran well, it also handled the trail well. I may go back to ski doo

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great overall sled - would like stiffer ride Overall really happy with this sled. If I could have changed 1 thing, it would be to have stiffer suspension that could handle some of the bigger bumps/little jumps that you encounter when play riding. In my opinion, the Assault 144 could stay softer for those customers that want better trail handling, but make the SKS 146 a little bit stiffer for more active riders in the mid-west who are trying to emulate mountain riding, but don't have the deep/soft snow so you end up bottoming out the suspension too easily. One other thing that would be nice, would be to have better holes in the footwells for snow excavation, they really get packed full easily and makes tough to place your feet where you want them. Otherwise couldn't be happier with the sled, the narrower front end of the SKS was a perfect upgrade for me from the Assault chassis...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome sled to ride. Smiles all day I snowchecked this snowmobile after not having a sled to 5 years and I'm glad I went with the SKS 146. I had a 2013 switchback assault that I absolutely loved but this SKS blows it out of the water. Granted this is a different chassis, the narrow front end makes this unbelievably fun to ride. Carves in the powder like a hot knife through butter and can still attack the trails. Best sled ever!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all around sled great power handling I bought this sled late December 2017 have loved every minute of riding it, snappy power fun and easy to maneuver and stands on its back bumper with ease. Only issue I’ve had is the clutch adjuster nut has come loose and backed its self off a few times now which makes the shims close tighter and grab the belt when your not on the throttle only issue so far 500 miles on it and Cloé it

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fun but will it last? I’ve been riding Yamaha for over 10 years and decided to try something different. The positives, ride quality, light, overall fun sled! The negatives, engine rebuilt at 900 miles, but luckily so has a great dealer and Polaris offered an extra year and $500 in accessories. Also tends to burn a lot of oil and the PIDD is worthless, had to go back to my Garmin.

Switchback® Assault® 144
Starting at $13,599 CA MSRP

Off-trail agility and on-trail confidence for aggressive backcountry riding.

2020 600 Switchback® Assault® 144 is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 285.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Amazing sled, poor execution I am not a brand loyal guy. I was on a Ski Doo prior to this for 4 years. I was on a renegade x 800 and I saw this assault as being the perfect cross over sled. Polaris doesnt match the fit and finish of a Ski Doo. I bought this for the fun factor and rider position/ergonomics. This is where Polaris hands it to Ski Doo. This issues with this sled is the poor execution of a first year motor. There is a constant bog/hesitation around 6100 RPM. Also it struggles to start when got and sometimes backfires when going from heavy throttle to quick stop. The PIDD is terrible compared to the ski doo & Garmin partnership. Allow us to upload our massive trail GPS database!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not a bad sled Spring check model and the first Polaris I ever rode or even rode with. Engine and clutching is very smooth and well balanced. I like the 144 for cross over reasons but the valving is way to stiff. Also my biggest gripe is the seat is too wide. But all in all its a decent sled, but still not sure if it's one I want to keep.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun sled 2017 assault 800, fun sled lots of power and easy to ride for a tall guy like myself. Was comfortable most the time. Only issue I have is I missed out on 4 days of riding in northern ontario because my sled blew a plug clean out of the motor head. Left side. And a few other 2017 assaults 800 that my friends own did the same. We got an excuse from the dealer that it wouldn't be warrantied. Wasnt happy about that and had to settle for their fix instead of a new warrantied head.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from “Solid off trail sled” I would say after 1100 miles on my machine this season I’m ehhh, up in the air about my purchase. I wasn’t happy with destroying the entire rear skid 500 miles into the season. I broke a rear torque arm and destroyed both the rear shock and front track shock. My sled was out of commission for a few weeks, dealer said they’ve never seen anything like it. I’ve attached a photo of the front track shock. If Polaris wants to keep my business for the 2021 season, they better step their suspension game up. I’m glad everything was covered under warranty. I’m an aggressive rider but I’m not a racer by any means. I spent considerable money on a sled and within a month it’s in the shop for repairs already.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Fun Factor It took a while for my new 850 Assault to arrive, but once it did, I really enjoyed it. I was coming off a couple of different 4 strokes, the difference was night and day. So much lighter, and much more fun to drive. I was a bit worried going to a 2 stroke, but I never had an issue all year with over 5000kms, which I couldn’t even say about my 4 strokes. I had to break trail one day for over 100 miles, had a blast, my buddy following me got stuck 3 times, I had no issues in the almost 2’ of fresh powder. I hate to store it for the summer, I wanted to go out at least once more. I can’t wait to get back on it next winter. If I were to order a new sled for next year, it would be the exact same sled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy with sled I bought the sled this fall I have put about 500 miles on it so far it is a great sled and runs great however I recently bent a lower A arm on the sled and I had hit nothing and it did not bend up, it bent down due to weak metal I did not try to go through warranty because I knew I would get a hard time. My last sled was a ski doo that I bought brand new and rode it up until this year and put 4500 miles on it with no problems especially weak metal. Overall it is my first long track and I am happy with the overall design and features I'm not unhappy but just disappointed with what happened

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Top End issues The sled NOW works perfect - lighter torsion springs and a 1" ice attak track makes this almost as good as a Pro S. It is now my ultimate trail machine - i did the same to my 2014 Assault i had. Love them. This new engine is strong and smooth - but does have some surging and gasping issues near top end...i have 3 of them (all 2016 and 2017) ...two of the three have issues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sled. Unfortunalty i blew it up :( I bought this sled a month and half ago. Sled performed amazing. Great snap and super comfortable to drive. Unfortunately after 800 miles my engine blew up. The dealership has been great in looking after me, and should have me back on the snow within a weeks time. I should mention this is the first failure I have experienced in owning Polaris sleds over the past 15 years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Sled I have ever owned! This is the first new sled I have purchased since 1999. With school and a professional career, I got away from snowmobiling. I was always a Polaris ATV guy but never owned a Polaris sled. We had a local Arctic Cat dealer in the town I grew up in and just always bought Arctic Cat sleds. Test rode all of the comparable models and settled on the 800 Assault. First trip was out to Bottineau, ND, and the sled performed beyond my expectations. Super smooth, plenty of hp, and simply an awesome machine!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Sled on the Market forTrue on trail/off trail Great Sled! I had a 2015 Switchback Pro S prior to this sled and am very pleased with the performance of the Switchback Assualt. I feel that it is very comparable to the Pro S on the trail and is MUCH superior off trail. The suspension is excellent with good compliance yet still retaining the ability to absorb big hits without bottoming.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great overall sled Great sled. I would gave given 5 stars but i had two issues happen over the winter. One was second ride of year sled just died. Lost a day of riding and took us looking over everything to finally find that a wire harness wasnt fully connected . end of year while riding my thermometer went out. I purchased a new one and installed it. For having a 15k sled i should have any issues. I also understand things happens. That is why i am getting another 2020 polaris 850. These are my first polaris as i came from a ski and arctic cat. Almost 5 stars. Lots a couple days of riding .

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Looking Sled but... This is a beautiful sled! Great low end power & love how the 1.3 Cobra track hooks up. Negatives: very average handling on trail along with poor turning & lack of "flickability" in the deep mountain snow. However, it climbs & jumps like a beast! Ride an average of 1800 miles per season, 1/2 in MN & 1/2 in mountains. Going to try an SKS next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great job Polaris I purchased this sled as a snow check. Polaris finally made a rock solid outstanding performing 800. No worries regarding durability and the performance from the 800 motor is more than capable to say the least. Throttle response, clutching, and driveability are spot on and top of the 800 class. I had my doubts with Polaris 800 engines of past, but this 800 engine and axys chassis combination paired together are just amazing. The performance, ride, and handling are second to none! Great job Polaris! Now let's see a new 600 engine based on this 800 mill!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Real Truth I Snow checked the SB Assault to have the true dual purpose sled in my garage. Love the spring order options, colors, windshields, storage options etc. I would love to have more track options available. Hint a 1.6 Cobra would be a good middle ground option. On trail performance after the suspension was reset to the lightest settings and adjusting the handle bars to my preference, became a very capable, fun and engaging sled that can handle all types of trails at 95% of what my 16 Pro-S Switchback is capable of. The SB Assault 144 can corner like a 129 or 136 long skid. Hats off to the Polaris AXYS chassis and rider balanced positioning. This sled easily validates the claim that rider position balancing works and its not just a slick marketing catch phrase for the media to write about. Off trail this sled performs at a extremely high level that leaves a smile on your face and looking for new situations to challenge myself. The SB Assault can adapt to any trail or off trail conditions that I have encountered so far this year. I have had the opportunity to ride this sled in two to three feet of fresh snow this season courtesy of the generous lake Ontario lake effect snowfall . The deep snow performance of the SB Assault was amazing and opened up riding places that the "normal" so called cross over sleds could not effectively handle. Friends and fellow riders that have test rode this sled, come back astonished and full of positive adjectives on what they experienced. The grins and body movements truly tell the story of how they enjoyed this sled. They see the virtues of having not to compromise or have to have two sleds to accomplish all riding situations that come during a riding season. The SB Assault 144 is the Swiss Army knife of the snowmobile industry! Wish list items, suggestions and gripes. 1) Add other track options during spring order other than just the 1.3" or 2.0" options. 2) Offer a 600cc HO engine variation that has the light weight crank, V Force reeds, Electronic variable exhaust valve. This is not a price point sled and I do not want to jump up to the 800cc class engine. The proportional increase in torque and HP along with the better efficiency would be interesting. 3) Handle bar heaters that have more range than hot or almost warm. The first setting is almost worthless and the high setting can be too hot on days in the 20 degrees F and above. 4) Why are the forward chassis spars going from the steering post to bulkhead built of aluminum and not carbon fiber as the AXYS Pro S & X variations? 5) In my opinion the base line suspension calibrations are too stiff. Having the ability to adjust to stiffer rates should be dialed in by the owner based on his or her weight, riding style or conditions. Rather than have high spring rates and shock valve coding starting out on full stun, back this off 30% and adjust to firmer settings if warranted. Yes the shocks are adjustable but I have found that the lowest setting seems to work best. I rather be able to dial the shock settings up firmer rather than having no place to go lower to get more ride compliance. Thank you for taking the time to read this and allow other owners to give input to help shape the future products. Overall the SB Assault is a stellar snowmobile! Best regards, Karl

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth power. Fun, smiles for miles I took the sled straight from the dealer to the UP. Had a blast. No issues whatsoever. Could tell from mile one that it had allot of power and even my buddy on a 850 Ski Doo told me he was having a hard time staying with me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most fun I had in 15 years! This is my first Polaris snowmobile and the Assault has exceeded my expectations in every category. First being able to build the sled that I wanted; color, track, engine, accessories, etc. is second to none. I bought this for trail riding, and it is the most fun I've ever had on a sled. The 800 motor is so responsive and will wheelie at any speed which makes it a blast to ride coming hard out of corners or launching over bumps or hills on the trail. My friends are amazed how this package works. It is so light and balanced it makes riding a breeze. I'm no longer sore after riding 200 mile days other than my face after smiling all day! The seating position is perfect for me and was a big reason why I purchased this sled. The IGX rear suspension and the Axys chassis is a perfect combination and could be the best sled Polaris has ever built!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Rounded Machine Snow checked in April of 2016. This machine is the first Polaris I have ever owned. It is one sharp looking sled. The sled has great power. The clutching is spot on and is just plain fun. The suspension is very capable. Smooth yet has the ability to soak up monster shots. I wish Polaris had offered choice in skis during snow check, as I immediately had to upgrade the pro-steer skis. Bolt on OEM ice scratchers would have been such a nice addition. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and am still trying to learn Polaris snowmobiles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best of all worlds! This is the second Switchback Assault I've owned, the improvements on the 2017 Switchback Assault are exactly what it needed. The Axys chassis and the new 800 engine makes this the most enjoyable sled I've owned. The changes made to the controls were a huge improvement too. We mostly ride trails to get to the powder and on trail this sled is effortless and in the powder it's like the sled knows what you want to do! This sled rocks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply Awesome Bought this for my wife and daughters and now we all fight for who gets to ride it. Comfort, handling, acceleration are all beyond any other sled I have ridden. This sled goes where you want it to. My youngest daughter is 12 and she handles it easily. It's made her more confident and as a result she and my wife now want to ride more, which was my goal for getting it in the first place. Couldn't be happier at this point.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from assault I am happy with the snowmachine so far. I have not put a lot of miles on it yet, but it appears to be a nice engine package and suspension. I really like the track length and acceleration. The bar height and running boards are spot on. One complaint would be that shocks should have rebound control for rider to dial in ride further. A clip on second seat would be a nice accessory to justify sled to family members.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This sled is a beast! I received my sled in November. Finally got enough snow to get through the break in. The performance exceeded my expectations. It rips in the deep powder or on a trail (2" paddle). Unable to get it stuck...power lifts skis over anything. Only complaint is updating ryder-x on PIDD. Followed instructions, but date always shows old date. No trails loaded for Alaska that I can find...have to use cell phone to navigate. One recommendation would be wider skis like the prior year models came with (at least on the 2" paddle/deeper snow version).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing sled Had this sled since late January and have gone through about 14 sets of plugs before the engine went on it couple weeks ago. The engine is currently at Headingley sport shop for warranty work. I would have preferred a complete new motor based off the 2020 motor you will be using. But it sounds like they are replacing just the crank and reflash the ecu to break in mode. I hope to have it back with in the next week, we will have 2 months of riding here in Baker Lake, Nunavut. Yeah, baker lake, where polaris use to go test it's protypes in June.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best Polaris snowmobile I've owned yet. After only 500 miles on my new Switchback Assault I knew this was my favorite new Polaris snowmobile yet, out of the 28 I've owned through the years, (25 of which were Polaris). The 600 is a sweetheart of an engine and pulls strong, similar to my 2007 Switchback Cleanfire, only more refined, quieter and more powerful. The Cobra track hooks up well and I absolutely love the LED headlights.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 850 assualt is no joke! I put 947 trouble free miles on this year. Unbelievable handling and power! Suspension is easily dialed in and rode amazing. I have a bad back and a new sled was a must to keep riding. I could get off my 850 at the end of the day and feel no pain. I was very impressed with the way the 144 performed on trail. Handled great in the corners and always hooked up instantly coming out of them. This is definitely the most versatile sled I've owned! Went thru deep snow with ease. I really liked the 1.6" cobra track to get the best of both worlds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for This sled wants to kill you. It's looks angry and mean, and when you open up the tap, it goes like a Saturn 5 rocket. Be confident when you squeeze the throttle, because it is like a hyperspace button. All of that is of course in terms of power. Want some? Well guess what, it's there, because the moment you hit the throttle lever hard, it just wants to wheelie (catwalk). By no means is there an acceleration or power shortage. In other areas, it's phenomenal on and off trail. When riding in the backcountry, if you point it where you want to go it'll take you there without hesitation. And getting stuck? Is that still a thing? If you get stuck in Ontario weather, I'm assuming you haven't ridden off trail ever before. You won't get stuck, because if you even have little to normal experience, it won't trench you out under the power lines. Not if you know what you're doing. Amazing sled. My rate is 10/10.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wheels I bought a 2016 Snow Check. Overall it is a good sled. I am disappointed with the wheels in the track. I had to replace 2 of them after about 400 miles, because big pieces of rubber broke off. I was told it was because of trail conditions, even though I rode with 5 other older sleds and they did not have any issues. I have a friend that bought the same sled and he also had issues with the wheels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice handeling, light weight trail sled We got two this year. An 850 and 600. We rode every weekend and some weeks from December through March. Love them both! We have had short tracks before and decided to try a little longer sled. These both have been a great addition to our fleet. The 850 is much smoother running than the 800. Great power, good handling machines. Thank you for helping us have a fabulous winter !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ********Lots of POWER******* I bought my sled new at the end of the 2014/2015 season. I was so excited to upgrade from my 2010 Polaris Switchback Dragon 600. The only disappointment I really had was the lack of a winter in the 2015/2016 season. We had to travel far to find trails that were rideable. My buddies on their Actic Cats and Ski Doos couldn't even come close to me on the straight aways and when it came to the powder there was more than enough power to keep me moving. Whenever I would crack that throttle I could get the front off the ground instantly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from When running has a smooth ride with lots of power Bought it new. First year the sled would not start due to a computer glitch. Service had to clear it and reset it under warranty. Last year the sled overheated and shut down. This was caused by a defective switch on the cooling system. It cost a few hundred to fix. Just dropped it off today with the same problem plus the gauge cluster has no power. You would think a 3 year old sled with 2000 miles wouldn't have all of these issues. With the best snow conditions we have had in Vilas county I again am not able to ride.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 850 is Slower than a 2018 800 Polaris. Snow checked a 850 pro s switchback after four years of a 2015 800 pro s switchback. I was excited for the new motor after knowing how good the 800 ran. I tried not to judge the power of the 850 during the break in period. Also had two more 850s in our riding group one which blew up twice in a little over a thousand miles. We thought the other two ran decent until the day my year old 800 assault joined the group of now broke in 850s. It absolutely stomped on the 850s at every speed from a stop to a rolling start of any speed. It was very embarrassing to be a 850 owner after that. Our dealer has had multiple 850s go down and I know mine is a ticking time bomb. If Polaris doesn’t step up and do something for their most loyal customers who bought the disappointing 850s then that speaks volumes on what we mean to them. If they truly have fixed the 2020s then they should step up and fix the known problems of the 2019s and not leave us hanging with a hopefully one year disaster motor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the ride! Only got 250 miles on her before I had to put it up for the season. ran great the whole weekend. had to take some time to adjust the suspension for me but once tuned in it made the moguls actually enjoyable to ride as opposed to me hating them on my old sled. Had two issues: gas gauge must be off. My wife has the same sled and she was 1/8 of a tank more full than I was the whole trip except when topped off. the gauge went to zero and still kept running to the gas station 20 miles away without a hiccup but my wifes never went below 1/8 so something is up there. The reverse button is something of a pain...did not want to go into reverse every time. Im going to have these checked out before next season. Other than that its a sweet sled....fast, smooth, and rides like a dream!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2018 600 switchback I went from a 2011 pro-r which I loved to my new Switchback Pro-S and could not believe the difference. Handles better than any others I have owned. Absolutely no ski lift in turns and great performance all around. I am a hard rider and feel I don't have to hardly lean in the corners to make it handle like a race car. The 18" of fresh powder I got to ride it I felt it had great front end lift and hand ability. I absolutely love this sled and not sure how they will make the next generation any better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Head Gasket Blew after 700 Miles!!!!!!!! I snow checked this sled and had very high expectations for the 850 Switchback. After 700 miles the Oil Pump was leaking thru the weep hole in the block onto the ground and this was due to a water pump gasket failure. This happened during the peak of winter which resulted in losing the entire month of Feb. Had another bad experience with a snow checked 2015 800 Switchback that had fuel pump issues. These took over a month to diagnose. Needless to say my luck with Polaris has not been very good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great in the bumps I snowchecked my 2017 800 switchback pro s, wanted to be able to pick out my choice of color and gauge. it did need a little work to make it corner the way i feel a sled should. first time riding it feels like your riding a bulldozer through the corners it would plow so bad. We stopped on the side of the trail and had to suck the front limiter strap way up. it darts more now but at least i can corner. I do love how predictable it is on bumpy corners. You can ride this thing all day and not get sore, rides like a Cadillac. Plus that 800 has tons of power. I do think they could make the GPS better, i dont like that the map rotates, it gets a little confusing. Also every 25 hours i get a notification saying i need to change oil. they use that gauge on sled and sidebysides. its a little annoying.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Nice Sled We had a poor winter last year so it is difficult to give a true evaluation of what this sled is capable of. I really only rode this sled on very well groomed trails so I do not know what the ride characteristics of this sled are. The trails in my normal riding area can go from table top smooth to mogul city in a few hours. Once I get a chance to test this sled in varying conditions I will be able to supply a more thorough and honest evaluation of this sled abilities and capabilities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So awesome that I had to gt a second one! I originally bought a 2015 Switchback and enjoyed the ride and handling so much that I had to get another one for 2016 and now I've got two. They handle so well and ride so comfortably that they are the perfect machine for anyone from a novice rider to a very experienced rider who wants to run fast and maneuver smoothly through every corner from open trails to the hills and valleys. I absolutely love the new design, look and feel and the color schemes turn heads all the time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Everything I hoped for! Purchased from Thomboys in Owensound. Shane got me everything I wanted. Power of the 800 was awesome and the ride was smooth and compliant. Even though I had to hunt for snow last year and had to deal with mogul-like bumps I was able to dial the suspension to my weight and trail conditions with no problems. Handling was excellent in the twisties, long corners and lakes. My rides are longer and my "apres sled" time is more enjoyable. Can't wait for snow!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun fun fun fun I snow checked the sled and was very pleased with the purchase. Point your head where you want to go and it does it. Seat of the pants excitement. Every throttle squeeze is a dose of excitement. The control arms are a bit soft though. Rolled over a bolder at low speeds and my lower control arm dented almost flat! That was at 600 miles. But, I hear all of the brands are having that issue. Other than that, great sled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome sled I bought a 2017 leftover a couple years ago, loved it. With back issues, making riding painful, being a long time cat owner, it was hard to switch. I heard about the axys chassis with the switchback pro s, so I figured I would give it a try, loved it. So last year I snow checked a patriot 850 with the same chassis and to say the least it’s awesome!! Highly recommend for anyone looking for that smooth trail riding sled.

TITAN® XC® 155
Starting at $16,499 CA MSRP

The ultimate high-performance crossover.

2020 800 TITAN® XC 155 is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from good all around sled enjoyed first year with the Titan. Ran and rode great. Pulled well as well. Drawbacks are fuel and oil consumption, is also somewhat of a noisy ride. GPS system is not real user friendly. Book that comes with it is poor as far as explaining use. I would buy another though as it did everything i asked of it and is a very comfortable ride

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extream Crossover ! I bought this machine to replace my other 20" track machine that I have loved for years. Switching to another brand was a tough decision but it has surpassed my expectation and then some. I can now have one machine that I work around the camp with then head out with the crew to go play and fun ride and not be left behind... Love my Titan!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another perfect day of riding After only having the Polaris Titan for short period of time I’ve ridden in a variety of conditions . Hard packed to deep fresh powder. .Breaking new trails , riding hard snd fast , to just cruising around for a ride with our friends . The Titan is the perfect choice for my riding style and conditions .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great sled Made my first season with it and I like it a lot. Probably the closest sled to a brp skandic at slow speed in deep snow. Kinda disapointed by the fuel and oil it takes/km... a few less liters/km would have been great .No issues at all in 1500km
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rides and handles great I absolutely love this sled, just no happy about the amount of oil it uses, although Polaris has made an attempt to address this issue hoping that it comes with the new 850 patriot engine for 2020 with much better calibration on oil.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This sled does it ALL! Living in remote Alaska a person needs a work sled capable of towing and utility functions. But we also have the ability and freedom to play and ride in millions of square miles. Because of this its nice to have a play sled also......Now I have a sled that does both....absolute joy to ride. Does not feel or drive like a widetrack. And yes I high mark with a widetrack. Would have never believed it......Thanks polaris, the Titan is flat out awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth! You guys figured it out! Super happy with the purchase. Great all around machine! I've hualed fuel, groomed trails, done 70 mph up the river, broke trail, or just a lazy ride around the neighborhood. Super comfortable, fast, powerful, smooth. Transmission is awesome, so much smoother then previous models and love the reverse compared to the perc. Already have 3 friends going to snow check them next year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far impressed ! Bought a month ago and very happy so far. Was only very disappointed that after the first little trip I engaged the red parking break lever and it broke off. Other thing that didn't impress me was that I wanted to buy at my own dealer ( Trailside Sports Espanola ON ) they didn't have my model in stock and Mid City motors sudbury did not want to do a dealer trade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent ridability, excellent all the way around Does everything we could want! Great storage! Excellent winch! Superior comfort, and does wonderful through heavy thick snow that no others can attempt.... others call it a tow truck or a wrecker....we prefer The Limo!!! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rides great I bought this awesome machine about a week and ago and rode it a total of 150 miles this past weekend and it did great. There was 10 inches of fresh snow and it handled it like a champ, and it rode as good as my friends Indy on the groomed trails.

Date published: 2018-02-23
Rated 5 out of 5 by from After 350 miles, I love it With a dry weight of 454lb and about 125hp, the power to weight ratio is amazing. It still amazes me when I think that I am riding a 600. As with any cross-over, it does well with either trail riding or hitting fresh powder. Id say the capabilities of the sled lean a little more toward powder than trail riding. But it is a blast to ride in either case. I had it out after a large blizzard and had no trouble climbing hills and carving up the pole lines. I get a little inside ski lift on corners on the groomed trail, but its a 144, so I don't expect it to handle corners like my SRX does. Corner to corner throttle response is very good, it always feels very crisp and snappy. Older 600s I've driven, the acceleration planes out around 60MPH but this switchback has pretty strong pull to about 80. The ride over the bumps seemed to be less impressive than I expected. Given that I've been riding a 2001 SRX, I kind of expected a little more ride comfort when the trails get beat up. Especially given the 17 years of innovation in the suspension system, and the added length of the sled over my old 121. Summed up, I am very happy with my purchase. Its light weight, handles good, breaks trail good, and has a potent little power plant under the hood.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Most features are awesome, but..... I was actually excited about the allegedly heated windshield box for my phone and GPS. I shot the inside of the windshield box with a laser thermometer after a 45 minute run and the windshield box internally was the exact temp as inside of the rear storage box that is exposed to the elements.

After close to 25000km I decided it was time for a new sled. I decided to get another switchback adventure. I am so happy. It has an amazing ride! 60 lbs lighter, upgraded suspension and enlarged back cargo space for travelling. It is a beauty. I am very satisfied!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review by wife for non computer savvy hubby! He LOVES this sled. Have had all 4 major makes in 36 years of riding, keep going back to Polaris. He's always been a long track fan and, after riding our 2012 Switchback for a couple of years, decided to stick with that length when ready for new. Haven't heard him praise a machine like this one!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome handling Handles terrific. Love the way it manages moguls at speed. Fuel economy not so good. Handlebar warmer controls need 3 settings. Need an easy way to grease the suspension. Too much vibration thru the handlebars. Seat could be softer. Only got 309 miles on it due to warm temps last winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this snowmobile!! I bought this snowmobile in late December and have put 1,000 miles on it. It handles great on and off the trails. The extra features such as the larger windshield, mirrors, cargo rack and charger make it that much better. I added the 2 up seat and my 6 year old nephew and I love it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from ride sucks I snow checked this dog and its been difficult to find some think positive to say about it the darting and the very poor fuel and oil economy come to mind oh and there was the improperly programed digital display(no fuel gage) that should be a good start.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Sled My sled was an unplanned upgrade from a 2016 adventure 600. The ride once you get it tuned to you liking it is fantastic in the rough stuff. The 800 mill is Smith and lots of power for any rider.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rides very smooth I've been out of snowmobiling for a few years. The innovations are amazing. Much smoother ride than the older machines. I just wish the Ride Command had larger characters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2018 switchback adventure 600 Except for the fuel gauge that works sort of, it's an all-around great sled. My wife and father in law both have had back surgery and are not sore after riding it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from first 800 I have had have only been out for one ride but good so far might not have purchased this sled if Polaris had not dropped the Switchback Adventure from the 2020 line up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pro Rush S review Very nice sled! Pros: PIDD system is great! Ride is awesome and very easily adjustable. Power is adequate. Cons: Snow checked with the 1.375 lug track. The sled will not hook up, and since that's as deep a lug as I can go, I am unable to stud the track. Any more than 1.375 and I will hit the heat exchanger. Power is good, but for an 800 I expected more mid range. PIDD system is awesome, just a suggestion... how about adding outside air temp on the main screen so I can read it while riding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! Best handling sled I've ever ridden and I've rode them all! Super fast out of the hole, midrange is amazing and top end is mind blowing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Ride! I purchased the sled about 2 months ago and we finally have snow. I have put about 400 miles on it so far and I think this sled is absolutely amazing. The suspension is phenomenal. The ride is so comfortable and it corners like nothing. I purchased the 2up so my wife can come. she has a bad back and this past weekend we did a 105 mile run. She had no issues at all. I do not have to work so hard anymore. it just goes where you want it to go. Fantastic machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A problem about the PIDD I love the machine overall. I have some age-related arthritis issues in my arms/shoulders, and this is very easy to handle. The only issue is that I cannot get my trail maps on the PIDD as advertised here in New Brunswick as well as some other provinces, and I hope Polaris/RideCommand get a proper agreement with the provincial organizations ASAP. I gave up a years warranty for this feature and was not made aware it was not available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best color scheme available!!! I snow checked this model to get the beautiful color graphics only available on the snow check model. Besides the great coloristics! it also features the best dial in suspension front and rear, coupled with the most advanced digital gauge (PIDD) offered by any snowmobile manufacturer. Add all this to the rock solid high performance of the Polaris engine and you have the best sled made period!!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from haven't enough snow to ride it more ! The only think i find bad is the bottom instrument panel is to small to read with out glasses..Not that I need to see the clock and compass but, what a novel idea. The GPS works great and i believe it could be taken further ? Such as including towns names ? Lets face it trail signage isn't always the best out there and cell phone maps work sometimes .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Point and shoot The sled has a lot of power quick is a understatement. Where you point the skis it’s grabbing and going that way. Great riding sled. The two downsides to it is the seat is much stiffer and wind protection could be better. I have 1200 miles on it love to ride it. When you play around with the suspension you can set the ride to exactly how you like it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome ride and power After a season of riding the 850 and my 2016 800 back to back some days the 850 shines in midrange power, fuel mileage when riding hard. Oil consumption is high but I,m ok with that. Last ride of season though found oil draining from bellypan , it’s booked to go to dealers, hoping only a clamp on oil line and no engine damage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This machine fits like a glove This was my second new machine in 29 years, as a matter of fact I bought my first new machine a 1989 Indy 400, October 14, 1988 and I took delivery of my 2018 800 PRO S switchback on October 7, 2017 ! Those bars are definitely for hanging on ! This snowmobile has the perfect balance of power, performance and handling !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much fun! Absolutely love the pro s! I have a 16 as well but I love how the 18 runs cooler. The thermostat upgrade is amazing. I put the 2 up seat option on with the x spring in the rts and I can go from 2 up to single rider in a matter if seconds. I love my sled! Polaris rocks! If your on the fence don't be just get one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ride and handling My ride comand sucks it is a job to update it. It was out of date the first time I road it. My 2007 melted a mag piston every 1500mi and so does my 2011. My 2015 seams to be all right at 4000mi. My 2017 shut down at high speed last week the PPID came on after it shut down not before like it is suppose to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phenomenal! Best All around sled out there! I moved up to the 800 at the beginning of this season. The performance and handling of this sled out shines any other sled out there. The response in steering is unparalleled. You better hold on when you give it the throttle out of the corner and o no to the straightaway! Love this sled.
Date published: 2018-02-13
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it It's taken a little while for me to dial in the suspension the way I like it...but now that I've gotten it to that point its an awesome machine. The throttle is super responsive and snappy. The seat puts you up high and in the "attack position". Everything about this sled is fantastic!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Polaris RUSH 850 is awesome!!! I’m beyond happy with this sled. It’s very fast and a wheelie machine. Especially with the 850 power plant. I put on 1700 miles on it this year and no issues. On the trail the suspension dialed in right is great, I don’t have a sore back anymore. If you are considering a RUSH buy it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed! On my first and only trip this year with my new sled it broke down!! The chain tensioner broke which caused the chain, tensioner and both gears to break. For the amount of money I invested in the sled and upgrades, you would think it would run more than 98 miles before breaking!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Can't saw enough about this sled. We puchased the Pink Ribbon model for my wife (140lbs), shoe loved it. Rides fast, straight and always in control because of the axys and motor combo. Sled looks great as well, all blacked out with just enough pink to make it female friendly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome ride and surgeon like handling. I have 100 miles on the sled with little snow in Western NY this year. Had the sled out for one run and it is light years above the handling of my past 2011 Rush. I am sold on Walker Evans Shocks. My daughters 09 Dragon has them which convinced me to buy the 17 Pro S.
Date published: 2017-02-16
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great handling sled. Been out three times this early season and it rides very good. Very little ski lift as compared to my two previous axys sleds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome machine rides well great acceleration Received my machine last year did not get a lot of riding in due to low snow cannot wait to get back on at the time I did spend on it very exciting very different ride feel and acceleration from my previous Polaris snowmobiles

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rush Pro S Love the ride... just disappointed as my handlebars do not heat up well. The left barely works and the right gets warm. (My husbands are super hot all the time) . I needed to change sleds with him as my hands were freezing!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome handling! Best sled ever! Pick up and speed to spare. Light enough to put the sled where you want it on the trail without having to slow down for the corners. You feel like you're "carving" the trail instead of just riding it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing overall sled. I really like the rider position and handling of this sled. Very comfortable and a definite performer when you want to grab some throttle and crank it up. Handles the bumps very well and corners like its on rails.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Crossed over Fit and finish seems to be great I have not got to ride it yet as we have no snow but so far it seems like a great sled and appears as if Polaris is ahead of other manufacturers in quite a few areas . Happy so far !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great handling, and can very versatile My 2nd Polaris ever and 2nd axys. I been a cat and yamaha guy my life but wont go back now. Please keep inventing new technologies and putting such awesome RnD in your sleds. Oh ya, the fit n finish is awesome too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the ride and the handling I have rode switch backs for years and had mountain sleds. I like the rush pro s ride. I rode a friends pro s switch back and the ride wasn't much different than my sled but the cornering on mine was much better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like the power and the way it handles I wish that it came with a battery for the idd dash unit. I have to have it installed at a extra cost and why wouldn't you light up the controls for the heaters and etc.. Very dissapointed with that NOT option

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best of the best I have had this sleds for almost 3 months now and I don’t have a single complaint. This is an incredible machine. Not even comparable to any other sled I’ve ridden before. I’d give it 100 stars if I could!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the new control pod for heated handlebars etc I snow checked my sled sprint 2016 and am thrilled with the steering, suspension and updated control pod. I have one complaint. The headlight intermittently flashes which is not at all safe at night.

RUSH® XCR®
Starting at $13,799 CA MSRP

Race-ready strength and durability in the toughest terrain.

2019 600 RUSH® XCR® is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 82.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Choice I purchased in January and love every aspect of the sled. I have not begun to adjust the suspension. I am currently riding it as it came to see if I would like the ride. It is stiff on the tail end but I appreciate the stiffer suspension when riding the trails aggressively. The acceleration of the 800 is awesome however the top end is not like my 2003 XCR but the ride does not even compare. I am no longer sore after longer trips which at my age is a good thing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Overal Rough Trail Sled Sled does everything I thought it would.....it looks great, accelerates great and is an excellent trail sled no matter if it's tight woods riding or more open riding in the UP of Michigan. The shock package and chassis is second to none......I was riding beat up trail 45 outside of Paradise, MI with 2-3' rollers and chopped the throttle cresting an incline. On the other side was a huge hole I somewhat cased with the skis. Didn't hear a thud, bottomed or anything harsh. I actually stopped to make sure all was good with the front end and it was. Setup was spot on from the recommendation per the Polaris manual (some minor changes). I mainly bought the sled for the shock package and chassis and it delivers! I spring ordered a 2010 Ski-Doo XRS that I still have as a backup that I love, but the XCR is better in every aspect, and I love that sled as well. Big upgrade from my 2014 Pro R 800 that was not as good as the old XRS. Only dislike is the top end of the sled, but I knew going in it wouldn't have the legs of the 850 due to the smaller displacement and the 1 and 3/8" track. So I'm satisfied. The chassis and shock package more than make up for it as I'm not a lake runner and care more about 30-80mph pulls from corner to corner. It's clutched so well that I have a ball on it and love riding it. Not sure I really need the deep lug track, but I'm sure it helps it corner to corner. Would like to see the long life hyfax on the XCR as standard equipment if coming with a 1 and 3/8" track as I'm wearing more than usual, but the winter thus far has been poor regarding snow conditions I feel. It's been a good and satisfying buy to this date.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome sled I bought this at the beginning of the year have a 1,000 miles on it now, no problems the brakes are really aggressive and make a little noise but I came to find out it's just normal. The sled totally rips. Very happy except for the price I can get it for now since we had a terrible winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice trail sled my first rush, best handling machine I ever rode, my goal for 2017 was to find a machine that handled, coming off a series of switchbacks, I decided to give the rush a try, took a trip to the Gaspe with it

Rated 4 out of 5 by from DECENT Coming from a 2005 Ski Doo Rev, this sled rides amazing. The new shocks can really be dialed in to work great under all conditions, from horrendous 3ft moguls to flat and smooth. My only complaint thus far, was the constant darting under most but not all snow conditions. After reading up on it, the problem was remedied nearly entirely by shimming the back of the ski. Impressed with the power and smoothness, not so impressed with the gas mileage, but I didn't buy an 800 for its gas mileage. The power is excellent, the throttle response may be slightly lacking to the previous. I like the riding position, such that it is very easy to stand over rough terrain, yet I do not find it tippy at all. I have not had the opportunity to compare it to the new 850 Ski Doo, but I don't see how it could be much if any better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from XCR 600 After upgrading from an 07 IQ to this 2017 XCR 600 is one decision I don't regret. The handling and performance of this sled is top notch. The thing I'm most surprised with is how well it handles in corners and the acceleration coming out of them. However the first time I rode it I noticed a rattling noise coming from the right side of the sled. After taking it to the dealer they realized the brake shoes were hitting against each other. After putting a spring between the two that seemed to solve the problem. Also around 600 miles the electronic pickup sensor for my speedometer broke. Thankfully, under warranty my dealer had ordered the part in and got it fixed in under a week. One consideration I have is maybe to install some rubber isolators between the side panels and the hood as they shake quite a bit as the sled is idling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from XCR 800 2018. Unbelievable sled to ride. I snow checked the sled in 2017 because I wanted it short track. I had 2016 pro s Long track switchback. I liked the XCR because it was built heavier and I did not find any ride difference between the long track and short track. Once I understood how to set up my suspension properly it was a smooth as silk. And will take any bump you can throw at it. This sled makes me look good. LOL

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Super Dissapointed....seized engine Rode my XCR for 500 miles and loved it. Then seized engine had to be towed home.Spent 2 weeks in shop waiting for parts. Got it back and rode 90 miles and died, had to be towed 90 miles back and took to dealer again. CPU faulty had to wait 10 days again. Missed the best part of season. Dealer was great with a loaner sled and trying to get parts but Polaris would not overnight parts to Canada

Rated 5 out of 5 by from IMO the best chassis on snow! Had a 2015 800 pro-s. Loved the sled just the shock package was a little to soft for aggressive riding The XCR package in the AXYS chassis is the funniest sled I’ve ridden! Team it up with the new patriot 850 and it an amazing combination! Best 1500 mile I’ve put on a snowmobile. PS I hope they bring the 121 XCR AXYS BACK!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dominant I have been a loyal Polaris guy my entire life and I have purchased a new Polaris snowmobile almost every year since 1991 (look it up :) ) My 2017 800 XCR is by far the most awesome, best handling, quickest, most confident inspiring sled I have ever owned. I feel sorry for anyone who hasn't experienced it.
Date published: 2017-02-20
Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2017 XCR 600 800 miles with no luck on getting suspension dialed in. A baseline setting is far too vague with the number of adjustments available. A better detailed "the perfect fit" section may help. Categorized by weight and riding style. Reviews have most owners baffled as to how to make these sleds work.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Only 550 miles so far Say this first. Been 15 years since my last sled. Need to ride it more to give a really accurate review. But I am struggling to get this sled adjusted to me. I replaced factory carbides for 8" executives. But this machine still will not carve and hold a corner the way I want. Pushes in the corner. Can not be under power in corner. I am forward on the sled so pressure should be on the skis. Lowered nose of sled with front shock springs. Increased spring pressure on rear shock. Don't want to loosen the front rear skid shock too much. But with the clickers I notice no differences when adjusting them. But snow conditions keep changing too. I will keep trying. I am thinking new skis. But I have faith. Just being honest. The motor 800. On the trail never looking for more power. Love it. Makes me smile. Brakes and clutching perfect! Fuel mileage? Not great but acceptable. Very fun sled. But I am not sure if the handling is good. The sled is a lot taller than my last 2000 xcr. Lower center is faster in a corner. But what my body says the next day after a ride is awesome. No pains at all. Sled does not beat you up at all. If I can get this sled to carve a corner I will have zero complaints.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rear back shock hit my tail bone LOL Very solid machine , it’ runs good on my bumps , it has good throttle response the only thing I didn’t like if I hit my tail bone my the back rear shock. All in all i wouldn’t change anything I’ve owned 2 xcrs 17-18 models the 2018 is a 137’ both are 800

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great aggressive trail sled Have 350 miles on this sled and I can't believe how well it rides, takes bumps and jumps, turns flat, etc, etc. Absolute joy to ride hard. Plenty of power to 70, tops out a little early but it's a 6, not an 800. Having a blast with this sled, very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent handling and ride I bought this machine about 10 days ago, just put the odometer over 600 miles on tug hill, and I can say first hand this is the best thing I have ever ridden. The handling is on point and its so smooth on acceleration. If you want power, its there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good handling Rode for the first time in Old Forge and was impressed with the handling of the varying terrain. Handled the turns very well. Good stand up stance. Comfortable in the rough stuff. Easy to go from a sitting to a standing position and back to sitting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST SLED I HAVE EVER OWNED rides like a cloud on all terrain, takes everything I dish out and asks for more. Great in rough trails and in open whoops. You can hammer down all the way over 2-3 feet moguls and not feel a thing, just hang on, it will rip you arms off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great trail sled!!! The 2017 600 Rush XCR is a great riding snowmobile. Only downfall is the factory carbides, snowmobile tended to dart.. Swapped out factory carbides with 4 inch dual carbides. Darting is gone and handling is unbelievable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from XCR 800 - Great sled ! It is an amazing machine, the low end torque is so responsive; it's awesome. Great cornering sled, inside ski lift is minimal once dialed in. Handles the rough trails amazingly well at a high rate of speed....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best looking sled out right now! This sled is the most phenomenal mogul masher I have ever ridden. The harder you ride the less you feel the bumps. We also own 1 2015, 2 2016 base model Indy's and 1 2016 SP terrain dominator. The Indy's and the RUSH style sleds are both awesome sleds and I have trouble deciding which one to ride because they both perform so well in different scenarios. I can't honestly say one is better than the other. The newly designed 800 engine is absolutely out of control! Will you guys please put the new 800 engine in the Indys again! I have rode Yamahas for the last 10 years now and switched to Polaris 2 years ago. I have 4300 miles on 1 of my Indy's and haven't had any trouble whatsoever yet. I haven't even changed the spark plugs or the belt. I can tell your engineers put a lot of man-hours into the setup of all your sleds by how well they handle and how light the steering feels. I think you guys are on track to being the Kings of the snowmobile industry. Keep up the good work, and you have all my business for years to come. Thank you for making our snowmobile seasons so enjoyable and trouble free! Ben and Lisa Nixon

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They built the sled for ME. Perfectly tuned for me from the factory. My other sleds are switchbacks and now when I go back and use them they obviously feel too long for mostly trail riding.

Switchback® XCR®
Starting at $14,499 CA MSRP

Race-proven strength and durability in the toughest terrain.

2020 600 Switchback® XCR® is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 112.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great handling! I bought this sled 2 months ago and put on 500 miles so far and rides like a dream. Easy to operate, great appearance. Love the handing and ride experience. For a xcr could use a lil more top end, it has trouble keeping up after 60mph. I wish the sled had a little bit more storage and came standard with the pidd.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Balanced Snowmobile The Axys chassis is exactly as advertised. The XCR takes this already fantastic chassis to another level. The Hi/Low speed clickers let you dial in for current conditions in just seconds. Coupled with the 800 engine, the fun factor is exhilarating! Quickest accelerating sled in its class!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2018 800 Switchback XCR This is by far the quickest and best handling sled I have ever owned, or ridden. It is amazing!!! I was very impressed with the "snappy" thumb response during break in, then at about 450 miles it just woke up. I was actually laughing in my helmet....it is amazing!!! I LOVE IT.
Date published: 2018-02-24
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trail domination I purchased my xcr switchback 600 at the beginning of February. It was just in time for a twelve inch snow around home. Our riding here is open fields and ditches. After the break in procedure was done, I ran 150 miles in bombed out ditches. Everything I could throw at it and it just smiled and asked for more. Fast forward a week and it was on to a few days of trail riding in northern Wisconsin. Razor sharp handling and took anything the trail could throw at it. Very impressed. My favorite sled so far

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Elite Machine I purchased this sled in early December and have been extremely impressed by every feature this sled has to offer. It is an absolute monster on the trails and truly is a superior machine to the other sleds on the market. 100% satisfied with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Serious Power and Serious Traction What a animal. I road 850 Indy and my Switchback had considerable more traction. Really amazing how much traction it has. Pull is amazing. 850 is an animal. I had a pro-s Switchback before and the XCR Shocks are considerably better and upgraded brake system had better feel and stopping power. I ride flat out all the time and this is really the best sled for it. Only thing that would make it better is if people on Skidoo's knew how to stay on the right side of the trail so I could get by them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I Snow check it, waiting a long time for snow to ride. It’s very impressive old is a 99 SKS 700 not on the same playing field

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the tunability of the suspension. Love the ride of this sled. Such a comfortable machine to ride over long distances.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sold machine 3/4 way through season! Disapointment I purchased new 2019 850 XCR, which was my 8th Polaris sled. This was one of the biggest disappointments I have ever purchased from Polaris. Myself as sell as several friends all had the chain case gears blow and strand me with 400 km on the machine. That and the endless other issues made be dump the sled 3/4 way through the season and never look back. This is very possible the last Polaris I own unfortunately as I have lost my confidence. It cost me thousands of dollars in losses selling the sled and absolutely no dealers wanted to buy the 2019 Polaris with an 850 engine. This included the dealer I bought it from, so I had to unload it privately. Now, to decided to make the switch to Skidoo, or take another expensive chance. Hard decision. I love the PRO chassis, and handling is best in the industry hands down. But the new 850 is a problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awsome sled The switchback was all i hoped for and more. Its stable and smooth through the trails making it idea to go touring with friends and family on weekends but still has the pick up to race on the lakes. I really lime the rear suspension! It seems like the bumps just are not there as it glided over the beat up D trail on family day weekend. Overall i love my new ride and look forward to every weekend i can take it out for a rip

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sled! I traded in my 2016 Pro S 800 for the 2018 600 XCR and rode the 2018 last season. Great power and response from the 600. I do miss the 800 power and pull but in the corner to corner trail riding I do the 600 was a very manageable and fast when I wanted it. The XCR rides a bit stiffer than the Pro S but I was expecting that and loosing the shock springs and hi/lo shocks have given me a better trail ride experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than a Skidoo 2018 600R After about 1000 miles, couldn't be happier with my purchase. Sled ran perfect all season with no headaches of any kind. Engine was strong and especially on the colder days has more than enough pull for trail riders of all abilities. My friend purchased a 2018 skidoo 600R for this season and after riding both, a fellow rider bought a 600 Switchback XCR and like me, couldn't be happier.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Should've stuck with ski-doo I bought the 2018 Polaris XCR Switchback 800 thinking it'd be a great sled. I've had more problems with it than the 5 years I've owned a 2012 Renegade 600 E-Tec. I've never had any problems with that ski-doo, but with this Polaris, I've had many issues from it not being able to start, fouling out approximately 6-8 spark plugs. I'm considering selling it and returning to ski-doo.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handles great I bought this 850 at bonter Polaris in Marmora Ontario It’s a strong motor but not as fast as your 800 I have been beat easily buy an 16 stck switchback pro s and a 19 switchback assault 800 Your clutching is too light .. friends call it the XCR 750 Other than that it’s a reliable fun sled with second to none handling I suggest you do something about the clutching

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous sled I have ridden the PRO series chassis since 2012 and wouldn't change a thing, absolutely love the ride and handling, had the opportunity to ride the XC this winter and it is also great but just not as comfortable or nibble in my opinion, will always be on the PRO. The new 850 is spot on, all kinds of pull threw the whole power band and smooth as silk, love my Polaris
Date published: 2019-04-20
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing handling sled! The Switchback XCR is the best handling sled I’ve ridden. @ 6ft, 220+gear, the sled never bottoms out and corners on rails. Handlebars are at the right height for me and love the feel of the Hayes Race brake system. The 850 patriot engine is so crisp and smooth. In the XCR it is not a top speed getter (gearing) but does it ever rock corner to corner!
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good sled Fast, dependable, excellent handling snowmobile. Best front end in the business; it literally soaks up everything. Rear end dampening is good in rough stuff but mediocre in the low speed stutter bumps. My only complaint was the center track shock compression adjustment would not adjust on my xcr from the factory. Other than that very happy with it.
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Switchback xcr 850 Sleds absolutely awesome, handles amazing, has good power. The only two things I don’t like and actually changed are the cobra track and the Hayes brake lever. The brake lever is too close to the handle bar and would hit my other fingers during braking. The cobra track is way too soft and doesn’t hook in my riding conditions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome 2019 XCR 850! I received this sled in November and have around 1200 miles on now. The sled works awesome and I love the new engine, it’s is excellent on fuel and oil. I also have a 2015 Polaris PRO X 800 that I bought new. I find the pro x a little lighter then my new XCR on the front end which I like but the new engine makes up for it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Go hard or go home. Great sled. Excellent riding sled whether ditch banging or trail riding. Love the suspension and engine has great acceleration. Pulls hard from just off idle to WOT. Would easily have rated it 5 star except for the time spent fixing center crankshaft bearing oil line coming off TWICE. Lost 3 weekends of riding.
Date published: 2019-05-19
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful and Great handling! I Snowchecked my 2018 Switchback XCR, and I cannot imagine being any happier with the performance. This 800 has truckloads of power throughout the RPM range, and this suspension makes it handle like it is on rails! Easy shock and spring adjustment for the kind of riding I do. Over all a fantastic sled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I didn’t let my engine cool down last winter I put 3000+ miles on and everyone of them was smooth even when the snow was a little rough. Anybody wants a snappy smooth ride and sled this is the one I put 3000+ miles on and every one of them was smooth even when the snow was a little rough. Anybody wants a snappy smooth riding sled this is the one

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Sled Traded up to this February 2018 after a trip to Cochrane and my old sled a 500cc was way underpowered for my riding group. Traded up to this 2018 XCR 800. Amazing power great has an oil mileage and so far no major issues. Almost 5000kms on it and switching plugs belt and sliders this summer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The XCR is the real deal The xcr switchback is stable and predictable in rough trail conditions. Never feels out of control. It's a hoot to look back and see others falling farther behind. It's suspension is made for super aggressive riding in not so hot conditions. If your looking for a trail cruiser, this is not the one for you. Tends to be a little rigid in studder bumps but, eats bigger bumps with ease. The pro s would be the best choice for most riders. Lucky for me I have both. The switchback does have the trademark Polaris inside ski lift. It's very predictable and never feels like your going over. It does lose some fun factor with the longer track. Doesn't pull ski's in the air like the short track. Hit it and the skis are about 2-3 inches off the ground and the sled rockets forward. Does not transfer as well as my pro s short track but, I'm suspecting it's the heavier shock package on the switchback. All and all I love the sled. It always ends up in a argument who's riding what when we go. I'll pick the xcr everytime.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent handling, with arm stretching power Vermont had an excellent winter and i was able to put 3109 miles on my new 2019 Polaris 850 xcr switchback. The sled ran beautifully all year.last ride of the year i had an error code come up on dash and states throttle was stuck open,i spoke to my dealer and it will be addressed

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smoothest ride I ever owned!Yet fun and Aggressive I bought my XCR 800 Switchback in March 2018 and have rode 4600 miles. Has been a awesome fun ride and highly recommend to anyone on trail or off. I would buy this sled very same again only with the new 850 Had a little trouble with exhaust valve cable at 2700 mile.
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from 18 Xcr I love the sled, just one issue. I'm getting a loud clicking sound at low speed. Had it to the dealer, they could not detect why it is doing it. Sounds like the track clips are striking the slides. Hoping when it brakes in it will go away. <300mi on the sled.
Date published: 2018-02-25
Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice sled lack of color choices for the XCR is disappointing, and for 2020 I think its worse including the color combinations, it should be you have the same color choices as all the other models, headlights I think have a too narrow light beam and needs to be wider
Date published: 2019-05-25
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tons of fun I love this thing. The sled has so much power and is super light. Handles like it's on rails. The harder you push it the better it gets. The only thing that I could think of to make it better is a light by the left controls so you can see them at night.
Date published: 2018-02-23
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The most amazing sled I've ever owned Snow Checked at Chopper City, Fridley MN. Best prices anywhere. Ride quality is amazing, way more power than the '17 Pro X 800 I traded in. Simply cant ride it enough. Only got 1900 miles on this season. Motor hasnt skipped a beat. Flawless.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great performance AND value! I purchased this sled for my son to ride. Overall we are completely impressed with both the performance and the value that the sled brings. The only negatives were the track being too low of a profile (which we have already changed out) and the suspension springs being a little on the soft side. Otherwise we would’ve given it 5 stars.

INDY® LXT
Starting at $9,899 CA MSRP

Trail touring.

2020 550 INDY® LXT White Lightning is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 32.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome two person trail sled! I absolutely love my Indy 550 LXT! Being fairly new to snowmobiling, I wanted a sled that would comfortably seat two people. The LXT is perfect for a second rider and you hardly notice that someone is seated behind you. The sled handles great on the trails, and does have enough power to climb a hill or ride off trail. It's easy to handle and super comfortable to ride.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good all around machine Purchased new in 2018 - Used sleds seem to hold so much value I figured a new one would serve me best; A two year warranty was also a bonus. Can't seem to set the clock for the life of me, even after googling and speraking to two seperate dealers - Maybe I'll bump into someone on the trail that has had some better luck!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice sled Bought this sled because our indy 600's couldn't handle our 12 year old and we need to ride so a 2 up it was. We wanted the adventure 144 but found only one and by the time we got there it was sold:( The cobra track is the only way to go the one inch is not very good and get stuck alot with that track.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Loved the styling & graphics The engine performance and clutching work in perfect harmony. My only recommendation would be a variable thumb & hand warmer controls. Low is not warm enough on cold days and hi is too hot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far So good! Bought a new Voyager in November and still waiting for serious snow that I don't have to trailer to. 450 miles so far, more power than an old man needs, I love the way it want to climb!
Date published: 2018-02-13
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Crossover sled I bought this at the beginning of the year and put on around 570 miles. The machine is great for utility and trail riding, but I wish it had more suspension adjustment options.
Date published: 2019-04-18
Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love the power and the floatation in deep snow. I road it last year and my only complaint is the stiffness which cant be further adjusted. It might clear up as I ride more. Otherwise, looking forward to a new season.
Date published: 2016-09-02
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent, steady snowmobile snowmobile is heavy, definately pack a winch when going through deep snow. very powerful, fairly wide sled. Heavy enough that it gets stuck in reverse rather easily.
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from light weight and electronic reverse used for trail making for exploration company. went into areas I would not have gone with a larger more powerful machine
Date published: 2019-04-18

Voyageur® 155
Starting at $9,899 CA MSRP

Off-trail riding plus utility.

2020 550 Voyageur® 155 is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 48.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hunter/trappers Dream! This snowmobile is by far the best handling sled I have owned. Pulls six dogs behind it and all my trapping gear with ease! I am very happy with my new Polaris!
Date published: 2018-02-12
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good all around performance I bought two rental sleds from an agency in West Yellowstone Montana in March of 2018 at their year end sale. They both have in excess of 3K miles on them. I paid half what new sleds would have cost me. I was assured that the sleds had been well maintained so I thought I would go for it. So far in using them I have not been disappointed. I pull a sleigh with survival gear behind one of them and the sled performs as if nothing is behind it. Have not had any problem breaking 2'-3' of powder. Hand and thumb warmers work great. Sleds start with just a touch of the ignition key. Have not had any problem with them overheating. I purposely wanted fan cooled sleds as other water cooled sleds I have owned were prone to have water leaks, maybe it was just my bad luck. Anyway, no worries about water leaks from a water pump etc. with these sleds. One sled came with the smaller windshield and one came with a larger one. I wish both had the larger wind shield but I can always buy one if I want to. The larger windshield definitely blocks allot more of the cold wind. Anyway, both of these sleds when I purchased them even though they had over 3K miles on them looked brand new and perform the same way. So that being said, anyone considering buying one of these sleds new can probably rest assure you won't have any problems for a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I was hesitant at first to buy a 550 fan thinking it would be a little slow with the long track, but after riding it for a year I couldn't be happier. Great power and handling for a fan. Trail riding was awesome as well, very surprised by its ability to keep up in the trails with the big sleds. Would recommend this sled to anybody who enjoys ice fishing, pulling a slay or shack across the lake. You may not beat them crossing the lake but this sled is such a great bargain you won't miss the 5 to 10 mph your buddies have on you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from go anywhere Very happy with machine. If there is any negative it's a little tippy.
Date published: 2017-02-25
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very versatile snowmachine! I bought this non current model in late this February and was amazed of the units versatility. I'm able to store all my gear for a weekend fish trip using a large Tough Tote (in pic). Trail handling is better than expected and have traveled 120 kilometers a day several times with out any issues and keep up to heavy trail machines. I enjoy the larger windshield I had installed and notice a huge difference once I studded the predilled track. This year's snowfall ( Northen Ontatio)was huge and there was no issues breaking trail in 5 ft of fresh snow and floats on 18 inches of slush. All in all I'm very impressed and very happy with my choice. Great machine! BTW shout out to Gerry at Bourques in Cochrane. Great service and super nice staff. Set me up perfectly, much appreciated!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Swiss Army knife of snowmobiled I bought this snowmobile at the start of the 2018-2019 riding season, I put 1100 miles on it doing everything from breaking trails to ice fishing to trail riding to pulling sleighs of gear or firewood. The coldest day i rode was -44 degrees Celsius while cutting trail and the warmest day being a 300+ kilometre trail ride on a late winter +5 Celsius day. Although a little hard on fuel in the warmer weather, this machine started and ran flawlessly no matter what the temperature or job. Going from a 600 liquid to the 550fan I was a little concerned with what a good cruising speed/ top speed would be for those longer unloaded trail rides, I found it will cruise comfortably at 55-60mph with a top speed of 68 mph...if you are looking for a snowmobile that for more than one aspect of the sport I would strongly recommend a 550/155 Polaris Voyageur

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Right for Me! I bought this machine because I was looking for a machine to use over the Christmas holidays (a few days away). The owner of Bourque's was knowledgeable, upfront and a great ambassador for his company. Delivery was as promised, quick and efficient - the snow machine was loaded on the train for us two days later. It has proven to be a comfortable ride and is so easy to start and drive. The size is also just right for me as it is easy to handle.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice snowmobile but.. We bought our machine in November and took it to our cabin, used it off an on for a month had a great time, beautiful snowmobile but then the automatic starter wouldn't work properly so have to use manual pull. We will be bringing the snowmobile in for repair as soon as we can.
Date published: 2017-02-25
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine; I almost bought the tundra. I was worried the 155 was going to be too long. It gets around as good as my buddy with the LXT 144. I have been nothing but impressed with the capabilities of this machine. It rides great on trails and in the powder. Unlike other machines I can ride trails in the warm weather and dont need to worry about overheating nearly as much. This has been a great machine one season in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sharp looking sled I snow check the voyager. I picked it up last September. I installed PRO-RIDE ULTIMATE FRONT BUMPER- WHITE, WHITE SKI HOOPS, WIDE TINTED WINDSHIELD, SET OF WHITE HOOD SCREENS, tunnel decals, and I had some decals made that are 550 in black/white like the other POLARIS sleds. My voyager looks real sharp. We had a bad snow winter last year. I only put 11 miles on the sled last winter. But I really loved it. Praying for the mother load of snow this year. On a bad note. I did have to bring the sled back to the dealer twice. First trip was the slide stuck in one of the carbs, (and the dealer never cleaned up the mess from the belly pan. not real happy with that.) The second time, when I got home from picking up from the dealer, both high beams did not work. Back to the dealer again. They told me they both where blown. Voltage regulator at the dealer for a week. I had 120 miles on the sled back and forth on the trailer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all purpose sled I bought two of these for back country boondocking and for ice fishing. They are comfortable for riding the marked trails, agile through the woods for the back country boondocking we like to do, and have plenty of power for the mountains and hauling the ice shack and gear. We've had them in the mountains, "off trail" on old logging roads and twitch trails, and just bombing out through the woods. I did modify the rear with custom racks to suit our needs for what we like to carry with us. The biggest plus is the agility, but the only complaint I would say is they are not as stable as the old style sleds we had. That took a little getting used to. One thing to keep in mind, the wide flotation skies are fantastic in the deep powder but they don't cut a line on hard pack and will slide sideways. Over all, for the mixed purposes, I don't think we could have found a better sled that can do it all. And believe me, I did the research.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Voyageur 155 I bought it in January. first trip was running really rough. we change jets right away, first day. Machine ran better but not perfect. Next trip the clutch blew up. Dealer, Checkerflags in Whitehorse is excellent, covered the repairs under warranty. This is my second voyageur. The first one runs like a clock. Maybe the second one is a Friday machine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Snow ninja This season I decided to Purchase a Polaris 550f voyager with the 155” track. We just received 553 cm of snow this season and did not get stuck once. It will go anywhere. The track and handling is amazing. It does suffer in fuel economy and is a little on the cheaper side in the assembly department. But it’s a great overall machine for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love My Polaris Polaris builds high quality snowmobiles, had one in the 70's and would keep going when others were breaking down or couldn't handle the harsh conditions. I'm getting back into the snowmobiling and wanted a sled I could count on. I used it in the back woods and want to take it icefishing. I has an appealing design, looks as good as it runs.
Date published: 2016-09-07
Rated 4 out of 5 by from tippy The machine was set up originally with the narrowest ski stance. I found it very tippy. At the end of the season I had the dealer widen it to the max so it should be better this year. Also only had 1 light on low beam that worked all others were burnt out from day 1. New light bulbs were installed on the 200 mile check up under warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awsome Super flotation over 4' of snow got me every place I wanted to go. Hulled in fire wood from bush no problems lots of traction with the 155-1.6 track and the 550 fan had plenty of power. Added 2up seat and large storage rack with plastic insert amazing amount of storage. Extreamly happy with purchase
Date published: 2019-04-18
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great ice fishing machine! The Voyageur 155 is a beast off trail and in the bush. This machine will go anywhere. The setup with the wide skis and articulating rear suspension performs really well. Had a problem with the chain tensioner breaking, but Polaris fixed the problem to questions asked.
Date published: 2018-03-13
Rated 5 out of 5 by from All around back country machine I compared other makes and models and this machine was a better value. The performance is better than expected. perfect for back country use as well as trail riding, and work. I added the large rack and it is worth the extra cost.
Date published: 2019-04-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Voyageur 550 155” I bought this last winter, it’s been a great all around machine for trail riding, ice fishing, and breaking trail. Thinking of buying another for the wife next year.
